'I'm trying! If only you didn't…' Shye inwardly retorted, feeling extrely wronged.
Naturally, he knew that he was partially at fault for suddenly becoming uncontrollably lecherous, hence, he could only grit his teeth while trying to focus on calming his little brother down.
Well, a part of why he was struggling was because his skills were mostly for killing people or monsters, and he of course wouldn't use such skills in a simple duel, especially against his respected instructor, Fienna.
On the other hand, Fienna's skills were mostly focused on enhancing her already top-notch combat techniques.
Despite her remarkable combat finesse enabling her to employ skills like [Parry] even against monstrous creatures, these abilities were better suited for adventurer duels.
Hence, Fienna was truly at a huge advantage in terms of skills.
Naturally, though, if the two of them were fighting inside a simulation do, Shye would instantly destroy her in a few moves as there was no need for him to hold back.
Fienna also just realized this fact and was unsatisfied with the current situation.
Thus, after going through an internal struggle, she ultimately decided to temporarily step back, allowing Shye to finally fix his manhood problem.
Fienna then retrieved a blue talisman which appeared incredibly rare even at first glance.
"F-Fienna! A-Are you serious?! Why are you using such an important life-saving item for a friendly duel?!" Adrian said, clutching his head in absolute disbelief and horror.
"Hmph! Crowley, you're holding back because this isn't a simulated environnt, right? Well, this talisman will let transform into an azure light and return to my guild headquarters if you manage to kill . So, no need to hold back. Go all out and show the true capabilities of Valenzia's strongest rookie in history!"
Of course, Shye himself was dumbfounded upon witnessing his forr instructor's decisive actions.
'There was no need to go to such lengths, was there? This is only a friendly duel…' Shye inwardly thought, realizing sothing soon after. 'Maybe not to her, though…'
He would naturally respect his instructor's wishes.
If he still held back despite Fienna's decisive actions, he would be nothing but a disrespectful wuss.
This ti, he was out to kill his forr instructor.
With one flap of his wings, Shye reappeared in front of Fienna, causing her eyes to widen in a slight panic.
She only encountered such speed whenever she sparred against her big brother, who was an adamantite-ranked adventurer.
'Hmph, If you think you can catch with just this, you're underestimating !'
It wasn't just that, though.
Just when Fienna was anticipating an attack from the front, Shye disappeared once more, reappearing behind Fienna the next mont using [Blink].
'Crap! [Bracer]!'
Despite her initial panic, Fienna's battle-hardened senses enabled her to use the appropriate skill for the situation, [Bracer].
This skill allowed her to absorb 90% of Shye's next attack and prevented her from being knocked back, giving her the opportunity to counterattack imdiately afterward.
Unfortunately, Shye was smart enough to determine that Fienna, with her immaculate combat sense, would be able to respond to his series of maneuvers.
Hence, to make sure that he would be able to catch her off-guard, Shye decided to feint two tis.
This allowed him to lure out one of Fienna's important skills.
Naturally, Shye wouldn't be stupid enough to attack the orange octagonal barrier that erged from his instructor's back, opting instead to use [Dash] to once again reappear beside her—close to her right ear.
*ROAR!*
A mighty roar sounded the next mont, allowing the instructor herself to understand what Shye's opponent felt after being on the receiving end of such a strong psychological skill.
Utterly confused and horrified, Fienna couldn't think or move.
Still, after promising that he would go all out, Shye naturally wouldn't hold back, deciding to use one of his trump cards to rcilessly finish Fienna off.
Replacing one greatsword with his ruby-tier elental staff, Shye aid it straight at Fienna's forehead.
'Ninth Devastation Ray!'
*FWING!*
"Fienna!!" Adrian exclaid worriedly, almost drawing his sword and shield out to attack Shye in anger after montarily forgetting that Fienna crushed her life-saving talisman just for this.
As the azure ray of hyper-condensed mana pierced through the forr instructor's head, she turned into a ray of light that shot toward the headquarters of the Akuga Adventurer Guild, the fifth-ranked guild in all of Valenzia.
Naturally, the guild staff assigned to watch the guild's ergency station was startled upon seeing an azure ray of light materialize into a human.
"M-Miss Fienna Evans, correct?"
"Yes, I am indeed Fienna Evans."
"M-May I ask what happened? Did a monster do it? Or were you ambushed? The guild will naturally issue a hunt order as long as you report this to the quest receptionist desk."
"No need for the guild to interfere. You may forget this even happened."
"I-I see…I wish for your safety, Miss Evans…"
Nonchalantly nodding at the guild staff, Fienna exited the guild headquarters and headed once more to the dueling grounds.
However, although it appeared that she was unbothered by what happened, the bittersweet feeling in her heart intensified at least three tis after her defeat.
Her feelings were hurt after being surpassed, yet, at the sa ti, she was very happy upon seeing how strong her forr student already was.
It seed that her hunch was correct.
Shye was undoubtedly destined for greatness, likely extending beyond their region to impact the entire world.
'Sigh…it was ant to happen. No need to dwell much on it.'
If Shye only knew how easily Fienna solved her internal struggles, his respect for his forr instructor would probably burgeon to the high heavens.
His growth rate was indeed way more explosive than Fienna's, however, in terms of ntal fortitude, Shye was simply no match.
…Arriving at the dueling grounds, Fienna had the urge to facepalm upon witnessing the scene of his older brother picking a fight with Shye.
"Y-You! How could you heartlessly kill your forr instructor?!"
"C-Calm down, Big Bro Adrian! I just respected her wishes!"
"Hey, you idiot! I'm still alive, so why are you picking a fight with an erald-ranked rookie? It was my idea to see my forr student's full strength. Stop embarrassing ."
"F-Fienna! You're alive! O-Oh, right! Sorry, Crowley. I forgot she used an ergency talisman," Adrian said with a sheepish smile, awkwardly fixing Shye's clothes after ssing them up.
"I-It's fine."
Sternly gazing at Shye, silence ensued between the forr student and forr instructor.
It was only after a short while that Fienna was able to speak.
"I have to admit, you're incredibly strong. As frustrating as it was, I clearly lost. However, don't get complacent. Your combat techniques still need work. Don't rely too much on overwhelming your opponents with attributes, understand?"
"Y-Yes, Instructor Fienna!"
'Ah…crap! I forgot she wanted to stop calling her that!'
Contrary to his expectations, though, instead of another earful, his response elicited a sweet smile from his forr instructor.
"Good. Now, my stupid brother and I shall take our leave. If you need anything or have questions about combat techniques, don't hesitate to find at the Akuga Adventurer Guild headquarters."
