"Hey, that rookie is back."

"Hahaha! The one who beat the crap out of Darius with an elental staff?"

"Yeah, he and his party mber are turning their quest in right now.

"For real? They caught the darned bandits?"

"Yeah, you guys wanna check it out?"

"Yeah, let's go."

"L-Luna, how about you?"

Shye and Seira's arrival even caused a slight commotion in the special lounge, prompting the eralds to talk about the quest they took.

After all, even for so of the eralds, the Notorious Bandits quest proved to be a bit too difficult to handle solo, hence, most of them thought that the payout wouldn't be worth the risk and avoided the quest as though it was a plague.

Once thirty days passed from the day of posting and none of them still took on the quest, the guild will enforce a compulsory selection, requiring four adventurers to undertake the quest together, whether they like it or not.

Well, the quest itself wouldn't be a problem, however, as veterans, they knew that bandits were too damn slippery and the main challenge would lie in searching for their lair.

Moreover, finishing the quest solo would be a wee bit too hard, hence, they had to bring at least one comrade along.

The issue with this arrangent was that splitting the quest rewards among two or more people would result in such small shares that the quest wouldn't be worth pursuing.

Unfortunately, this was one of the brutal realities of the world.

Most adventurers only thought of whether the quest would be worth pursuing by weighing the difficulty/hassle to reward ratio.

Very few cared about the situation of the clients.

Even Shye was unknowingly falling into this mindset.

Well, everyone had their problems so it would take soone with a compassionate heart and a heroic spirit to go out of their way to complete quests for the sake of helping the clients instead of caring about the rewards.

Sadly, the world wouldn't treat one better just because one was kind.

Hence, everyone naturally developed an "every man for himself" ntality.

"Why would I waste my energy sneaking around and caring about soone else's achievents? I'd rather embark on a quest." Luna said with a cold and detached expression.

She didn't intend to respond rudely; it's just that she's a bit oblivious about such matters.

She often speaks her mind without considering whether she might offend soone, as she doesn't care about such things.

"I-I see…"

Receiving yet another cold reply, nobody dared talk to Luna anymore.

"Hello, Sir Crowley, Seira."

"Hello, Miss Shauna, we're here to turn our quest in. Here are the recording crystals serving as proof that we wiped the bandits out and saved 27 young girls who were held captive. Also…uhm…here are the bandit leaders…"

"..."

"..."

Shauna thought that Shye was cute and wanted to giggle at the fact that he brought the bandits to the branch headquarters.

However, she knew that Shye was a rookie and it would be inappropriate to laugh at him, resulting in a few seconds of awkward silence.

Successfully stifling her laughter, Shauna spoke:

"A few monts, Sir Crowley. I shall process your quest completion. Also, next ti, you may directly take the bandits to the city jail. All you need to present is another recording crystal as proof."

"I-I see…I didn't know. Thank you."

Smiling at Shye, Shauna continued to process Shye's quest completion rewards which would be more than doubled since they caught Conn-Thor alive and saved twenty-seven young girls.

After a short while, the rewards receptionist finally stopped typing and looked at the two of them with a smile.

"I'm done processing the quest completion rewards, Sir Crowley, Seira. Here are 40,000 silver coins, your adventurer licenses, and guild tokens. Also, I've added 2,405 guild contribution points to each of your accounts. Again, thank you for your contributions to the guild!" Shauna said as she offered a customary profound bow to Shye and Seira.

Just when she was about to process the rewards of the next adventurer in line, Seira suddenly spoke.

"U-Uhm…Shauna…Can you transfer 1,000 contribution points to Shye's account from mine? I didn't do much and he deserves the lion's share of the contribution points. 1,405 points is enough for …"

"Hmm? Oh, sure…I'd suggest giving prior notice next ti, before I process the quest rewards, as transferring points would cost you a hundred guild contribution points per transfer."

"Oh…I understand, please continue with the transfer." Seira decisively said, as obtaining just as many points as Shye didn't sit well with her.

Desperate as she might be, she had her own set of moral values that she abided by.

2,405 points was truly a bit too much for her conscience.

"Hey, Seira…"

Shye tried to stop her, however, she remained adamant about her decision.

"Boss, please accept this arrangent. I'm progressing quickly as it is, and if we keep taking on similar-level quests in the future, I fear that I'll rank up too quickly and beco an adventurer who is way too incompetent for my rank. Thirty percent of the rewards are already enough to help accomplish my goals on ti; you should have the remaining seventy percent."

"W-Well, if this arrangent is alright with you, then I shall take the seventy percent every ti."

"Thanks, boss!"

Hearing their sowhat touching conversation, Shauna couldn't help but smile warmly, processing the point transfer shortly after.

"All done, Seira, Sir Crowley. Any other requests?"

"Nope, all done! Thanks, Shauna!"

"No worries, Seira!"

After a short conversation, Shye and Seira left, proceeding toward the exit with smiles on their faces, planning to relax for the rest of the day before departing for another quest.

Only, Shye didn't expect Seira's subsequent words.

"Boss, I'm truly grateful for your support. Thanks to you, I'm on track to et my goals. I need to return to my village to visit my family, so I'll be away for about a month. But I'll be back in ti to see you dominate in the rookie representative selection tournant. Take care, boss. See you in a month!"
