From what he heard, there will be a rookie representative selection tournant around four months and three weeks from now.
He didn't know a single damn thing about it but he was sure that as long as he erged as the overall champion, everything would be fine.
To increase his chances of winning, he must prepare.
For now, Shye planned to focus on amassing system points through regular and daily quests and silver coins by selling loot and guild quest rewards.
Ranking up to platinum would surely co as a bonus as long as he focused on his short-term goals.
While patiently reading through nurous purple scrolls in the quest board under a mix of respectful and angry gazes from his guildmates, a certain quest easily captured his attention.

Details: A (B-) ranked Goblin Chieftain led a group of goblins and decided to set up a village just beyond the Vanderwald Advanced Adventurer Zone. This village is positioned close to three human towns, where the goblins abduct young won for reproductive purposes. Use a recording crystal to docunt the destroyed village and bring back the Goblin Chieftain's head.
Location: 2.5 Kiloters south of Vanderwald Advanced Adventurer Zone

Rewards: 10,000 silver coins and 1400 contribution points.

'Hmmm…A (B-) ranked quest with a recomnded party size of 6…' Shye pondered.
He wasn't sure if he should take the quest.
Although the rewards were excellent, the two of them could only receive it if they completed the quest.
Well, he was mainly worried about Seira's safety.
"Boss, let's choose that one!"
Upon hearing Seira's sudden exclamation, Shye instinctively turned his head towards her, noticing her pointing her index finger at a particular quest on the board.
His gaze inevitably shifted towards the quest she indicated, realizing that it was the sa quest he had been considering taking.
"Seira, you do realize that this quest might be too dangerous for you, right?"
"Yes, I also know that you're worrying about and that's why you're hesitating. However, please don't hold back, boss! I'll sohow survive!" Seira assured, her smile radiant and her fist pressed against her chest. "I have to sohow make it to the main headquarters within three years so I can't dally for too long. If I die attempting to achieve my goals, so be it."
Seeing the usually goofy Seira act all serious, Shye realized that her friendly disposition might be due to her trying to find ways to accomplish her goal.
And that's probably why she stopped making new friends and decided to stick with him no matter what happened.
Although she was weaker than him, as long as their shared goal of rapidly increasing their strength remained aligned, they could collaborate to find a solution together.
At least Seira wouldn't hold him back.
If she sohow loses her life…Well, Shye doesn't want to think about it.
Naturally, he would do his best to help her survive and grow stronger but that's about it. If she couldn't manage the quests Shye would undertake, that responsibility fell solely on her shoulders.
Nodding seriously at Seira, Shye stopped hesitating and grabbed the purple quest scroll, registering it under their nas.
Shortly after, the two of them left the branch headquarters to embark on another deadly quest.
"F*ck, this Shye Crowley is unstoppable, no?"
"Yeah, this guy hasn't lost a single duel or failed a single quest yet. Do you guys think he would dare ascend to the second-floor lobby before reaching erald rank?"
"If it's any other guy, I'd answer no. However, this Shye Crowley is truly too much of an anomaly."
"Agreed, I bet this guy would even dare fight the eralds."

After leaving the guild branch, Shye didn't realize that his reputation as an anomaly had grown, and many of his forr critics now had neutral opinions about him—a few even becoming his fans.
Well, he was the rookie who had been tested the most, engaging in duels and embarking on deadly quests one after the other.
To their surprise, he always erged victorious, compelling them to finally put so respect on his na.
As for the defeated rookie, Farhann Cupid, he was currently sitting alone at a table in the branch headquarters' vast lobby, wallowing in sorrow as the bitter fangs of defeat sunk into his heart, causing him to feel depressed.
There were a few people among the top ten rookies who witnessed his humiliating defeat.
The 4th-ranked Chiizai, the 8th-ranked Bordo, and the 3rd-ranked Damon—all of them didn't even hide the fact that they were laughing at him, making Farhann sink into the pits of despair—his arrogant disposition, gone.
This is the result when soone who believes they're exceptional suddenly faces the reality that they're rely a minor character in soone else's narrative.
The other rookies in the top 10 who witnessed the duel didn't have the chance to enjoy Farhann's misfortune though as the sudden realization that they would have to confront Shye in the upcoming rookie representative selection tournant left them feeling uneasy.
They had to make a few preparations themselves!

"O' great Seira, do you know anything about the rookie representative selection tournant? Can you please bless with words of enlightennt?"
"Hahahaha! You sure know how to get information out of now, boss! Don't worry, even if you stop acting like that, I will still tell you what you want to know. For I, Seira, know everything happening in the guild!"
