"Assistant Sterling, you’re here to see President Yeats to sign the contract?" Julian Hawthorne said, "Co over."

Clara let out a sigh of relief.

Turns out it was Julian Hawthorne who saw her and called her over to sign the contract.

Scared to death.

She thought...

No, no, how could that be possible.

Clara shook off the strange thought in her head, turned around with a smile on her face, and walked over, "President Hawthorne, President Yeats."

Sylvia Yeats visibly relaxed as well.

Just now, she was facing sideways and didn’t see Clara Sterling coming.

Julian Hawthorne’s call of "Assistant Sterling" made her heart tremble, imdiately recalling the concerned look Julian had yesterday noon when he patted Clara Sterling’s back.

She thought maybe Julian Hawthorne liked Clara Sterling.

"President Yeats, here’s the contract for you to look over." Clara Sterling handed the contract to Sylvia Yeats.

After reviewing it, Sylvia signed it promptly, "There’s no problem with the contract."

"Thank you, President Yeats." Clara took back the contract.

Sylvia Yeats asked, "President Hawthorne, do you have ti for lunch together?"

Clara sensibly stepped away.

Julian Hawthorne’s gaze followed Clara Sterling’s back for a while, then he discreetly withdrew his eyes, his pitch-black pupils extrely indifferent, "No ti."

The whole morning, Clara was busy on her own, while Anabelle was avoiding Aaron Spencer, hiding sowhere unknown.

After completing her tasks, Clara sat down in the break area to rest.

Walking the whole morning, her feet were sore from the walk.

Finally, she could rest for a while.

Clara opened a bottle of mineral water and took a few sips.

Soone ca up to start a conversation.

"Miss, you look so young, are you an intern at so company?"

The man, in his forties, wore a suit, had a beer belly, a short and stout build, looking very greasy.

The people who could co here today were either experts or company presidents.

This man clearly didn’t look like an expert, reeking of the sll of money, he was probably a company president.

Clara didn’t want to offend anyone, so she could only smile politely and respond, "Yes."

"Which company is so ignorant of cherishing talent?" The man sat down next to her, laughing lecherously.

"I just saw you bustling around, such a beautiful lady being given such tiring work, why don’t you switch to my company and be my secretary, thirty thousand a month, you don’t have to do anything tiring, just accompany will do."

Calling it a secretary, but everyone knows it isn’t about hiring a secretary, more like soone’s mistress.

The thirty thousand salary was just the cost of keeping her.

Clara cursed a dirty word in her heart, but still kept a smiling expression, "Sorry, I don’t plan on switching jobs."

After speaking, she stood up to leave.

The man reached out to grab her, "Don’t go, young lady, we can talk about the price, fifty thousand should be fine, right?"

Clara dodged the man’s hand and imdiately walked away.

The man, unwilling to let go, chased after her, reaching out to grab her, and was about to touch Clara Sterling.

Suddenly, Clara Sterling was pulled into a broad and firm embrace by a strong force.

The familiar woody fragrance enveloped her.

Clara’s tense heart relaxed, she looked up and t Silas Sheffield’s cold and deep eyes.

"Are you okay?" The man’s eyes montarily flickered with concern and affection.

Just a mont of not paying attention to his wife, and soone ca to harass her.

Clara gently shook her head, "I’m fine."

Silas released Clara.

Clara lowered her eyes and pursed her lips, standing behind Silas.

"President Sheffield, do you know this young lady?" The older man who had just tried to hit on her asked with an awkward smile.

Silas t the man’s gaze, his eyes suddenly darkened with intense gloom.

The man was terrified just by his look.

If looks could kill, he would have been cut to pieces by now.

The man’s heart was in his throat, "Misunderstanding, it’s all a misunderstanding, I didn’t know this young lady was with you..."

Silas’s sharp black eyes were deep and dark, with a hint of nace, the chilling aura around him palpable.

"Now you know."

"I’m sorry, I’m, I’m leaving imdiately." The man, frightened, scrambled away in panic.

In the distance, Isaac Sutton took note of everything that happened.

He had already seen Clara Sterling, but he held back, restraining himself from going over to greet her.

Because he saw Silas Sheffield in the venue.

Currently, Sutton Group was still not at par with Sheffield.

Silas Sheffield had given him a warning, and the consequences of provoking Silas were sothing he and the entire Sutton Group couldn’t bear at present.

This ti in Ardendale, he had connected with several top dostic experts and renowned entrepreneurs. Yesterday, he had dinner with mbers of the Montague Family, and today at the venue, he established a collaboration with the head of the Spencer Family, Aaron Spencer.

This trip to Ardendale had been particularly fruitful.

Isaac Sutton silently vowed in his heart that he would make Sutton Group surpass Sheffield.

One day, he would have the qualifications to confront Silas Sheffield.

One day, he would win Clara back!

...

A private room in a high-end restaurant.

Clara and Silas Sheffield sat alone inside, Silas wearing a faint smile, "The water-boiled at slices in this restaurant are quite good."

"..." Clara pursed her lips.

Apparently, this water-boiled at slice dish was inevitable?

Clara grinned, "Alright, then I’ll eat more later."

At this mont, Silas’s phone rang with a call.

It was Zachary Lynch.

Silas answered the call.

Zachary respectfully reported, "President Sheffield, it’s clear now, the man harassing Clara is nad Jas Sutton, a local from Ardendale, and he owns two tech companies."

Silas coldly instructed, "No need for to spell out what to do."

Zachary wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, swallowing hard, "Understood."

After hanging up, Zachary felt on the brink of tears.

Heavens, there was a lot of work ahead.

What to do? Naturally, make Jas Sutton’s companies go bankrupt, ensuring he never rises in the industry again.

Elsewhere.

Julian Hawthorne searched around the convention center but couldn’t find Clara Sterling and Anabelle.

He turned to ask a team leader beside him, "Where are Assistant Sterling and Assistant Spencer?"

The team leader replied, "I just saw Assistant Sterling busy, how did she disappear in a blink, Assistant Spencer I haven’t seen all morning."

Julian didn’t say much, he took out his phone and called Clara Sterling.

Here, Clara looked at the incoming call and said, "I’ll take this call."

Silas glanced at the phone screen, seeing "Julian Hawthorne" lit up, his eyes turned cold, "Answer it."

Clara answered, "Hello, President Hawthorne."

Julian spoke warmly, "Where are you? Join for lunch."

"President Hawthorne, I left after finishing work, you all go ahead, I’m already eating."

Julian asked, "Are you with Assistant Spencer?"

Just as he finished speaking, Julian saw Anabelle Spencer walking towards him.

She was alone, without Clara Sterling nearby.

Julian couldn’t help but frown.

Clara replied, "No."

Julian didn’t ask further, just said "Alright" and hung up the call.

Anabelle approached, greeting Julian Hawthorne, "President Hawthorne, the task is complete, the signed contract is with Clara."

"You weren’t together?" Julian asked.

"No, I..." Anabelle hesitated, "I suddenly had a stomachache and went to the restroom, when I ca out Clara was gone."

Julian Hawthorne still didn’t know she belonged to the Spencer Family, his arranged marriage partner, she couldn’t exactly say she had been avoiding Aaron Spencer and stayed out of the convention center all morning?

Julian further asked, "Didn’t she tell you when she left?"

Anabelle shook her head, "No."

Julian scanned the hall and suddenly asked, "When did President Sheffield leave?"
