Yan i's mouth twisted when she saw Su Bei stealing glances at her while nibbling on her bottom lip. She had noticed her friend's weirdness the mont she entered her office. A gleam passed through Yan i's eyes.
"Okay, spill it. What do you want to know?" Yan i queried.
Su Bei drew in a long breath before looking up from the docunts she was arranging on Yan i's table.
"That-"Su Bei trailed off, looking at Yan i.
"The man who ca here this morning-"
"Leng Shao?" Yan i interrupted her.
Su Bei nodded. "Yes."
Yan i's right eyebrows shot up.
"What about him?" Yan i asked as she drumd her fingers on the table, waiting for Su Bei to speak.
"Were you guys in a relationship? Like were you guys romantically involved?"
Su Bei asked as she gazed at the floor.
"Uh-hm," Yan i replied with her voice thick with amusent. She was clearly enjoying Su Bei's gawkiness.
Su Bei's shoulders hunched when she heard Yan i.
"Oh," she said with disappointnt evident in her voice. Even though she liked Leng Shao, there is no way she would fantasize or have a crush on her best friend's ex or the guy she was romantically involved with. That's breaking the girl's code.
"You like him." Yan i said with certainty.
A flush crept on Su Bei's face as embarrassnt racked her.
"No, I don't!"
Yan i chuckled, "Yeah, and tomatoes are black. I believe you." She said sarcastically.
"I really don't." Su Bei quickly retorted.
Yan i shook her head.
"It's okay if you like him. Leng Shao is a heartthrob that most won swoon over with that signature smile and dimples of his. If you are ready to fight with crazy fangirls, I'm ready to give you my blessings."
Su Bei quickly looked up and t Yan i's eyes flickering with amusent.
"You-you don't care that I have a crush on the guy you were romantically involved with?"
Seeing the horrid look on Su Bei's face, Yan i leaned back in her chair and burst into laughter.
"Pftt...romantically involved?" Yan i tried to control her laughter.
Su Bei scrunched her face in confusion.
Yan i could clearly see the confusion in Su Bei's eyes, her words, and her attitude. Yan i could have enjoyed riling her up but thought against it and just smiled crookedly.
"It would be fatal to get romantically involved with Leng Shao since I was already dating his best friend when I t him. The first day I t him at the bus station one rainy day as he put an umbrella on my head and smiled softly at . I knew I have earned myself an elder brother in the form of a potential friend."
Yan i explained with a look of nostalgia on her face.
"You know we beca really good friends without knowing we both know one person in common. I still rember the look on his face when he found out I was dating his best friend."
A smile crept its way onto Su Bei's face.
Yan i rolled her eyes, "Now stop acting like a teenager having her first crush and hurry. We will be late for the eting."
"Oh right," Su Bei hurriedly picked up the docunt needed for the eting.
Her movent paused when a certain man with a dimple flashed through her eyes.
'I didn't get to see him when he was leaving.' Su Bei's mood dampened. She doesn't know when she will see him again.

The mont Leng Shao got into the car, he took a deep breath to calm down his emotions. The information he had just obtained was too much for him to process. Clenching his fist, breathing heavy with an onslaught of emotions. Leng Shao sat in his car, immobilized for a long ti.

Leng Shao's train of thoughts was interrupted by the sound of a ringing tone. He groaned as he picked up his phone. His furrowed brows softened when he saw the person calling him.
"Mom." He called out softly.
"Leng Shao!" Mrs. Leng excited voice reverberated in Leng Shao's ears.
"How are you?"
"I'm good, Mom. What about you?"
"I'm good. When will you co back ho? I missed you. Co ho, please!" She rambled.
Leng Shao smiled, "I don't know, mom. Especially now that I have t Feng i."
Mrs. Leng stiffened on the other side of the phone. 'Did he just say he t Feng i?'
"What did you say?!"
Leng Shao knew how much his mother loved Feng i as her own daughter. He had seen how devastated his mother has been when Feng i had disappeared. She had used every resource she had to aid in his search for her.
"Yes, Mom. Feng i is really alive."
"Oh my God! Where is she? How is she? Is she okay?"
Mrs. Leng asked excitedly.
"Mom, don't worry. She is okay." Leng Shao coaxed his mother.
"Where is she? I want to see her."
"Okay, mom. I will arrange for you to co to City S."
"Alright!" Mrs. Leng couldn't wait to see Yan i and hold her in her arms to confirm she is really alive.
"See you soon, Mom."
"Okay."
Once Leng Shao ended the call, he tapped on the steering wheel while he fell into deep thought.
He has to hurry up and find the person responsible for causing harm to the woman he loves. He wouldn't rest until he has found the person, and once he does, he would make the person suffer a fate worse than death. A light flashed through his eyes as he started his car.
