Ye Yuning’s tongue was truly as sharp as a knife! He had always seen her gentlest side, but now her relentless, cutting words left Xiao Linye montarily unable to cope.
His breathing grew heavy. He took a deep breath and said, "Your brother asked to look after you, so I have the right. Regardless of our relationship, I still have that right. Do you understand now?"

Because of her brother, huh? Fine. That makes things even simpler.

He would always say, ’I’m here,’ or ’I’ll handle it!’ But now? What did any of this between them even an anymore?
"Qi Mulan’s mother also called tonight."
"Isn’t that her stepmother?"
"She introduced herself as Qi Mulan’s mother. They’re certainly presenting a united front!" Ye Yuning said.
"So, what did she say?"
"Her words were nothing but accusations, blaming for ruining the ’relationship’ between Qi Mulan and Xiao Linye."
"Do they have any sha at all? Who was Qi Mulan when you and Xiao Linye got married?" Tang Xi flared up instantly. Although her own situation with Jiang Bo had been a hysterical ss, she had never encountered such a shaless howrecker. What was Ye Yuning supposed to do in this situation? It felt like every infuriating thing imaginable was happening to Ye Yuning, and it was maddening.
Ye Yuning closed her eyes. "I’m definitely going to fight back."
"You absolutely have to."
This was simply outrageous! It was bad enough that the mistress was so arrogant, but her mother too? What kind of nonsense was this? Just the thought of it made Tang Xi furious.
Ye Yuning said, "I’ll call Andai."
"Let call her. You get so rest."
Tonight, she had been provoked by the Xiao Family, and then by the Qi Family. If Ye Yuning were to call Xia Andai herself, Xia Andai, with her sharp tongue, might end up upsetting her even more. What Tang Xi didn’t know was that Ling Yan had already provoked Ye Yuning earlier.
"Alright, you make the call then."
Ye Yuning was genuinely exhausted. Utterly drained.
Tang Xi understood the entire situation perfectly, so Ye Yuning felt reassured leaving it in her hands. Tang Xi, of course, knew how to handle things from here.
After hanging up with Tang Xi, Ye Yuning went straight to bed.
While many people’s worlds had been turned upside down, leaving them unable to sleep, Ye Yuning had no intention of losing sleep over it. One of her strengths was her ability to sleep well, no matter the circumstances.
She fell sound asleep shortly after getting into bed.
When Xiao Linye returned to the room, she was deeply asleep, a tiny bubble forming at her nose with each breath, looking so endearing it was heartwarming.
