At the Xiao Corporation, Lai Shuo checked the ti and, after a mont of thought, said to Xiao Linye, "Boss Ye’s flight is at 11:00 AM."
"What about it?"
"I’m thinking of intercepting her directly!" Lai Shuo said, his tone tinged with dissatisfaction.
Xiao Linye had said to wait three days, but their Nanjia Peak project needed to be confird as soon as possible.
So he wanted to talk to Boss Ye again! Cooperating with won is so troubleso—they’re full of tricks!
Xiao Linye frowned, a profound look flashing in his eyes.
Seeing Xiao Linye didn’t respond, Lai Shuo continued, "I’ll try to secure it one more ti. What do you think?"
People on business trips usually don’t return to the company; they take a break directly. Therefore, if he couldn’t see her today, he might not even be able to et her in person tomorrow.
Xiao Linye gave him a glance and nodded.
No doubt, Xiao Linye still wanted to give Manlang one last chance.
Xiao Linye glanced at his wristwatch. Ye Yuning was also arriving at 11:00 AM. He couldn’t help but tell Lai Shuo, "If you see at the airport, pretend you don’t know ."

Lai Shuo asked, "Should we go to the airport together then? It’s still early."
Xiao Linye replied, "No need!"
Lai Shuo was speechless. He wouldn’t even go to the airport with him. What exactly was he trying to avoid?
At that mont, Lai Shuo also recalled that, aside from seeing the marriage certificate, he had never actually t Xiao Linye’s wife.
When they reached the underground garage, he saw Xiao Linye get into a Passat parked next to the Silver Angel.
Seeing him choose that car baffled Lai Shuo even more. This entire level of the parking garage was filled with Xiao Corporation vehicles; several of his own luxury cars were parked here. He had several smaller, more convenient cars he could drive, yet he insisted on this company car!
Lai Shuo genuinely couldn’t comprehend his boss’s sudden change in preference. Could it have sothing to do with his wife?
Thinking of his wife, he rembered that ever since Xiao Linye had gotten the marriage certificate with this wife he’d never t, he had been driving this car for personal use.
Could it be that he was even keeping his identity a secret from her now?
At this thought, Lai Shuo, who was getting into his own car, couldn’t help but click his tongue. What’s the point of marrying soone rich? Always having to be on guard against everything—it’s no fun at all!
Checking the ti and realizing it was still early, he first went to take care of so errands before heading straight for the airport.
Halfway there, he kept trying to call Chen Wei, but her phone was off. She’s probably still on the plane!
Upon arriving at the airport and finding a parking spot, he called Chen Wei again, and this ti it connected.
After only two rings, Chen Wei’s voice ca through, "Hello, Assistant Lai."
"Assistant Chen, I’m at the airport. Is Boss Ye with you?"
"Oh? Our boss? She just went off on her own a mont ago," Chen Wei said.
Lai Shuo’s heart skipped a beat. "Went off, on her own?"
"Yes, she left right when I went to get my luggage."
"How long ago did she leave?"
"Less than three minutes!"
Hearing she had just left, Lai Shuo imdiately got out of his car and sprinted towards the arrivals hall.
Since he had told Xiao Linye he would try to secure the deal again, it would look really bad if he didn’t even manage to see her.
Lai Shuo ran in haste.
Upon reaching the arrivals hall, he glimpsed Xiao Linye’s figure and instinctively started to approach him.
But rembering Xiao Linye’s instructions, he quickly stopped.
Realizing Xiao Linye was there to pick up his wife, a gleam of gossipy excitent lit up Lai Shuo’s eyes.
How could marriage change a person so much? If Old Master Xiao found out, he’d surely laugh so hard his eyes would disappear!
Noticing the intense curiosity in Lai Shuo’s eyes, Xiao Linye shot him a cold glance.
That glance thoroughly unnerved Lai Shuo, and he quickly did as instructed, pretending not to recognize Xiao Linye and starting to walk away.
But he was already scheming to find a hiding spot to see just what kind of extraordinary person this wife was, the one who had made Xiao Linye willingly tie the knot.
What kind of woman could possibly make *him* give in? Just what did she look like?
Unfortunately, he was also there on official business today and really couldn’t afford to waste ti on this.
He rembered Chen Wei saying they had separated while she was collecting the luggage.
That ant Boss Ye probably hadn’t waited for her luggage. So, had she already left the arrivals area, or was she still sowhere inside?
With this in mind, he quickly pulled out his phone and called Chen Wei again to ask if their studio had arranged a pick-up.
Chen Wei said their studio hadn’t arranged a car, and Boss Ye was most likely taking the subway back to the city.
Lai Shuo was shocked. "Your boss takes the subway?"
"Is there a problem with that?" Chen Wei asked back, puzzled, over the phone.
Lai Shuo pursed his lips. "No problem there. So, I should be able to catch Boss Ye at the exit then, right?"
