After breakfast, Ye Yuning and Chen Wei left the house.
In the car, Ye Yuning turned to Chen Wei and asked, "Have the plane tickets been booked?"
"Yes," Chen Wei nodded.
Ye Yuning said, "Cancel mine."
"Ah? Cancel... cancel it?" Chen Wei looked at Ye Yuning, puzzled.
Ye Yuning stated, "I’m flying to Upper City tonight. You don’t need to worry about my ticket."
Hearing this, Chen Wei roughly understood that Ye Yuning planned to go back with her husband.
She nodded. "Then I’ll cancel it right away. Your schedule today might be rather tight."
"It’s fine. Move tomorrow morning’s appointnt to the afternoon."
"Okay."
Chen Wei nodded.
Indeed, a woman with a husband is different.
When Ye Yuning didn’t have a husband, Chen Wei could never have imagined her behaving this way towards a man.
After all, with her short temper and impatient nature, she was completely unsuited for dostic life.
But who would have thought? Now that she had a husband, she could act quite the little woman.
BUZZ. BUZZ. BUZZ. The phone vibrated.
It was Ye Yuning’s!
She took it out and saw it was a number from Hong City.
Imdiately, Ye Yuning’s face darkened!
When Chen Wei saw the Hong City number on the screen, she was startled too. "Why is soone from Hong City still calling you? That place is so far away; a business trip there would cost a fortune!"
Although the studio had expanded, Chen Wei felt there was no need for dealings with Hong City.
It was too far and too troubleso to manage!
Ye Yuning’s face grew grim. "This is not a call about cooperation."
"Then what is it about?"
Hearing it wasn’t a call about cooperation, Chen Wei jumped in fright. Could it be soone looking for trouble again?
That would be so incredibly annoying!
Ye Yuning didn’t answer. She simply pressed the answer button and held the phone to her ear without saying a word.
The person on the other end of the call was also silent!
Chen Wei, sitting beside Ye Yuning, felt an intense, oppressive atmosphere emanating not only from Ye Yuning but also from the other end of the phone.
No way? It really is soone looking for trouble...
About two minutes passed, and a woman’s low chuckle ca from the other side. "I’ve co to Upper City. Didn’t you know?"
It was Ling Yan’s voice!
Just by looking at the number, Ye Yuning knew it was that wretched woman, Ling Yan.
Before she could speak, Ling Yan continued from the other end, "It’s been several days, and you haven’t co to see . Are you scared?"
"Scared of you? Why should I see you? Who are you to ?" Ye Yuning retorted irritably.
This damn woman! Causing trouble for the mont she arrives in Upper City. And then there’s Ye Tong.
How much trouble has Ye Tong brought since returning to the Ye Family?
Hearing her exasperated tone, Ling Yan’s laughter beca even more cheerful. "I’m no one to you, so why are you getting so worked up?"
Ye Yuning snapped, "Who’s worked up? As if I’d get worked up over an idiot like you!"
How could she not be worked up? An idiot, repeatedly managing to snatch away her rankings.
Initially, Ye Yuning wasn’t so resentful of the wealthy. But ever since Ling Yan appeared in her world, her values in this regard had completely changed.
Now, she despised those who relied on connections and backdoor dealings the most...
Ling Yan, on the other end of the line, heard Ye Yuning call her an idiot but wasn’t annoyed in the slightest. Instead, she said, "Getting so worked up by an idiot... that just shows how little composure you have."
Ye Yuning: "..."

So she actually enjoys being called an idiot, even seems to revel in it? "Fine! You’re the idiot, so you’re always right!"
Chen Wei: "..."
Though she had seen her boss angry countless tis over the years, this was the first ti she’d seen her this furious.
Yet, even after being cursed out so viciously, the other party didn’t seem the least bit angry.
She was still cheerful and teasing on the phone. "When are you coming to see ? Let’s have dinner tonight. What do you want to eat?"
"Are we that close? What is there for to eat with you!"
Listening to Ling Yan’s cheerful teasing, Ye Yuning was so furious she wanted to curse.
This wretched woman...
Every ti she snatched sothing from in the past, she had that sa infuriatingly cheerful look.
If she were like Ye Tong, even without any real ability, I would still think a bit more highly of her.
At least Ye Tong is a proper ’white lotus’!
But Ling Yan, with that serene, Buddha-like smile, would just stab you in the back...
Seeing her so enraged, Ling Yan on the other end chuckled, clicking her tongue. "Are you sure you don’t want to have dinner with ? In that case, shall I co find you at Shanyu Pavilion?"
Ye Yuning: "..."
Shanyu Pavilion! She even knows about this?
Ye Yuning, already furious, felt like she was about to explode when she heard Ling Yan ntion ’Shanyu Pavilion’.
"You investigated ? Ling Yan, you bitch! What the hell do you really want?!"
Chen Wei: "..."
She’s so incredibly angry! I wonder what regional dialect that curse even cos from.
Ling Yan exclaid lightly, "Aiya! What could I possibly want? I just want to have dinner with you!"
"I’m not eating! I’ve developed anorexia, alright?!"
She claims she doesn’t want anything, yet she even found out where I’m currently living?!
Ling Yan mused, "Anorexia, hmm? In that case, how about I take you to see a doctor?"
She even wants to take to a doctor? This woman...!
Ye Yuning was seething. "We are not close! Can’t you understand plain language?"
"We spent several years together at university. You say we’re not close? Who would believe that?"
Ye Yuning shot back, "Was that ’together’? Don’t you have any clue how we actually got along? Don’t force to say sothing too unpleasant!"
"Oh? So you do realize the words coming out of your mouth aren’t pleasant? Look at you. How many people have you offended over the years? At the slightest sign of trouble, the entirety of Upper City abandoned you!"
Ye Yuning: "..."
Just who is it that’s speaking unpleasantly now? This woman is truly infuriating!
