Tang Xi could tell from Ye Yuning’s tone that she was still upset from yesterday. After all, her life was tough enough as it was. And now Qin Jinchuan was suddenly causing trouble!
"Okay, I’ll make a reservation. Can you leave work on ti for lunch? I’ve heard that the overti at Xiao’s is pretty insane."

She shot them a cold look without a word, then turned and walked towards the elevator.

They waited until she was in the elevator.
Liu Ying clicked her tongue twice. "As expected of a designer. They really do have quite a temper."
Li Xin snorted. "If she doesn’t do well on the Nanjia Peak project, she’ll be the one to suffer."
Liu Ying nodded. "Exactly!" If the Nanjia Peak project doesn’t go well, she’ll beco the next Ye Tong. Then she can just clock in and out on ti and go slack off sowhere else!
Ye Yuning arrived at the restaurant Tang Xi had booked, still fuming.
Seeing her like this, Tang Xi imdiately handed her a glass of water. "Who upset you? You look so angry?"
"My luck has been absolutely rotten lately!"
Tang Xi was speechless for a mont. Considering her current luck, it really did seem terrible.
Ye Yuning also felt that ever since Ye Tong returned, nothing had been going right for her.

"Who dares to give you a hard ti? Didn’t you say Xiao Linye got you into the company?"
"He’s just a manager in the business departnt. Seventh Master Xiao is a monster; there’s nothing I can do about it."
Hearing this, Tang Xi almost burst out laughing. How many tis had Ye Yuning cursed this Seventh Master Xiao? Countless. In short, every ti they t, she would complain about him.
Tang Xi drew a sharp breath. "What on earth does this Seventh Master Xiao look like? Soone that perverse must be pretty ugly, right?"
"I don’t know. I’ve never seen him."
Tang Xi was shocked. "You’ve never seen him, and he’s got you this worked up? He must really be sothing else." After all, Seventh Master Xiao had been back in charge of Xiao’s for so ti now, yet Ye Yuning had never even t the man.
Ye Yuning retorted, "What’s there to see about soone like that?!"
"He’s your partner on the project, after all. I’m just curious," Tang Xi said.
"Enough about him. There’s nothing to be curious about." Ye Yuning had zero curiosity about Seventh Master Xiao. With his talent for infuriating people, one should avoid him at all costs! Who would want to run into him head-on?
Tang Xi nodded with a smile and didn’t bring up Seventh Master Xiao again.
Instead, she changed the subject. "Is Qin Jinchuan starting to retaliate against you?"
ntioning Qin Jinchuan was, for Ye Yuning, another deeply unpleasant topic.
She just nodded with an "MM," obviously too upset to even summon the energy to talk about him.
"He also acquired the Blue Island project, the one the designers from our studio are currently working on."
Tang Xi was shocked. "He’s going to such lengths to get back at you? Spending so much? Just because you refused to marry him that ti?"
