Tang Xi sensed a chill in Ye Yuning’s tone. Tentatively, she asked, "The Qin Family’s eldest young master, he isn’t looking to take revenge on you, is he?"
"He’s already started his retaliation."
"What? He actually...? No, but this has nothing to do with you, right?!" Tang Xi exclaid.
Tang Xi had heard about it now. The Qin Family’s eldest young master had been quite busy today. He had taken over the Qin Corporation three days ago, but the news only broke today. But during these three days, everything had been eerily quiet, with very few people aware of the situation.

"Did he really make a move against you?" Tang Xi asked.

"He extorted 100,000 from you? What does that an?" Tang Xi asked, thoroughly confused. There was quite a lot to process. Ye Yuning was about to say sothing more when Xiao Linye’s car arrived. "Alright," she said into the phone, "I won’t talk now. We’ll discuss it over lunch tomorrow."
"Okay," Tang Xi replied. She really wanted to know what exactly was going on.
Ye Yuning hung up. She stood up and walked straight toward Xiao Linye’s car.
Xiao Linye, however, got out of the car. He strode over to her on his long legs and looked her up and down.
Seeing the tense look in his eyes, Ye Yuning was taken aback. "Why are you looking at like that?" she asked.
"Are you hurt?" Xiao Linye asked.
"What?" Ye Yuning replied.
"Wasn’t there a car accident?" he pressed.
Ye Yuning was bewildered. "...?" A car accident? Who told him that? Could it be that he got wind of the run-in with Qin Jinchuan? Rumors really did have a magical power to transform!
"No, I wasn’t in a car accident," she finally said.
"You weren’t?"
"It was I who scratched soone else’s car," Ye Yuning said quietly.
And, if the rumor had reached Xiao Linye’s ears, had it also ntioned that she had been cursing at soone? At the ti, she was too focused on being angry! It never crossed her mind that Xiao Linye might find out about this.
"You scratched it with your bike?" Xiao Linye asked.
Hearing him ask this, Ye Yuning figured he probably hadn’t heard too much. She instantly breathed a sigh of relief.
"No, it was a mineral water bottle," she replied.
On this matter, she didn’t dare deceive Xiao Linye too much. This man was rather domineering. If she said she scratched it with her bike, he might forbid her from riding one ever again!
"A bottle?" Xiao Linye repeated, arching an eyebrow.
"Yes... yes," Ye Yuning admitted, her voice growing quieter. "I kicked it, and it hit soone’s car."
When Xiao Linye heard that she had kicked a bottle and scratched soone’s car, his expression visibly stiffened for a mont. He looked at Ye Yuning in disbelief!
Ye Yuning felt uneasy under his gaze. "Um, I was just angry at the ti. I didn’t do it on purpose," she explained. She tried to explain as much as possible. This way, it wouldn’t be too surprising for Xiao Linye when he heard more details from others tomorrow.
Xiao Linye, however, just smiled and pinched her small nose. "Naughty."
To think she had kicked a bottle and hit soone’s car. But regardless, as long as she wasn’t in a car accident, that was good.
"But don’t do it again next ti, understand?" he cautioned. Such mischievous behavior was simply asking for trouble and could easily lead to serious issues. At that point, she probably wouldn’t be able to handle it on her own.
Ye Yuning nodded. "Yes. Let’s go, I’m starving."
"Alright. Just octopus balls?" he asked.
"There’s more. Let’s go; you’ll see when we get there," she said enthusiastically.
Ye Yuning wanted to go to the snack street in Upper City’s Old Town. The street was full of eateries, and she visited almost every month. Whatever her troubles, as long as she was on a street full of delicious food, everything would vanish into thin air.
The aroma of food filled the street, constantly enticing one’s taste buds.
Ye Yuning turned to Xiao Linye. "Have you been here before?"
"...I have!" Xiao Linye replied, a little too quickly.
