When Chen Wei brought lunch in, she found Ye Yuning looking utterly dejected.

"I want to take leave!"

"Do you have sothing important to do?"
"Very important!" Ye Yuning affird with a nod.
Chen Wei gasped sharply. Very important, huh? So that ans she absolutely has to take leave? she wondered.
"How many days do you need?"
"Three days!" Ye Yuning stated.
Hearing this, Chen Wei’s head felt even number. "That’s not going to work, is it?" I thought it would just be for one day; three days is definitely out of the question. Just thinking about Lai Shuo’s attitude gives a headache, she fretted internally.
After so thought, Chen Wei said, "Never mind Qiyie; Assistant Lai alone is more than enough for us to handle." It wasn’t that they were afraid of anyone, but being constantly hounded was certainly unpleasant. Chen Wei still believed there was no way Ye Yuning could get leave approved at this ti.
But Ye Yuning didn’t want to worry about all that. "I’m taking leave," she declared.

As Ye Yuning thought this through, she made her decision. "It’s settled then."
"Boss!" Chen Wei sounded like she was about to cry. Xiao Corporation already distrusted them as it was. If they discovered the boss wasn’t even working here, who knew what kind of trouble that would stir up? And Ye Yuning asking her to cover clearly showed that Ye Yuning herself was aware of Xiao Corporation’s tendency to nitpick. Chen Wei’s heart was truly tornted with worry. She looked at Ye Yuning beseechingly, silently pleading with her not to take leave.
"Be good," Ye Yuning said gently. "I believe you can do it."
"I can’t! I can’t do it!" Chen Wei protested. Dealing with Lai Shuo was exhausting enough even when Ye Yuning was around; she couldn’t imagine coping if Ye Yuning was gone for three whole days. I don’t even dare to imagine what kind of trouble Lai Shuo will cause, Chen Wei thought despairingly.
"You can!" Ye Yuning insisted.
Chen Wei fell silent. Can I try to argue a little more? she wondered.
Clearly, once Ye Yuning made a decision, it was almost impossible to change her mind. Now that Ye Yuning was adamant about taking leave, Chen Wei couldn’t stop her and eventually had to nod in reluctant agreent.

And so, after Xiao Corporation had repeatedly called and urged Ye Yuning to co in, she only stayed for half a day. By the next day, she had already planned not to show up.

Ye Yuning looked at him. "Don’t casually look at my computer in the future."
"What do you an by that, Boss Ye?" Lai Shuo asked, clearly displeased. We brought her to Xiao Corporation to ensure quality and speed, and now she won’t even let look? Is that reasonable? he thought, annoyed.
Ye Yuning countered, "Any design that hasn’t been publicly released can potentially be leaked if soone views it. Does Xiao Corporation want another incident like that to happen?"
Lai Shuo was speechless. Is she simultaneously taking a jab at herself and alluding to Xiao Corporation’s previous embarrassing fiasco? he wondered.
