Ye Yuning set down the wine bottle and took a sip of the juice in front of her. From the corner of her eye, she kept cautiously trying to gauge the man’s expression.
Sensing her intense gaze, Xiao Linye looked up at her. "What are you looking at?" His gaze was deep, making it impossible to discern any of his underlying emotions. This left Ye Yuning feeling sowhat disappointed. She pouted and said, "Just wondering if you’re still angry."
Xiao Linye’s hand holding the wine glass paused. He raised an eyebrow. "You can tell when I’m angry?"
He had thought this young woman to be so carefree as to be unobservant; he hadn’t expected her to be so perceptive.
Hearing this, Ye Yuning beca indignant. "I’m not an idiot!" His emotional fluctuations that morning had been so obvious; she’d have to be a complete fool not to have noticed.
Seeing her pouting expression, the tenderness in Xiao Linye’s eyes deepened. "I’m sorry."
