After a long while, the person pressed beneath finally ca back to their senses.

Nora Northwood pulled her hands out from the silk quilt, her slender wrists hooking around the man’s neck.

Then, she tilted her chin up, covering that thin softness.

After a mont, she whispered into Jasper Sinclair’s ear, "Jasper, did you miss ?"

Jasper’s breath beca erratic; how could he not miss her? He thought about her every mont.

"I did, I think about you every day, even when you are beside , I still miss you."

His hot breath, along with his words, sprayed into Nora’s neck, causing a tingling sensation.

"Jasper, I missed you so much too."

Nora’s lips were sealed again, unable to utter another syllable, and with that, the situation spiraled beyond control, plunging into a sweet entanglent.

By the moonlight’s glow, the curtain reflected the intertwined silhouettes of a man and a woman.

Soon, Nora’s thoughts were swept away.

...

At the last mont, Jasper pushed Nora aside, his expression showing deep restraint.

"I’m going to take a cold shower."

In such a special ti, he dared not take any risks with Nora’s body.

Afterward, Jasper expressed strong agreent with what Uncle Kevin often said: "Fights at the head of the bed, make up at the foot of the bed."

The intimate atmosphere in the room gradually dissipated, and Nora didn’t bring up the reason for their cold war.

She could guess it might be related to her.

When Jasper lay back down beside her, she said, sowhat aimlessly, "I want to go to Paris."

These past few days, Nora imagined countless possibilities.

If Professor Bishop hadn’t found the antidote, she might not have lived to see her hair turn white.

Before that ti, she wanted to do sothing more aningful.

She wanted to bring VK’s ideas to the city of art.

Jasper asked no questions, simply agreeing, "Alright."

The private jet and the entire crew were prepared overnight.

Before Nora could fully organize her plans for the trip to Paris, they were already ascending into the sky at three thousand ters.

Jasper sat diagonally across from her, responding to a few company ssages.

A spontaneous trip, with nurous business affairs hidden behind it.

Only after setting work in order could Jasper fully imrse himself in Paris.

Nora, tired of looking at her phone, turned her gaze to the man diagonally across her.

It’s often said that people are most charming when they are serious about their work, and now was such a mont.

Jasper wore a perfectly tailored suit, like a model stepped out of a magazine cover.

Nora scrutinized the earnestness in his eyes, through his pupils, seeing the tiny bright sparks like stars.

After looking for a while, she was noticed by the person in question.

Jasper lifted his eyes, his gaze shifting from the computer screen to Nora’s face, "Am I good-looking?"

Nora’s lips curved, and she replied, "Good-looking."

She had gazed upon that face for thousands of days and nights and still often found herself not having enough.

Jasper’s facial lines seed flawless.

Nora always felt regretful for not having seen what his parents looked like.

Soon, this bit of regret was pulled back to reality, as Jasper beckoned with a hooked finger, "Co sit."

Nora lifted herself up and sat down beside him.

"The plane will land in Paris in an hour; you’ve been staring at the computer for a long ti. Want to rest for a bit?"
