Crimson Hill Villa.

At five o’clock, Nora Northwood sent a WeChat ssage to Jasper Sinclair.

"Co ho early tonight, I’ll wait for you for dinner."

A few minutes later, he replied with just a brief "Okay".

Only then did Nora rember that it had been many days since they had shared a al face to face.

Because of this "Okay", she waited at the dinner table, minute after minute...

As the sky darkened, the steamy cordyceps pigeon soup gradually lost its heat.

The warm al slowly cooled down, untouched from start to finish.

The chefs who prepared dinner exchanged glances but dared not speak up.

At this mont, only Uncle Kevin could step forward and say a few words, "Ma’am, why don’t you ask Mr. Sinclair when he’ll be back? I can have the kitchen staff prepare it again."

Nora had a poor appetite to begin with, and if Jasper hadn’t agreed to co, she wouldn’t have sat there waiting.

During the long wait, her appetite also faded away.

Nora couldn’t even understand why it turned out this way.

She raised her hand and waved it a few tis casually, saying to Uncle Kevin, "Just throw it away, no need to prepare again."

After saying this, she left the dining area.

Uncle Kevin thought she was going upstairs to rest, but surprisingly, her steps were heading towards the entryway.

Uncle Kevin signaled to the servant standing by the door with a look.

Understanding the cue, the servant, with a businesslike smile, blocked Nora’s path, "Ma’am, are you going outside for a walk? But it’s quite cold outside, let get you a coat and accompany you out, okay?"

Nora had no reason to refuse.

She was naturally afraid of the cold, and if not for her own well-being, she had to think about the baby in her womb.

Ever since becoming pregnant, she felt more bound in many ways.

After the servant brought her a coat and scarf, she stopped the servant from further actions, "I’ll just walk in the back garden, no need to follow, take it easy."

The servant’s eyes silently sought confirmation from Uncle Kevin. After getting approval, they slowly stepped aside, revealing the fully open door for Nora.

As she said, she didn’t go far, just strolled around the back garden a few tis.

On the chilly night with only a few degrees, Nora’s complexion visibly turned pale.

Had Jasper grown tired of her?

Was there another woman outside?

All sorts of questions filled Nora’s mind, rendering her brain a muddled ss and robbing her of the ability to think clearly.

It seed a tear had welled up, dropping right onto the blue diamond on her ring finger.

The weather forecast said there would be light rain mixed with snow tonight.

Nora stood alone in the wind and snow, her figure swaying as if she would collapse onto the snowy ground at any mont.

The life she envisioned for a family of three lted into the earth with the falling snowflakes, then vanished without a trace...

While Nora was lost in her thoughts, Jasper was busy with sothing quite crazy.

He had taken Professor Bishop’s advice, summoning everyone who had been in contact with Nora over the past month.

This was an enormous and complicated task, and it was the reason for his early departures and late returns.

He couldn’t tell Nora what he was doing, as it would only make the expectant mother more anxious.

Nora had already received a falsified health report, which showed all her indicators were normal.
