Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk Chapter 747: He Overheard It
As Jasper Sinclair arrived, he only heard the last two words: "divorce."
Nora Northwood enunciated those words with particular emphasis.
She had made this decision with great determination, yet no one could fathom her inner thoughts.
From Jasper Sinclair’s perspective, he felt that "divorce" was sothing she could casually ntion.
His gaze swept over both won, then he decisively stood by Peach Bell’s side.
He was emotionless, "Being able to ntion divorce so easily suggests you don’t care about as much as I thought. In that case, I have no reason to return ho with you."
Nora raised her eyes, eting his gaze, and smiled slightly, not responding.
Let him think what he wants.
In recent days, her patience had been worn thin, and she could no longer stir any enthusiasm.
Seeing her expression, Jasper suddenly felt empty inside, as if he were about to lose sothing.
This sense of loss was quickly interrupted by Peach Bell’s voice at his ear. She coquettishly said, "Brother Jasper, shall we go back to the hospital, please?"
"Okay."
"Peach, I’ll say just once, consider carefully. You have three days to think it over. Of course, if you disagree, that’s fine too. Jasper Sinclair is definitely going back ho."
Nora’s certainty caused unease.
In the following three days, she locked herself up in the manor and saw no one.
On the third day, the manor welcod two guests.
Lily Sloan and Finnian Lawrence.
"Surprise!"
Lily Sloan bead, her hair color changed and her smile seed even more infectious.
However, Nora wasn’t infected by it, "No surprise, just a bit of shock!"
She spoke while leading them into the living room and asked in passing, "Why didn’t you give a heads up beforehand?"
"Finnian’s on a business trip here, so I tagged along, taking the chance to see you."
"I thought you ca just for ."
Lily went to hug Nora’s arm, shaking it, "Of course, seeing Nora is the most important!"
Nora instructed the manor’s chef to prepare a Chinese lunch, then sat down to catch up with Lily Sloan.
In this foreign land, seeing a long-unseen friend brought a certain sense of belonging.
She removed the "Young Madam" mask, returning to being Nora.
Her mouth’s curve drooped, on the verge of speaking with a sob, "Lily, I’m not happy here at all."
"You wouldn’t say over the phone, but I could tell what’s happening just by listening."
"Jasper lost his mory."
"What? What!" A male and female voice simultaneously exclaid.
Lily Sloan and Finnian Lawrence were both stunned beyond words; such a dramatic turn of events was unfolding right near them!
"So, he can’t rember you at all, is that it?" Lily Sloan asked, her voice trembling slightly.
"If it was just that he couldn’t rember, my heart would be better off than it is now..."
In the next half an hour, Nora recounted the events that had transpired recently.
However, she glossed over the harsh words Jasper had uttered.
No matter that their relationship was ending, she hoped for this man to remain dignified forever.
After hearing everything, Lily Sloan stomped her foot in frustration, "How could soone so young have such wicked thoughts!"
She was referring to Peach Bell.
"All for their beloved, it’s understandable," Nora shrugged weakly.
