It was dinner ti, and pedestrians on both sides of the street moved together in small groups.

In just two days, it would be the beginning of sumr.

You could already feel the heat and restlessness in the air.

Jasper Sinclair parked the car and entered the restaurant with Nora Northwood; it was a place that specialized in "crab dining" and catered to upscale clientele.

The nu was updated daily, decided by the chef of the day, giving it the feel of a blind box experience.

Nora Northwood chose a drunken crab, along with so light porridge and small dishes.

Soon, a waiter passed by them with a crab platter.

Nora exclaid in surprise, "I thought it was for us, I’m so hungry."

"Want to order a few appetizers?"

"No, I want to save my stomach for the drunken crab. You probably haven’t been to this place before."

Jasper’s outings were usually arranged by Louis Hayes, and from what he rembered, seldom involved seafood restaurants.

Firstly, because it was complicated to eat, and secondly, not everyone could adapt to the sweet yet briny taste of seafood.

Following Nora’s comnt, he responded, "Indeed, I haven’t been here before. Thanks to Nora, I get to taste the drunken crab."

Nora waved her hand grandly, "No big deal."

With Jasper accompanying her in casual conversation, her hunger was sowhat forgotten.

About twenty minutes later, the waiter finally brought their crab to the table, and it was no exaggeration that the crab claws were larger than Nora’s palm.

"Do you need crab peeling service?" the waiter asked politely.

"No, thank you." This ti, it was Nora who sent the person away.

When she said "no," Jasper knew that the labor of this al would inevitably be his.

So, before the waiter turned away, he asked for a set of crab peeling tools, which included various sizes of small hamrs and tweezers, all complete.

"I’ll show you how to peel the crab barehanded," Nora said.

Jasper was worried she might hurt herself and imdiately rejected the idea, moving the plate of drunken crab over to his side, saying, "Co on, wear the gloves; when have I ever let you do it yourself?"

This was indeed true.

Nora loved shrimp, and at ho, the shrimp was always shelled.

She watched as he picked up the smallest hamr and tapped on the crab claw. With just a few gentle knocks, the whole claw at ca out.

He hadn’t even worn gloves, and his fingertips were tinged with a little briny sweetness.

Nora quickly lifted her porcelain plate from the table to receive her crab at, smiling ingratiatingly, "Thank you, Boss Sinclair, I’m truly honored."

"You’re a sweet talker."

Nora dipped the at in vinegar sauce, but her eyes never left Jasper’s hands.

Soone so accustod to a life of comfort doing such tasks was quite out of character.

She thought several tis about suggesting they let a professional waiter handle the crab peeling, but Jasper’s focused and earnest deanor dissuaded her.

Perhaps, even young masters from wealthy families occasionally wanted to experience an ordinary person’s life.

Maybe her gaze was too intense because Jasper paused his activity and asked her what she was looking at.

Nora replied, "The crab you peeled is tastier than anyone else’s."

"Alright, I’ll peel them for you from now on."

Nora thought it was just a casual remark, but Jasper earnestly etched it into his heart.

No matter how you put it, it was heart-stirring.

The two ate through more than half of the crab; the crab had been soaked in white wine beforehand, imbuing the at with rich wine fragrance, and knowing they probably couldn’t drive later, they called for a driving service.
