Nora Northwood’s brow furrowed, clutching the brocade box in her arms even tighter.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t an it." After saying this, she planned to walk around her.

Jade Lockwood, having never been treated this way, dissatisfiedly stepped forward to snatch it. Fortunately, Nora swiftly dodged to the side with the box: "What are you doing? If it breaks, what then?"

"Then hurry up and hand it over, otherwise..."

"Otherwise what?" Vincent Morgan stepped out with a smile on his face: "The professor asked to take a look, and it turns out I witnessed Eldest Miss Lockwood flaunting her power. This perfu was gifted to this young lady by the professor; you shouldn’t have any designs on it."

Jade Lockwood’s face changed, embarrassed and not knowing what to do.

"But she doesn’t even understand perfu; giving it to her would be a waste, wouldn’t it?" She defended herself, catching a glimpse of Vincent’s darkened expression. Jade Lockwood knew she couldn’t say more. Offending Vincent was equivalent to offending the master, and if things escalated, her father wouldn’t spare her.

She left awkwardly, not forgetting to glare at Nora on her way out.

On the second floor, Jasper Sinclair swirled his wine glass, raising an eyebrow as he watched the scene below with amusent.

He didn’t know his young wife was so popular, even Vincent was stepping in to help her.

However, seeing her maintain a courteous and poised deanor throughout, his expression eased a little.

He hadn’t realized that upon first seeing Nora close to Vincent, his gaze had almost urged him to rush over imdiately.

"That’s the girl I ntioned," Elaine poured a cup of tea.

Although a bit surprised at Jasper’s presence here, since he ca, she had to co over to see.

"Aunt Hutchinson does have a good eye." He didn’t like calling her Elaine, preferring to refer to her as Aunt Hutchinson every ti.

His mother and she had been longti friends. Although his mother had passed away, Aunt Hutchinson still occasionally visited him.

"She’s quite a promising young lady, what a pity."

Pity she had already taken on apprentices.

Elaine blurted it out, but Yuna Hughes behind her turned pale, just as Vincent returned.

"President Sinclair." He greeted proactively.

"You seem to find that young lady quite special." Jasper Sinclair raised an eyebrow at him.

"Just feels a bit familiar, that’s all." Vincent said truthfully. He didn’t have romantic feelings for Nora; instead, he admired her. Or perhaps it was her aura that he appreciated.

Jasper Sinclair tilted his head back and downed his drink: "If it’s not love, that’s best. You two aren’t suitable."

His tall figure lounged on the sofa, exuding a wickedly carefree charm that Yuna couldn’t take her eyes off of.

But in her eyes, there was no room for anyone other than her senior anymore. Turning her head, she had to admit, upon hearing her senior say it was just a familiar feeling, how thrilled she had been in her heart. Luckily, it wasn’t love.

Shrugging, Vincent didn’t say much more. Falling for soone at first sight? That was too far-fetched.

Not to ntion she’s a married woman; he wouldn’t involve himself in such affairs.

"By the way, I heard Aunt Hutchinson, there’s so news about your daughter. How’s it going?"

Jasper, recalling she was searching for her biological daughter, casually asked.

"I’ve found so clues. The person who took her back then sold her to a family, receiving 5,000 yuan. Unfortunately, the family moved away early on, and there’s been no news since."

And too many families have moved from that village, not even knowing exactly which family bought her.

Sighing deeply, she’s strived up to now to have the ans to find her daughter. But after twenty years, there’s still no concrete result.

"Send it to , Aunt Hutchinson, perhaps I can help in so way."

Putting down his glass, he left with just these words.
