Nora Northwood went to the hospital to remove her cast, accompanied by Elaine and Uncle Kevin.

"Why not give him a ride back?"

Nora didn’t understand what was inconvenient about it.

Until she heard Jasper instruct the driver, "Raise the partition."

Soon, the opaque partition divided the car into two separate spaces.

He then grabbed Nora’s calf, placed it on his own leg, and carefully examined it, asking with concern, "Is there anywhere still uncomfortable?"

"No more."

Nora’s voice was almost too soft to detect. She could feel the layer of calluses on his palm, rough against the surface of her skin.

"Co sit here."

Jasper patted his thigh twice, indicating for her to co over. Though it was an embarrassing gesture, his expression seed as if he was doing sothing very serious.
