"They’re all busy dating."

"Then just invite them together, the more the rrier. If anything needs to be prepared, just ask Uncle Kevin."

Calculating back and forth, Nora Northwood has lived here for over a year, but she has never invited anyone over as a guest.

In her subconscious, this place doesn’t belong to her.

If she were to invite friends for a gathering and things got ssy, it would trouble Uncle Kevin and probably upset Jasper Sinclair.

After all, he isn’t soone who likes lively atmospheres.

However, Jasper Sinclair’s words today were tantamount to telling Nora Northwood: You are the lady of this house, you have absolute control and usage rights.

Weekend.

Nora invited friends over to her house as guests, but Jasper Sinclair couldn’t join in, as he was on a business flight to lbourne at the ti.

"Nora, are we going to set the backyard on fire making this?"

Lily Sloan asked as she eyed the vast garden. It was her first ti here, and inevitably she felt a bit stiff.

"Then you can stay and be the gardener, work here for free for thirty years."

Everyone burst into laughter.

Rhys Linden chid in, "Gardening work sounds great. Sis, are you still hiring?"

"You’ll have to ask Jasper."

"Rhys, co over and help, otherwise you’ll be hungry while trimming flowers," Yvonne Winslow called.

Everyone was chatting away, leaving Yvonne Winslow diligently flipping lamb chops in front of the charcoal grill.

Rhys went to help her, only to be teased, "You won’t survive in the Linden family, can’t even find a helper while doing laborious work."

"How could I dare? I’ll be doing all the housework in the future," Rhys joked, and then suddenly rembered sothing, "Are you free on May 1st? My parents want to invite you over for a simple al."

The last ti she t the parents, the reception from the Linden elders wasn’t warm.

Yvonne Winslow thought they didn’t like her, and even Rhys Linden’s "That’s just how their personalities are," fell on deaf ears.

Later, Mrs. Linden called her during the harshest weather days.

On the phone, her tone remained calm, but her words were caring.

Only then did Yvonne Winsoy unravel her doubts, understanding what it ant by "personality-driven;" there truly are people who, though not eloquent, feel deeply.

Afterward, she confessed this matter to Rhys Linden, even asking him, "How did your parents, who are so reserved, raise a slick talker like you?"

Rhys responded with a witty play on words.

She continued what she was doing, casually saying, "I should be free, but it’s still early, so I’m not sure if other things might co up."

"Alright, I’ll inform them first."

Shane Hamilton ca over with a platter of skewered vegetables and joined the couple, praising, "I didn’t expect you young people to have such good skills."

"Shane, you’re only a few years older, why aren’t you considered young anymore?"

Her teasing made Shane chuckle, "I’m almost forty, in a few years, I’ll have one foot in the grave."

"Nonsense, don’t say such things."

Nora, unable to walk well, mostly sat in a wheelchair while Lily Sloan chatted with her, occasionally ntioning Finnian Lawrence.

"Buzz buzz."

The phone in her lap vibrated with a ssage from Jasper just after landing.

She greeted Lily Sloan, "Finnian should be arriving soon, can you help greet him at the door?"

Lily loved this task.

As she happily darted off, Nora herself wheeled to a slightly quieter spot and dialed a video call to Jasper Sinclair.
