The guests for the dinner gathering arrived one after another, and as the host of the evening, Elaine introduced everyone to each other.

When she stopped at Nora Northwood, she added a few more words, "Nora Northwood, the curator of the VK Brand, a very talented young lady. Had it been a few years earlier, I would have taken her as my last disciple."

As soon as she said this, the way everyone looked at Nora Northwood shifted with more respect.

Being praised so highly by Master Elaine, she must be extraordinary.

The dinner passed quickly, and as it was about to end, Elaine glanced at the sky outside the window.

"There’s a bit of rain; I’ll arrange for a driver to take you all ho."

The pitter-patter of rain couldn’t be heard by anyone inside, blocked by several windows.

Most attendees had taken taxis from their companies, though a few had driven their own cars.

However, no one wanted to oppose or refuse Master Elaine’s arrangent.

Once everyone was taken care of, only Nora Northwood was left.

The dining room door swung open and shut, amplifying the sound of the rain, with different scents of perfus mingling in the air.

Nora Northwood saw her own clear eyes in the reflection of the table. How could she not see Elaine’s intentions?

When the others returned, she took the initiative to express her thanks, "Aunt Hutchinson, thank you for organizing today’s gathering; I’ve gained a lot from eting so many industry seniors."

"You’re a smart person. The dostic fragrance field has been stagnant for years; I hope you seize every opportunity to break the current situation."

Elaine had great expectations for her.

Just as they were chatting, Vincent Morgan entered from outside, "Master, Nora."

"Morgan!" Nora Northwood was surprised to see him.

"I’m in the next room with friends. Since you’re all ladies here, I won’t intrude on your fun."

Suddenly, a flash of light streaked across the sky outside, accompanied by a roll of thunder.

The rainstorm was markedly heavier than before.

They decided not to linger any longer and hurried to leave before the rain got worse. Vincent offered, "Nora, I’ll take you ho."

"Take Aunt Hutchinson first; I drove here myself." Saying this, she shook the car keys in her palm.

Vincent focused on the tall glass in front of her and asked, "Are you sure you want to drive under the influence?"

Nora Northwood shrugged slightly in defeat.

On the way back to the villa, they talked about so of Master Elaine’s past.

In her slightly tipsy excitent, she said, "I helped Aunt Hutchinson find her lost daughter!"

Upon first eting, Nora Northwood had been reserved and taciturn, which Vincent found intriguing now.

Taking advantage of a red light, he flipped through so photos on his phone, "Let show you so photos of the little one. It’s a sha that after over twenty years, she might not be recognized even if she stood in front of Master."

Nora Northwood leaned in to look and her expression changed the instant she focused.

Perhaps others might not recognize her, but she surely could.

Nora Northwood swallowed hard, her tightly clenched hands resting against her abdon, trembling uncontrollably.

She asked, "Is this Master Elaine’s daughter?"

She didn’t notice how her address for Elaine had changed, or that her voice carried a tremble in its undertone.

The drastic change in Nora Northwood’s deanor did not go unnoticed by Vincent.

Watching her closely, he answered with unwavering conviction, "Yes."

Nora Northwood bowed her head, hiding her expression in the darkness of the night.

The green light passed, the car began to move again, and Vincent was forced to concentrate back on the steering wheel.
