When Finnian Lawrence and Lily Sloan t, it was in a quiet tea room, with excellent privacy, making it extrely suitable for business negotiations among bosses. The walls were adorned with famous works of art.

Lily Sloan saw the young man and thought she had walked into the wrong place, quickly bending down to apologize, "Wrong place."

Until the other person spoke, "Manager Sloan, you’re right here."

The youthful voice was gentle yet powerful, very distinctive. With just one sentence, Lily Sloan was stunned; her lips slightly parted, and she subconsciously blurted out, "So it’s you."

While she was in a daze, Finnian Lawrence had already approached her and extended his hand, "Pleasure to et you."

His tone, like his pace, was calm and unhurried.

Behind him stood an elderly gentleman, his temples touched by the frost of ti, a companion of Elder Lawrence.

"Pleasure to et you, pleasure to et you."

The two shook hands, and Lily Sloan caught a faint scent of morning dew. She adjusted her shoulder bag that was slipping off, but when she tried to sll it again, she had lost the trail.

"Let’s sit down and talk," Finnian Lawrence withdrew his hand, naturally taking control of the situation, "Isn’t there another manager, Manager Winslow from VK, arriving later?"

Lily Sloan cleared her throat, "Sorry, let check."

Just as she opened her phone, she received a ssage from Yvonne Winslow, saying the car had broken down on the road and it would be a while before she could get there.

Lily Sloan roared in her heart: What on earth is going on!

Yet, Finnian Lawrence’s deanor left her unsure if he rembered their previous encounter.

After putting down the phone, she observed a silent mont for three seconds, deciding to stay and face it alone.

She straightened her back again and completed the tasks Nora Northwood had entrusted her, "Mr. Lawrence, this is the new series ’Mortal World’ that VK hopes to collaborate on with the Lawrence Family."

Finnian Lawrence’s eyes narrowed slightly. While the other party explained, his long fingers subtly loosened the bow tie a little.

After the explanation ended, Lily Sloan was parched. She looked at the tea that was right in front of her but didn’t dare to drink it. Instead, she smiled and asked the dignitary, "Do you think there’s anything that needs modification?"

"Not at the mont."

Finnian Lawrence’s tone was sowhat languid, and Lily Sloan almost doubted whether this person was genuinely listening to her!

"Manager Sloan, you’ve talked for so long, you must be thirsty. This is Longjing tea, please have a taste."

"Thank you."

His words, like an emperor’s pardon, allowed Lily Sloan to finally pick up the teacup, gulping down several sips in one go. Perhaps she drank too hastily, and when the bitterness hit her throat, it was quite intense.

Putting down the teacup, she scrutinized Finnian Lawrence for a few monts.

He appeared quite different from the genteel young man she t the first ti; today he wore a suit that accentuated his noble deanor, more like a businessman long accustod to high positions.

After discussing the business, the two exchanged a few pleasantries. Lily Sloan had always wanted to ask, "Do you not rember that we’ve t before?"

She held back for over an hour but never asked it, finding herself unusually at a loss for words.

Coming out of the tea room, she watched Finnian Lawrence approach a dark erald-colored Rolls-Royce.

Faced with his back, she grew a bit bolder, openly admiring him from top to bottom.

Unexpectedly, just a second before getting into the car, he turned his head.

Their eyes t, and Finnian Lawrence’s gaze, like himself, was a blend of gentlemanliness with a hint of aloofness.

Lily Sloan felt like a child caught doing sothing wrong, quickly averting her head, "Didn’t see , didn’t see ," she muttered softly.
