After going upstairs, Nora Northwood found the bedroom empty.

Not unexpectedly, Jasper Sinclair was probably in the study dealing with business affairs. Now, both of them are workaholics.

"Not a family, don’t enter the sa door." This saying seems to have so truth now.

Subsequently, Nora closed the bedroom door and changed direction with her footsteps.

The door to the study was open, as if the owner was waiting for sothing. As soon as she stepped in, the person behind the desk lifted his head, "You’re back."

"This afternoon, I’ve been in etings and forgot to reply to your ssages," Nora explained honestly, with a hint of apology in her tone.

"It’s okay, have you had dinner?"

His facial expression was as usual, making it impossible to read his true feelings.

"Not yet, you haven’t eaten either, have you?"

Nora was so absorbed in her overti work that she forgot about dinner.

Coincidentally, Jasper had been waiting for her until now and hadn’t had a drop to drink either.

Unfortunately, the dishes on the table had long turned cold, and neither of them had the energy, so Uncle Kevin was asked to notify the kitchen staff to simply cook two bowls of lobster noodles.

Before dining, Nora brought up a matter: "Let’s talk about what’s been happening at the estate recently."

To be more precise, the estate should be replaced with Peach Bell’s na, but she chose not to.

In a mont of silence, Jasper showed a rare look of surprise, trying to change the subject, "Why are you suddenly asking about this?"

"The first ti you left at the theater, the second ti you left in Corinthia, shouldn’t I ask?"

In the room, there was a sort of quietude before death approaches.

Nora’s breathing was no longer steady, her hands clinging tightly to her clothes under the table, her gaze fixed unwaveringly on the person opposite.

She couldn’t distinguish her emotions; was she angry, sad, or perhaps disappointed...

"Peach Bell..." Jasper started but stopped halfway.

So matters cannot be explained in a few words, and many mysteries remain unresolved, requiring more ti.

Ultimately, he still did not provide a reasonable explanation or reason.

When the servant brought the tray to the dining room, they sensed a different atmosphere, guessing they might have quarreled, and quickly exited.

"Nora, let’s eat dinner first, shall we?"

"I’m not hungry, you eat." Nora left this remark and turned back to the bedroom, not looking back as she left.

Her thoughts were muddled, not even knowing how she got out of the dining room and up the stairs.

"Bang—"

She only recalled the mont the door closed, all her senses vanished, as if entering a void.

She squatted behind the room door, leaning against the cold wooden board.

Before the dam broke, she took a deep breath, her whole body tensed.

After this day, Nora no longer actively brought up matters of the estate and Peach Bell.

The fixed monthly visits to Grandma Sinclair, she also used work as an excuse to cancel, just making a phone call, expressing concern for the old lady’s health condition.

The exhibition was imminent, indeed she’s very busy, wishing she could split herself into three.

In the laboratory, Nora once again poured the blended essential oils into the waste pool, agitatedly scratching her head, unable to calm down to create the Maridia Rose.

gan Underwood noticed her odd behavior and leaned in, "Nora, don’t give yourself too much pressure, the biggest taboo for fragrance creation is impatience and unease."

"Understood, gan Underwood, I’m going out for so air."
