"Your... friend must have so feelings for his wife. If he’s feeling uneasy, why not just say it directly?"

Louis Hayes almost slipped up, but he quickly switched gears and changed his words.

"How is that possible? No feelings involved. Your analysis is wrong. It’s a forced marriage under duress, with a kind of woman who loves vanity. How could there be feelings?"

Like a cat whose tail is stepped on, Jasper Sinclair suddenly panicked.

Could he possibly like Nora Northwood? Absolutely impossible!

"If you don’t like her, why would you care?" Louis asked, puzzled, speaking bluntly.

The car fell silent. All the way to the company, Jasper Sinclair did not say another word.

If you don’t like soone, why would you care? Good question.

He stopped dwelling on it and instructed Louis Hayes to call yesterday’s responsible party as soon as he entered the elevator.

ssing around right under his nose, soone must be itching for trouble!

anwhile, the responsible party had no idea they’d stepped into a trap this ti.

Seated in the office, he was about to start on so paperwork when his phone suddenly rang.

"Grandma." He looked at the caller ID and his cold expression softened, revealing so warmth.

"When are you bringing your wife to see ?" Grandma Sinclair asked, her tone a bit plaintive.

She had been in the hospital for so long and hadn’t t her granddaughter-in-law, all because of this brat!

How could her eyes have chosen wrong?

Pausing for a mont, Jasper Sinclair licked his lips and rubbed his temple with a large hand: "Please focus on recuperating. The doctor said you need to rest quietly now. I’ll bring her over to see you in a while."

Grandma Sinclair sounded displeased: "You brat, don’t trust Grandma’s judgnt and insist on testing."

That good girl gets suspected in such a way, what on earth is this brat thinking?

"You’re older now, and young ladies today like to disguise themselves."

Thinking of the words he heard over the phone, his gaze turned a bit colder.

Just then, Owen Lane, the person responsible for the banquet, knocked on the office door.

"President Sinclair?"

"Alright, Grandma, let’s talk later. I’ll bring her to see you after so ti."

He hung up before Grandma Sinclair could respond.

"That brat!" Grandma Sinclair muttered, putting her phone aside: "Last ti when you saw that girl, how was she?"

Raina Sinclair smiled: "She’s a good child. It’s just a sha her family isn’t very capable. However, it seems Jasper isn’t completely indifferent to her."

Instinctively protective, actively helping in the kitchen.

The Jasper of the past wouldn’t do such things.

"I told you, this brat will regret it one day. Then I won’t help him." Grandma Sinclair snorted, looking smugly out the window.

anwhile, in The Sinclair Group’s office, Owen Lane stood looking at the seated president, breaking out in a cold sweat.

What’s going on? Called here but not a word said?

Jasper Sinclair, with his chin supported, arm resting on the desk.

His usually emotionless gaze now carrying hints of amusent.

Having been in contact with him for a long ti, Owen Lane knew if Louis were here, his hairs would surely stand on end.

President Sinclair rarely laughs, and if he does, it ans soone’s in trouble.

"President Sinclair, did you call here for sothing?" He stamred, taking the initiative, his shirt collar soaking wet and terribly uncomfortable.

Being stared at his back, he felt a chill, truly tornting!

"Don’t you know?" Jasper Sinclair asked, looking at him with a faint smile.
