"I understand." Almost all of Mi Jing's friends knew Han Xiujie. She had a great group of friends, very loyal, and Bai Lulu was one of them.

"Guo Jinxin, are you coming or not?" Bai Lulu, a few ters ahead, saw that Old Guo hadn't followed and impatiently urged him.

Not wanting to make things awkward for Old Guo, Han Xiujie tactfully took his leave first, "Go on, best wishes for your marriage, I should get going."

Hearing this, Old Guo patted Han Xiujie on the shoulder, sighed silently, the path was chosen by Han Xiujie himself, whether it brought joy or sorrow, good or bad, he had to bear the consequences. Old Guo just felt sorry for him. He had lost his purest love—could he ever find it again?

"Jingjing, was Lulu's wedding lively today? Did you et any guys you liked?"

As soon as Mi Jing walked through the door, she was t with a concerned question from Fang Qingru, which instantly made her scalp tingle. She forced a dry smile and replied, "Yes! There were two who seed nice, but one had a girlfriend and the other was married."

Mi Jing didn't dare tell Fang Qingru the truth, that she had spent the entire wedding eating and drinking, without any interest in looking at n.

Fang Qingru was delighted to hear the first part, but her excitent dampened at the end, "Sigh, n are like canteen als, the early birds get the best."

Hearing this, Mi Jing laughed and asked, "Mom, does that an you were one of those who got to the canteen early?"

"I don't know if I was early, but I found a good one anyway. You brat, you better put in all your effort, even if all that's left are scraps, find one you can at least eat."

"Okay, okay, okay!" Mi Jing said "okay" three tis in a row, sensing a red flag, she quickly changed the topic, "Mom, where's dad?"

"In the room, writing a recipe."

"Oh, then you keep watching TV. I've had a busy day, I'm quite tired, want to take a bath and sleep early." After speaking, Mi Jing gave a tily yawn.

As the saying goes, no one knows a daughter better than her mother. Fang Qingru knew Mi Jing didn't like her nagging, and understanding her hard work, she waved her away, "Go on."

Hearing this, Mi Jing felt like she was granted amnesty and quickly slipped into her own room.

Mi Jing had a habit of recording life's monts by drawing; after her bath, she took her sketchbook and pencils to her bed, planning to sketch what happened today.

Ring ring...

The phone rang, breaking the silence. Mi Jing picked up the phone from her bedside table, her slender fingers tapped the screen, and she answered the call.

"Jing, I got a huge red envelope today, guess how much?" Before Mi Jing could put the phone to her ear, Bai Lulu's excited voice ca through.

Mi Jing didn't enjoy guessing gas as she lacked patience, but seeing Bai Lulu so happy, she couldn't help but be infected by her good mood and guessed with a smile, "To make you this excited, it must be over ten thousand. One or two?"

Bai Lulu worked as a cashier in the finance departnt of Jin City's most renowned private hospital, handling money every day. The worst part for her was counting piles of cash that couldn't be hers.

"Wrong, it's ten thousand plus twenty thousand, a total of thirty thousand!" Bai Lulu responded loudly with excitent.

Hearing this, Mi Jing perked up, curiously asking, "Who's so generous?"

"Our incredibly handso headmaster!"

"Does your headmaster have a crush on you?" If there was a reason for her superior's generosity, Mi Jing's first thought was him having feelings for Bai Lulu.

"Don't make stuff up. Our headmaster is famous for his generosity. A few years ago, he gave his assistant a red envelope of two hundred thousand for their wedding."

"Seems like your headmaster is quite the tycoon!"

"Exactly! A handso, wealthy single man, ninety-five percent of the single won at our hospital dream of marrying him."

Hearing Bai Lulu talk about her colleagues, Mi Jing suddenly rembered a very handso guy, "Lulu, doesn't your hospital have quite a few good-looking male doctors?" She guessed that the super handso guy might be a doctor.

"Not really!" Bai Lulu quickly thought it over and said, "There are maybe four or five who can be considered handso, most are average or married. Wait, why are you asking? Have you taken a fancy to one of our doctors?"

"No way!" Mi Jing hurriedly denied, then briefly explained eting Li Jia in the hotel parking lot and dragging the super handso guy to pretend to be her boyfriend.

"You didn't ask for his na?" Bai Lulu asked further.

"I didn't rember to ask."

"Sigh." Bai Lulu gave a big sigh, expressing her frustration.

"What are you sighing for? Did Old Guo abandon you?" Mi Jing pretended not to know.

"Don't play dumb. You don't know his na, how can I know who you t? Can you describe his appearance to ?"

"Forget it, I don't want to know who he is."

"With that attitude, no wonder Auntie is worried you won't get married." After a mont of silence, Bai Lulu squeezed out the words in exasperation.

In fact, getting married isn't hard; what's hard is finding soone you like who likes you back. Before hanging up, this is what Mi Jing told Bai Lulu.

She wasn't in a rush to marry or date. She had a warm ho, her parents and family gave her enough love. Her sister was already married, leaving her to often stay by her parents' side. She didn't want to leave them.

Swish swish, the pencil slid across the paper. In just a few minutes, cartoon versions of Han Xiujie and Li Jia erged.

Mi Jing was very good at drawing them; one was soone she used to love, she'd often draw him with passionate love, and with practice, beca skilled at it. The other was soone she despised, she'd draw Li Jia very ugly every ti, the more grotesque, the more satisfied she was, it beca a self-entertainnt.

Seeing them again after five years, Mi Jing felt angry! Because when she was deeply in love and believed in love, they hurt her. But now, her anger had subsided, her heart was calm. Her hand moved the pencil on and off, objectively and truthfully sketching today's events, like recording an ordinary little matter.

This was the last ti she let these two appear in her sketchbook. From now on, they were strangers. If they t again in a corner of this city, she'd treat them as strangers because only strangers wouldn't affect her emotions or hold a place in her heart.
