"Good to know." Shen Lingxing loosened his hold on Mi Jing, teasing her with a smile, looking very punchable to Mi Jing.

"Annoying! You heartless man, do you think I would casually help just any guy shave? If I wasn’t in a good mood, I wouldn’t have bothered with you." Mi Jing crossed her arms over her chest, pouting as she spoke.

"Getting angry makes you age faster. Lie down and sleep a bit more." Shen Lingxing stood by the bed, skillfully putting on his pajamas, smiling at Mi Jing.

"..."

I’m not going to bother with you!

Mi Jing turned her head away haughtily, not saying a word, using her actions to express her displeasure.

Seeing this, Shen Lingxing smiled faintly, not particularly bothered by Mi Jing’s little tantrum. He reached out and patted her head, then turned and walked towards the bathroom.

Hearing the footsteps gradually fade away, Mi Jing turned her head back, and Shen Lingxing’s figure had disappeared from the bedroom.

With a thump, Mi Jing fell face down on the bed, feeling a bit resentful: Why so petty? Didn’t she just accidentally break his razor last ti! Does he have to hold a grudge and be so dismissive of her?

Rolling around on the bed a few tis, Mi Jing couldn’t fall asleep, so she decided to get up and quietly approached the bathroom.

A truly handso man doesn’t need deliberate grooming, and Shen Lingxing definitely counted as one of the truly handso n.

So say that a man is most sexy when he’s shaving. At this mont, watching Shen Lingxing shave, Mi Jing wholeheartedly agreed with this viewpoint.

Half of Shen Lingxing’s face was covered in foam, only his straight nose, deep eyes, and thick, heroic brows visible. Although it was an "incomplete" face, it still looked pleasing to Mi Jing.

Mi Jing leaned lazily against the door fra, while Shen Lingxing focused on the mirror, seemingly unaware that Mi Jing was staring at him like a lovesick puppy.

Ti passed quietly. Under Mi Jing’s gaze, Shen Lingxing slowly and carefully cleaned off his beard. It wasn’t until Mi Jing walked up to him that he raised his eyes to look at her in the mirror, raising an eyebrow as he asked, "Seen enough?"

"Almost." Mi Jing responded with a faint smile, then reached out for the toothbrush cup on the sink to join Shen Lingxing in their morning routine.

The morning light grew warr, and the cozy atmosphere in the house continued to spread. After they finished washing up, they went downstairs together, with Shen Lingxing once again taking over the breakfast duties, while Mi Jing, having nothing to do, sat at the dining table and carefully sketched the portrait of the thug from last night.

"Who’s this?" Shen Lingxing brought breakfast to Mi Jing’s side, glancing curiously at the almost finished portrait on the paper.

"The bad guy we t at Lion Mountain last night." Without looking up, Mi Jing continued drawing as she spoke, "When I was driving down the mountain, he sat in the middle of the road pretending to be injured, tricking Ruanruan and into thinking he was robbed and asking us to take him to the hospital. His acting was quite convincing; I almost believed him and thought of helping him. But thanks to Ruanruan’s cleverness, seeing through his facade and stopping from getting out of the car. Fortunately, this jerk didn’t have any accomplices, otherwise, Ruanruan and I would have been in danger."

Sothing like that happened?

After hearing Mi Jing’s account, Shen Lingxing’s face turned serious as he sternly asked, "Why didn’t you call ?"

"It all happened so suddenly. At the ti, all I thought about was whether to help, and didn’t consider anything else."

Upon hearing this, Shen Lingxing’s expression didn’t soften. He forcefully commanded, "From now on, if you run into any trouble, you must inform imdiately." He couldn’t help but feel nervous, thinking about how close Mi Jing had co to danger.

"Okay." Mi Jing readily agreed. She understood that Shen Lingxing was worried about her. Suddenly, her heart seed to swell with sweetness, spreading a honeyed feeling on her face.

"Let’s eat breakfast first." Shen Lingxing sat down beside Mi Jing. Seeing her in a good mood, his face slowly softened.

"Wait a mont, almost done. To prevent this scumbag from hurting others, I have to draw him clearly so the police can punish him according to the law." As she said this, Mi Jing’s face was earnest, her sense of justice instantly surging.

"How much longer?"

"Three minutes."

"..."

Shen Lingxing stayed silent, sitting quietly next to Mi Jing as he waited for her to finish the drawing.

"Leave this to ; I’ll handle it." As soon as Mi Jing put down the pen, Shen Lingxing reached out to take the drawing paper, cold light flashing in his dark eyes.

"Okay." Mi Jing nodded decisively, trusting him unconditionally and depending on him.

After finishing breakfast, Mi Jing and Shen Lingxing left the house together. They parted ways in the parking lot, each driving to work.

Today was a weekday and coinciding with rush hour, the store had just opened, so there were no custors yet. It was quiet, with only one early-arriving employee cleaning.

"Jing, soone just delivered a box for you, and I had the delivery person leave it by the counter." The employee stopped cleaning when she saw Mi Jing walk in and said.

"Oh, thank you." Mi Jing smiled and thanked the employee, then walked straight to the counter.

Leaning against the counter was a foam box, the kind usually used for preserving food. Mi Jing was familiar with it. However, she had just stocked up on everything the store needed yesterday, so the store wasn’t short of anything at the mont, and she herself hadn’t ordered anything. Who could have sent such a box?

Mi Jing casually placed her bag on the counter. Filled with curiosity and doubt, she squatted down and calmly opened the box.

Wow!

Seeing what was inside, Mi Jing’s eyes widened in surprise and delight, her heart imdiately filled with joy and astonishnt!

"Xin, did the delivery person say who sent this box of seafood?" Mi Jing looked up at the employee and asked.

"I think it was soone with the last na Su." The employee replied uncertainly. It wasn’t that she had a bad mory, but that was exactly what the delivery person had said.

Soone with the last na Su?

But she had no relatives or friends with the last na Su?

Mi Jing squatted on the ground, resting her cheeks in her hands, frowning deeply as she muttered to herself, "Ms. Su, Ms. Su? Su..."

Could it be Mu Bai’s aunt, Mrs. Su?

Suddenly, Mi Jing’s eyes sparkled. She quickly took out her phone from her pocket and called Xing’er to get Su Aiping’s phone number, then dialed it to confirm.

It was indeed her!

After making two calls, Mi Jing’s guess was confird. Just now over the phone, Su Aiping said the seafood was sent to her by soone else. She had too much to eat alone at ho, so she passed so on to Mi Jing. She also specifically ntioned the previous incident and thanked her again.
