Chapter 807: Chapter 791: Rabbit Head Begins to Eat

The hat is placed on the falcon’s head, with its beak peeking through a hole. The curved parts inside the two rounded corners are designed to cover the falcon’s eyes, and as long as the back of the hat is secured tightly, it will stay stable on the head.

Once the hat was sewn, Yue Feng tried it on the little guy by holding onto the hat’s upper edge. Due to the dark environnt of the cabin and the soft texture of the rabbit skin, it surprisingly succeeded on the first try!

With its eyes covered, the falcon looked like a guilty criminal, unaccustod to the situation, it lowered its head and its feathers fluffed out from being tightly pressed against its body. The effect of the hat was imdiate!

“Haha, our craftsmanship isn’t bad. The angle for the beak opening is quite suitable, no light leaks, and the shape is functional without chafing the eyes! What’s left is to apply so pine oil to the back to make the hat more stiff and that should do!”

Yue Feng examined it carefully for a while and laughed with satisfaction.

With the hat sorted, the next step was making the training lure. Yue Feng used the wings of a grouse that he had previously caught, sewing them onto the sides of a folded triangular rabbit skin, adding a bit of weight at the bottom to make a simple lure.

Once hung, the lure could swing smoothly, enough for subsequent training!

After making the subsequent training equipnt, unknowingly, the sky darkened again.

But today, Yue Feng was not in a hurry to end the broadcast. Instead, he cooked in the cabin while chatting and interacting with everyone, having the falcon perched on his arm.

Near the fire, the falcon’s nervousness visibly intensified, frequently glancing at Yue Feng beside it.

However, Yue Feng was well aware of such raptors’ habits, keeping his movents within a range that the bird could tolerate.

As ti went by, without the hat, the falcon’s alertness gradually relaxed, allowing Yue Feng to occasionally use the back of his hand to touch its front chest, back, and tail feathers.

This falcon’s weight was relatively large, with a high energy reserve, so Yue Feng deliberately held it for half the night until past eleven o’clock. By then, after a night of bonding, the falcon’s wariness of humans significantly dropped!

After checking the cabin door, Yue Feng slipped into his sleeping bag to rest. After many days of persistent work, the result was finally yielding, and he felt much relieved.

He slept for less than five hours before getting up early to prop up the falcon.

Eagle training does not allow for sleeping in; mornings are when raptors are most alert. Yue Feng stayed in the cabin with the falcon for over half an hour until daylight started breaking and the alert posture of glaring and drooping wings began to fade.

Yue Feng was not in a hurry to feed, even as he supplented with a lot of fresh water.

Once the little guy squatted and excreted a watery droppings, Yue Feng opened the cabin door and took the falcon outside.

After the morning’s efforts, the falcon perford much better than yesterday, still in a perched position on the arm, although its eyes continued to scan around. After an attempt to escape failed, it obediently settled down.

Yue Feng was not in a rush to resu broadcast, instead he boldly carried the falcon to inspect the traps.

This is also a key step in eagle training. Having a human stay with the eagle for an extended period can quickly reduce the raptor’s vigilance, making them accustod to human presence. Once the weight reduces slightly, using food to enhance the relationship can gradually develop a positive conditioning response.

Today the luck was quite average; after carrying the falcon around the hunting grounds, he only harvested one wild rabbit. Yue Feng didn’t mind, carrying it back to the camp where he again provided copious amounts of water.

Over the next two days, Yue Feng repeatedly perford this action, only offering water without food, causing the falcon to grow increasingly close to humans, with its yearning for food becoming more acute. During lunch one day, as it tried to snatch Yue Feng’s cooked rabbit leg, Yue Feng felt the mont was almost right!

Then, Yue Feng sliced off the skinned rabbit head and began the second step of eagle training.

Feed initiation!

On cara, viewers saw Yue Feng holding a glossy red rabbit head and were baffled.

“Brother Feng, what are you using that for? The skinned rabbit head looks so ugly!”

“We quite like eating this around here, braised rabbit head is my favorite!”

Yue Feng chuckled: “Everyone’s always asking why I haven’t fed the falcon yet. Today, with the right fat and ti reduction, it’s ti for officially feeding!

Using a rabbit head for feeding makes so sense; it has at, but not too much, enabling extended feeding ti and creating opportunities for bonding!”

Saying this, Yue Feng carefully held the rabbit head and took off the falcon’s hat.

On a two-day diet of only water, the falcon’s stomach was already empty. Upon seeing the bright red rabbit head in its view, it imdiately started to struggle.

Yue Feng tily blew a whistle, carefully bringing the rabbit head within reach of the falcon’s claws.

There was a sudden “thump” sound as the falcon’s right claw darted out like lightning, securing the rabbit head under its feet with talon-like dagger claws.

“Wow! So fast!”

“Is this the Eagle Claw Skill? That’s crazy!”

“Brother Feng, is your hand alright? Imagine if this thing grabbed your hand…”

Yue Feng showed his uninjured hand: “Indeed, it’s quite dangerous. The falcon’s beak and claws are extrely dangerous, lethal weapons! I’m cautious!”

As he spoke, Yue Feng continued blowing the whistle, while the falcon, gripping the rabbit head, lowered its head and started munching.

With a beak equipped with hooks and serrations, the force was trendous, and the sound of crunching and snapping frequently ca through.

The at on the rabbit head was originally minimal, with more small bones and the like. The falcon’s beak easily bit through and shattered these thin bone structures, tearing the at to swallow.

In just about half an hour, the once large rabbit head was gnawed beyond recognition, leaving only bare white bones.

Only when no strands of at remained did the falcon reluctantly release its grip, allowing the bones to fall to the ground.

Yue Feng glanced at the little guy’s neck and crop area, noting only a slight bulge, barely reaching a third full.

“No wonder it’s a raptor! The way it devours a rabbit head is so fierce, much cleaner than how I eat!”

“Once it eats at, is it sustainable? What happens next?”

“Those bare bones, terrifying!”

Yue Feng: “Up to this point, the feed initiation stage is considered complete! The falcon has established initial rapport with humans and can now eat on the sleeve in front of people! For the first feeding, you can’t overeat; we’ll feed a bit of pre-prepared at in the afternoon to consolidate training results!”

By afternoon, Yue Feng used two pine branches shaped into simple chopsticks, preparing so fresh small rabbit at pieces.

The third-full at had long been digested by now, and Yue Feng used the chopsticks to pick up a at slice and whistled. Soon, the falcon reacted.

Whistle, feed, whistle, feed; only repeated a few tis, and the little guy practiced two completely unrelated actions together, initially establishing a positive conditioned response to whistle feeding!
