560: Chapter 547: Arriving at the Camp 560: Chapter 547: Arriving at the Camp After a hearty al, they finally filled their stomachs.

Zhou Jie took Yue Feng and the baby to a fairly decent hotel.

After checking into the hotel, Zhou Jie said, “According to our itinerary, we will take a small plane to the jungle early tomorrow morning, where we have our long-term camp and the local fishing guides!

“For today, I personally suggest you better adjust to the ti difference and rest up!

It can affect tomorrow’s plans if you’re unrested from the flight over!”

The well-fed baby shook her head, “But it’s bright daylight, and I don’t feel sleepy.

What about you, Fengfeng?

How do you feel?

Shall we go out for a walk?

We should at least take so pictures of the local landmarks, right?

Otherwise, wouldn’t we be missing out?”

Seeing the baby’s enthusiasm, Yue Feng said, “Then let’s go for a walk.

If we sleep now and can’t sleep tonight, it’s better to stay up and sleep early!”

“Hehe, Fengfeng is the best!

Handso Zhou Jie, take us to see sothing, preferably sowhere with souvenirs, so we can buy so to take ho as gifts!”

Being called handso, Zhou Jie was completely won over and said, “Actually, Manaus isn’t really a touristy city, and there aren’t many proper attractions in the city.

“If you want to buy so souvenirs to take back, I do know a place!

But it’s a bit far from where we are staying now, and it will take over an hour to drive there.”

“Two hours round trip, back before dark, that’s acceptable!

Take us there!”

“Alright!

Then I’ll take you guys for a spin!”

They got into Zhou Jie’s car, and after many twists and turns, Yue Feng felt that the busier parts of the city were getting fewer and farther between.

In the downtown area, the level of prosperity was roughly comparable to Hong Kong in the ’80s or ’90s, but as they got further out, it felt more like a small, backwater town!

“Are we leaving the city?” Yue Feng couldn’t resist asking out of curiosity.

“Right, we’re going to an old dock market in the old city area, where there’s a market that sells quite a few nice handicrafts!”

About an hour later, Zhou Jie brought Yue Feng and the baby to the market.

Despite its dilapidated exterior, which didn’t look very promising, once inside the market, even Yue Feng, a straight man with little sense of artistry, was captivated by the beautiful crafts.

Purely handcrafted wooden carvings, rattan weavings, fish bones, feather accessories, each item exuded a strong Latin Arican style.

The baby went from shop to shop, adoring everything and buying lots of little things she liked for herself and for Yue Feng.

The entire market wasn’t very large, the shops adding up to only about thirty or forty, but each had its own unique offerings.

The baby browsed each shop, with Yue Feng trailing behind, paying for everything, his arms laden with various sizes of souvenirs.

Once won start shopping, their energy seems endless.

Yue Feng even began to regret agreeing to the baby’s request!

They toured the market for several hours until the baby reluctantly decided it was ti to retreat and head back to the hotel.

Exhausted from both the flight and the afternoon’s excursion, Yue Feng returned to his room and didn’t want to get up again, resting for over an hour.

In the evening, he even tried the delicious Peacock Bass at the restaurant downstairs before returning to the hotel to rest early.

After showering and returning to their room, Yue Feng reminded the baby not to run around at night and soon fell fast asleep.

This sleep lasted from a little past eight in the evening until five-thirty in the morning when Zhou Jie knocked on the door to wake him up.

After a simple breakfast tasting of local cheese, they gathered their bags full of gear and headed to the agreed upon small airplane apron.

In the next five days, Yue Feng and his group needed to spend their ti in a camp located in the rainforest.

Luckily, Zhou Jie was very accommodating to his fellow countryn and helped to procure a large amount of food, biscuits, vacuum-packed als, beverages, and the like.

Loading up all the supplies onto the plane, the small aircraft took off amidst the roaring of its propellers, heading straight for the camp.

After flying for more than an hour, at six-thirty in the morning, the small plane successfully landed and Yue Feng arrived at the camp that Zhou Jie had ntioned.

It was a cluster of wooden buildings located just a few dozen ters from the riverbed, ranging in size with about a dozen structures in total, and not far from the buildings was a simple dock where the boats looked a bit rustic.

However, they were large enough to comfortably seat four or five people.

Upon hearing the noise, a middle-aged man who appeared to be in his forties ca out from one of the wooden houses in the forest.

Zhou Jie introduced him, “This is our local guide and Captain for this trip, Fabio, a very experienced local guide and angler!

Hey!

Fabio, these are my compatriots who will be spending the next few days at our camp!”

Zhou Jie spoke Portuguese and communicated with the locals smoothly, but Yue Feng and the child could only wave their hands with a smile as a greeting.

The composed local guide seed accustod to seeing tourists of all kinds and was quite unfazed!

“What’s the plan for today’s itinerary?” Yue Feng asked, becoming restless after seeing the water and the boat.

He was really eager to cast a few lines on the vast water surface.

Zhou Jie said, “On the first day, take it easy to adjust to the local temperature and the general environnt!

So it’s not recomnded to go too far.

Fabio will take us fishing for Peacock Bass and Piranha, just about a twenty-minute boat ride to a tributary river section.”

“Great!

Let’s get our gear ready and head out!” Yue Feng was already impatient to get started.

“No, before we go, the first thing you need to do is apply full-body sunscreen!

Without getting used to such UV rays, you can easily get sunburned!” Zhou Jie reminded them.

“Oh, right!

We brought a full set of outdoor sunscreen equipnt!

Let’s get changed now!”

Yue Feng responded and returned to the wooden house with the child, fully equipped for the outdoors.

Sun hat, large sunglasses, facecloth, Sunscreen Clothing, and sunscreen pants!

The child was attired similarly, with a skull mask that was the first one Yue Feng had given her.

Having determined the main target species for the first day’s fishing, Yue Feng brought a Lure Rod suited for dium and small fish, as well as Minnows and Sinking pencils that Peacock Bass liked.

He didn’t leave out anything from the toolbox or the box of artificial baits and finally, there was the drone for live streaming.

While on the move, Yue Feng began to give a show of tuning the drone, which was equipped with a built-in Super Strong Signal Source, enabling it to connect to a global network without hindrance.

When the child asked about the network, Yue Feng explained they were using a paid satellite network and indeed, there were no glitches.

Turning on the drone and connecting it to the phone, the phone, which previously had no service provider or network signal, automatically accessed the internet and started the live stream!

“Holy shit, it’s almost evening, and Fengfeng is live?”

“Front row to watch the live stream!

Sofa!”

“Has Fengfeng arrived in the Amazon?

What’s the situation now?”

“When is the host going to challenge the lake monster?”

“Been following the hot search, finally getting to see the host’s face, so handso!”
