Serena drove to the police station but did not see Claire.
She was taken directly to the interrogation room.
The interrogation room is never a good place, and Captain Wang’s attitude towards her was overwhelmingly oppressive.

Recently, she was locked in an abandoned power distribution room at a construction site.

Serena responded smoothly to all of Captain Wang’s questions.
Because she hadn’t actually done it.
Before coming to the police station, she had seen the trending news; although shocked, she had considered it might be Claire’s desperate plan.
After all, Claire was indeed the victim, but she kept putting the perpetrator’s hat on her.
What did Claire’s gang rape have to do with her?
According to Captain Wang, Claire herself accused her.
He said Serena had a personal vendetta with Claire, fighting over a man. Serena first set a trap to bankrupt her company, forcing her to borrow from loan sharks, and then instructed those loan sharks to gang-rape her.
At first glance, it sounded reasonable; however, apart from being the victim and having a sowhat credible testimony, Claire didn’t have any evidence.
"Miss Jennings, after Claire’s bankruptcy, all related assets went under your na. You are President Lockwood’s ex-wife, while Claire has a close relationship with President Lockwood... In such a triangular relationship, you indeed have motive and suspicion."
Serena smiled slightly.
"Captain Wang, since Claire admits that she and I are fighting over the sa man, and after her bankruptcy, her assets were acquired by , then her framing and dragging down is also motivated and suspicious."
Captain Wang seed to have never expected Serena to say that, his eyes widened.

"Claire, I won’t let you die, you’ll be fine... Don’t be afraid, I’m here..."
Caleb Lockwood held Claire tightly.
Serena saw clearly the pain and heartbreak in Caleb Lockwood’s eyes for Claire’s tragic fate... and his anger towards her.
There was a mont when Serena felt her fingertips go cold.
She rembered, just the day before yesterday, Caleb Lockwood personally ca to her office and told her——
He no longer loved Claire.
He had a change of heart.
Watching Caleb Lockwood holding Claire tightly and feeling deeply pained, Serena felt that what she heard the day before yesterday was like a joke.
She turned away in silence.
Behind her was Claire’s heart-wrenching rant:

Serena walked out of the police station and rubbed her ears.

On her drive back to the company, Serena received a call from Ethan White.
"Serena, where are you now?"
"I’m on my way back to the company."
"Don’t go back to the company just yet."
Though Ethan White’s voice remained as gentle and elegant as ever, Serena could still hear a more serious and urgent tone than usual.
"What happened?"
"I’m right at the bottom of your company now, there’s soone causing trouble there."
Hearing this from Ethan White, Serena wasn’t surprised.
Claire’s desperate act was so convincingly perford; besides stirring sympathy from Caleb Lockwood, wasn’t it ant to lead to cyberbullying?
The bigger the commotion, the better, even hiring people to cause a scene at her company.
"Alright, I’ll go to the city museum for a walk then! Maybe I can find inspiration for a new series."
On the other end of the call, Ethan White was montarily stunned.

Serena let out a light chuckle.

As Serena drove to the city museum, Caleb Lockwood was escorting Claire slowly out of the hospital.
Claire looked like a fragile object.
