Orion inwardly groaned, ’She wouldn’t let this go anyti soon, right?’
[I told you, Master! This Dragon-Cow is nothing good! Hmph.]
’Anyways, let try and see what I can get from the Ascended Draws.’ He quickly changed the topic as the system interface once again appeared in front of him.
Orion shook his head slightly, smiling wryly at the banter unfolding within his Sea of Consciousness between Lumi and Asteraxa. Their spirited exchanges were becoming increasingly common, and he was gradually getting accustod to their endless squabbles.
Eventually, their argunt simred down, a brief silence settling over Orion’s mind. Sensing the pause, Lumi energetically cleared her non-existent throat, her voice filled with eager anticipation.
[Master~! Should Lumi proceed with your Ascended Draw now? Confirm one last ti!]
Orion nodded calmly, leaning back comfortably on his bed as excitent gently surged within him. He stared thoughtfully at the floating system interface hovering before him, Lumi’s adorable kaomoji face blinking expectantly.
’Yes, let’s go ahead, Lumi. Start the first draw,’ he answered softly, anticipation clearly audible in his steady voice.
Lumi giggled mischievously, excitent bubbling clearly through her tone.
[Ehehe, Master~! Hold on just a sec! Let Lumi set the mood first! (。•̀ᴗ-)✧]
Orion raised an eyebrow curiously. "Set the mood? What are you—"
Before he could finish, energetic and cheerful music suddenly began playing inside his Sea of Consciousness, a lively, upbeat gacha-style lody filled with anticipation and excitent.
[Hehe, doesn’t this get you excited as usual, Master? Perfect BGM for your draws! Alright, here goes the first one! (≧▽≦)]
Orion’s lips twitched slightly in amusent, yet he couldn’t deny the music enhanced the already charged atmosphere as always.
The system screen flashed brightly as a vivid roulette animation began spinning rapidly, colors and items blurring together.
Orion leaned forward slightly, his eyes narrowed intently as the roulette gradually slowed, finally settling on a shining, brilliantly golden vial of liquid.
His eyes imdiately widened, surprise and excitent surging within his chest. Displayed clearly across the screen was the item’s description:
[Supre Grade Physique Recreation Liquid]
Orion’s breath caught in his throat, heart thundering softly in his chest. This elixir was undoubtedly familiar, yet clearly superior to what he’d previously received—this was unmistakably an upgraded form of the Legendary-grade Physique Reconstruction Liquid he got last ti.
’Lumi,’ Orion finally murmured softly, voice holding a hint of astonishnt, ’This is an upgraded version, isn’t it? A Supre Grade Physique Recreation Liquid... did Echo leave this specifically for ?’
Lumi’s voice was equally surprised and delighted as she responded, her excitent radiating clearly into Orion’s Sea of Consciousness.
[Yes, Master! You’re exactly right! This Supre Grade Physique Recreation Liquid is far superior to your earlier Legendary-grade version! Echo must’ve personally ensured this reward was included, probably to help you overco the lasting foundation damage. Hehe~ He sure loves to play the mysterious benefactor, doesn’t he?]
Orion softly shook his head, ’We are not sure if this will work or not. First, we don’t know if the liquid will work without another catalyst like a Bloodline. Second, I can’t begin to imagine the absurd amount of energy required to consu this Physique Recreation Liquid.’
Asteraxa’s voice echoed inside his Sea of Consciousness,
[If you plan to take this treasure, then you better be prepared for your funeral. I feel like this treasure is on the sa level as I was at my peak. And if that’s true, then you can’t find enough energy to feed it even if you empty the entire Small Chilicosm.]
Orion solemnly nodded his head and put away the liquid inside his inventory. ’I don’t plan on using it just yet. I’m not desperate enough to gamble with my life right now.’
After a brief mont of contemplation, Orion’s eyes sparkled once again, anticipation returning as he ntally commanded Lumi, ’Alright, let’s proceed. Second Ascended Draw, please.’
Lumi laughed cheerfully once more, imdiately restarting the catchy gacha music within Orion’s Sea of Consciousness.
[Here we goooo~! Lumi’s lucky gacha pull, second round! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧]
Again, the dazzling roulette animation rapidly spun, colors and treasures blurring enticingly before slowly easing to a stop—this ti landing on a shimring, bone-white vial filled with viscous amber liquid.
A gentle glow of draconic aura subtly emanated from it, hinting at its powerful nature. The item’s detailed description quickly appeared beneath:
[Rare Grade Drakebone Marrow Elixir]
Orion carefully read the details, his eyebrows lifting slightly in amazent at the description:
[Crafted ticulously from the marrow of an Ancient Draconian Beast. This elixir contains highly potent essence, capable of dramatically accelerating the evolutionary processes of any draconic bloodline, massively reducing the ti required to complete crucial physical transformations.]
His eyes brightened significantly, excitent surging strongly within him. This elixir seed tailor-made for him—a perfect aid for accelerating the slow process of his draconic evolution.
’Shit, this is peak! This is what I needed right now.’ Orion excitedly thought to himself while holding the vial in his hand. ’After my recent evolution, I was feeling empty inside—as if it would take decades or centuries to reach my second evolution.’
However, just as he moved to examine it more thoroughly, the system gently flashed an additional warning:
[Current Physique Status: Unsuitable for imdiate consumption. Requires further strengthening and healing of host’s physique and foundation to safely absorb elixir properties without damage.]
Orion exhaled slowly, a hint of disappointnt briefly passing through him before swiftly transforming into determination.
Carefully storing the precious Drakebone Marrow Elixir safely into his inventory, he resolved silently to fix his damn foundation as quickly as possible.
Sensing his emotions, Lumi gently consoled him, her voice warm and reassuring:
[Don’t worry, Master! I’m sure we can find a way to solve your foundation problem. Nothing much is wrong with you, only your mana channels are damaged... the soul is destabilized... the Sea of Consciousness is dispersing mana... and your... affinity runes are destroyed... well shit. (︶︹︺)]
Orion bitterly smiled as Lumi recited all the things currently wrong with his body. Shaking his head slightly, he said, ’Well, don’t worry. We’ll find a way. Grandma should be back in a few days with hopefully a solution to my mana channels. Once that is fixed, I can form my affinity runes and spells again.’
Asteraxa’s calm voice echoed out,
[Yes, he already has more than enough resources to slowly heal himself back up, even if he can’t do it right away. And your battle strength should be about the sa as before, despite your weakened state due to the Fifth Level of Body Refinent as well as the strong Draconic Physique.]
Orion nodded his head and dropped back on the bed, ’Yes, I’m not worried about my battle strength just yet. I’m wondering more about what I would tell Grandma and Grandpa about everything.’
[How much have you decided to reveal by now?]
Asteraxa curiously asked.
Orion stroked his chin, ’Well, I’ll tell them about being a True Thunder Dragon and True Fire Dragon, but I’m not sure if I should reveal the Emperor part. I’m not sure how they will take it, or if they’ll even believe it. Next, I’m considering telling them about Lumi, so they’ll know where I get all my treasure from for the shop.’
’I know they haven’t asked about it, but that’s because they trust enough. I don’t know for how long I can stretch it. Either I tell them about her or...’ he trailed off at the end, as his words were clear.
He would either tell them about her or make up an impeccable excuse that they wouldn’t be able to see through.
Asteraxa and Lumi got silent, as they didn’t want to interfere with Orion’s decision about this.
Just then, he rembered sothing as he remarked, ’Oh, and Uncle Edgar will return tomorrow. Maybe it’s ti I make a trip to the academy to see how everyone’s holding up.’
