*Ka-Ting, Ka-Ting, Ka-Ting… Ka-Ting, Ka-Ting, Ka-Ting… Click!*

"Hello?"

"Fucking finally. I'm pleading with you to introduce the concept of cellular phones to the rest of the citizens in the white city." Abaddon sighed.

Azrael blinked a few tis as if he weren't even sure how Abaddon acquired his number.

"…You called ."

"Yes."

"You never call ."

"Always kind of slips my mind I guess..?"

"This must be important. Am I about to be pulled sowhere to observe a particularly cruel death?"

"Do I look like I'm going to be running off to kill anyone any ti soon?" Abaddon tilted his cara a bit so that he could show that his head was currently resting on a pillow.

"Are you attempting to show this as if it would prove anything to ? I am aware that you can be in more than two places at once."

"You make sound so all-powerful. It's flattering."

"As if your heads needed to get any bigger, Eldest."

Abaddon didn't know when Azrael started taking all these shots at him but he was going to let it go because he was in such a good mood tonight.

"Make your unfunny jokes later. For now, I just need you to take to your sister." Abaddon revealed. "You should make sure that all of your siblings are there too."

"So much work…"

"Don't get snippy with . If they'd get cell phones this would all be over in a few short monts."

"Ugh, fine…"

Abaddon watched Azrael move so quickly that the phone couldn't accurately capture his movents.

In two blinks of an eye, Abaddon saw Azrael standing in a familiar white room and talking with soone just out of sight.

"Sister. Eldest is-"

"What have I told you about knocking, brother? I could have been in a state of undress."

"But you are not."

"That certainly isn't the point."

Azrael was a bit slow on the concept of nudity and personal sha.

Whenever he arrived at the scene of a death to bring a deceased adult to the golden gates, they almost always ca up to heaven naked.

Around 4,000 years ago, the angel faction finally started wearing clothing to preserve their modesty and Azrael was the absolute last one to get on board with the program.

"I ca here at the behest of the Eldest." he continued.

"And where is he?"

"On the phone." Azrael pointed.

Once again, the cara shifted and this ti the world went dark.

"Hello?"

"Take the phone down from your ear, Uriel…" Abaddon sighed in annoyance as he rubbed his brow.

The archangel put the phone down, but she did so at an awkward angle that made it look like she had two chins instead of one.

"…You look very pretty, cousin."

"Aww, thank yo- What was that flash??"

Abaddon took a screenshot. "Nothing."

"Why don't I believe you? Your voice sounds suspicious!"

Abaddon was already sending the photo to his sisters. "You're just being paranoid."

Maybe it was for the best that Uriel never understood how to work cellular technology. It would have deprived him of monts like this.

"Did you have to make speak to you through this contemptible contraption for you to complint , Eldest?"

"I wouldn't have to resort to this thod if you would get with the tis, Uriel."

The archangel said sothing in Enochian that roughly translated to 'Over my dead body'.

Abaddon smiled wryly. "It just so happens that such an outco is exactly what I wanted to speak to you about... Please, summon your siblings."

Uriel was surprised to hear Abaddon's tone change so suddenly.

"Give just a mont."

-

Five minutes later, Abaddon was staring at a cacophony of angels all clamoring to fit their faces into one cara fra.

Ordinarily, he would've taken a mont to laugh about that. But today, that just felt in poor taste.

"It turns out that your brothers... they may not be as dead as we thought."

The commotion that ensued nearly blew the speakers out of Azrael's phone. But without a doubt, the loudest among them all was Uriel.

"Don't joke, Abaddon! Lailah ca here just a short while ago and inford us of their demise! Was she wrong or not?" Uriel's emotions were already beginning to bubble up in a big way.

"She was uninford. Lucifer's son has dominion over his and Michael's souls and he can temporarily restore them as soldiers with all of their original strength intact."

Uriel and her siblings looked rightfully horrified. Abaddon could hardly even say he blad them.

"Put the word out to the other pantheons. They should prepare to receive more of my n to protect them for the ti being."

Raphael took the phone from Uriel's hand. Abaddon didn't tell him that he could see far too much of his nostril.

"This is all a great big ss, cousin. Any chance you have so good news for us? Like you've found where this monster is hiding?"

Abaddon didn't say anything. Truthfully, he was going to tell the angels about Percival's involvent with Chaos. But now he was certain that would only put them more on edge.

"...Here's what I can tell you for now. Sleep in your father's throne room for the night."

The word 'what' was exclaid six different tis in unison.

"Please, don't ask any questions for now. Splinters of my army will be arriving within the hour, and they already know their orders, so you don't need to stand over them. Just do what I tell you."

The unyielding firmness in Abaddon's voice left little to no room for argunts.

Even though his extended family trusted him imnsely, they still needed more of an explanation than what he was giving. And he couldn't bla them for that.

"I'll arrive for you at first light. Please, be patient with until then." He pleaded.

The suspicious looks of the angels didn't subside, but they at least nodded in agreent for now.

And that was about the best that Abaddon could ask for right now.

-

Izanami was in Abaddon's closet. Looking for sothing to pilfer as every other female mber of his imdiate family did.

Despite her earlier bluster about 'already being dressed to spend the night with him, Izanami wasn't actually so bold as to sleep naked beside everyone when she had yet to even go on a proper date with them.

All of the other fun stuff was going to have to wait until later.

'Fun stuff..? What is coming over ...' Izanami wouldn't admit it to herself, but those earlier shower escapades weren't leaving her mind quite as quickly as she would've liked.

She was probably going to be thinking about it all night long if she were honest.

"Having so trouble?"

Izanami looked over her shoulder and found Eris standing in the doorway.

She was holding a drowsy K'ael in her arms and wearing a purely white nightgown that was the pure opposite of being sinful.

Eris looked like an angel.

She was radiant, pure, and as gentle as a flower petal fallen to the earth.

Izanami had been with Eris and Abaddon for over a thousand years. (In her dream.)

And yet, as she looked at her now, it was almost as if she had never seen her outside of a parka before.

For so reason, Eris smiled as she began walking towards her.

She held up one of her hands and revealed herself to be holding a small tissue.

Izanami didn't budge an inch as Eris took the liberty of wiping the bloody nose that she didn't even realize she had gotten.

"...Am I supposed to take this as a complint?" Eris asked faintly.

Izanami pinched herself to hopefully force her nerves back under her control. "I won't say that it isn't, but I do wish that I could give you so sweeter words instead of just dirtying your tissue."

Eris found Izanami's honesty to be quite cute. She cupped the face of the Shinto goddess and smiled at her tenderly.

"It is a good thing I already know of what you wish to say. And I am more touched than even I can say."

"That's.. unfair." After everything, Izanami had honestly forgotten about what was the most difficult part of falling for a love deity.

They always seed to have the emotional upper hand.

"Should I help you pick sothing?"

Eris moved past Izanami and went rooting through one of Abaddon's dressers.

She pulled out an oversized shirt with the face of a familiar, iconic man and a familiar red 'A' beside his photograph.

"I suppose this will be the true test of Abaddon's feelings for ." Izanami chuckled. "His Nick Saban shirt is more valuable to him than his wedding rings."

"And for that reason, I consider burning it every day." Eris sighed.

*Burp!*

Unprovoked, K'ael let out a small belch that produced a shower of orange sparks.

Both girls seed surprised and let out small giggles in unison.

"He's… very smart, isn't he?" Izanami smiled.

"Indeed he is.." Eris mused. "I think there'll be quite the buzz when everyone ets him tomorrow."

No one knew that K'ael was Caelum reincarnated. Everyone wanted to give the boy a fresh, new start.

"Are you… sure you want to spend the night with us tonight of all tis..?" Eris suddenly asked. "I fear it may not be as glamorous as you may be thinking."

Izanami was surprised that Eris would ask that. She found the question almost funny.

"Honestly… I haven't wanted anything more for a long ti now." She smiled. "You couldn't keep out of your bed if you tried."
