Chapter 1130: Caught Up

“ABADDONNNNN!!!!!”

A great forest trembled with rage as a red blur wove between the towering trees.

The blur’s twin colored eyes glowed with their respective colors right before the world turned black and white. As if a new layer of reality had been erected in secret.

The new plane was filled with quiet. It was uniquely disconnected from the noise of its original template.

Here, the laws of physics were put on pause and their control was given over to one single individual.

That ant that what was hidden and what was visible was also subject to all of his whims and direction.

A being of yellow suddenly appeared within the black and white domain.

It was utterly unlike any other life form in creation. The best way to describe it would be an angelic, otherworldly angel sculpture. It was both living and unliving at the sa ti.

It’s wings propelled its massive body around as it looked for an exit to the domain it had been trapped in.

Suddenly, it turned its head up toward the sky, where a large supernova was approaching at devastating speed.

“ABADDONNNN!!!!”

“You said that already, Hastur.”

The supernova slamd into the body of the angelic creature and created a devastating explosion that razed the fabricated forest to the ground in less than a second.

Ash fell from the sky like new snow.

Hastur’s body was burned all over, with the flas that had razed him still not dying out even after several seconds.

His cries of anguish were guttural and unnatural. They, like him, were absolutely grotesque.

He felt movent across his scorched chest.

From the flas, a single figure erged and stared down at Hastur with cold, calculating eyes.

The horror was less than pleased.

“You are a blight! A wretch! A cheat! This power is not of our world! It is a lie!”

Abaddon tilted his head.

“Well, you’re sort of right. Still, what a roundabout way to admit you’re a sore loser.”

“You incorrigible, feckless, diseased-”

“Rude.”

Abaddon increased the amount of pressure on Hastur’s body until he was on the verge of popping like an overfilled water balloon.

The complaints and cries of Hastur only beca louder.

“Takeeee … THISSSS!!”

There was a large boom as a platinum-haired rocket rushed to the side of Hastur’s head and kicked him in the ear as hard as she possibly could.

“And this! And so of that! You better learn how to watch! Your! Fucking! Mouth!”

It is a subject of intense debate whether or not older, pureblood eldritch horrors can feel pain in the sa way that lesser life forms do.

If scholars were able to perceive this mont, they would no longer harbor any doubts about whether or not their pain receptors worked.

Abaddon was pretty sure he saw Hastur cry.

Zahara wiped her brow of sweat after a job well done and looked up at Abaddon while giving him a thumbs up.

“Great team effort, handso. Dynamic duo doesn’t have shit on us.”

He could only smile at her helplessly.

Suddenly, the surface he was standing on beca a mass of brightly colored light.

It shot toward the sky where Ayaana held an open jar sucking in their captive.

When all of Hastur was inside, she clasped a lid over the jar and screwed it on tight.

“Team effort, huh? You’re both very cute.”

Ayaana slowly floated down to the ground to et her partners.

“I think the lion’s share should go to . Ain’t no way you beautiful little idiots would have figured out Hastur was hiding in Dola all by yourselves.”

Zahara stood on her tiptoes to whisper in Abaddon’s ear.

“Did she just call us idiots..?”

“Yeah, and then threw beautiful in there like that was supposed to make it all better…” Abaddon whispered back.

Ayaana threw her body at her partners and made them catch her.

“What are you two sexy ignoramoses over here whispering about?”

“”…She literally just did it again…””

Ayaana kissed them both deeply and then held up the jar between their faces.

“Job well done, my babies. Gotta say, it took more ti for us to find him than I thought it would. But then again, sticking with his the of hiding in obvious places, it was a bit of a given we’d find him lurking beside the world tree.”

Abadon took the jar from Ayaana and stared into it. The yellow colored energy turned a wrathful red at the sight of him.

“It’s unfortunate that he was smart enough to only hide his main body here… tracking down his acolytes may require a bit more travel, but I’m sure he’ll be nice enough to tell us where we can find them before we reunite him with goat.”

Ordinarily, Hastr would have used every word in the thesaurus to tell Abaddon to fuck off and die. But the ntion of his eternal mate had effectively silenced him.

Getting what you want inside the nightmare realm is designed to be next to impossible.

But Abaddon was warden of the plane. Surely, if he wanted, he could find a way to make sure that Hastur and his beloved not only stayed together, but were also unable to lose each other.

That single hypothesis burned away all of Hastur’s hostility. Sothing Abaddon easily noticed.

“Hmph.”

Abaddon put away the jar and dismissed the fabricated realm he had created.

Once they were back in the outside world, Zahara stretched happily.

*Yawn* “Job well done, team.”

“”Excuse ?”” Abaddon and Ayaana were imdiately offended.

“I an beloved husband and wife.”

“Damn right you do.” Ayaana pinched her butt.

“A-Anyway, we should do a little bit more sightseeing. Before we head back. Just for a bit of nostalgia’s sake?”

Ayaana smiled curtly. “You want to visit a club, don’t you?”

“Only because I want to get drunk and throw a little ass.” Zahara said matter-of-factly.

“Well, as long as you’re being honest.” Ayaana shrugged.

“So we can go??” Zahara’s eyes sparkled with hope.

“Well…”

Ayaana looked towards their husband, as if she was gauging his reaction.

He smiled at the both of them halfheartedly.

“You both have fun. I’m going ho to see the kids and take our little prisoner sowhere comfortable.”

Ayaana and Zahara seed slightly surprised by his answer.

Abaddon pulled his cloak over himself as he opened up a portal ho.

“Take so pictures for .”

He was about halfway through the gateway when Zahara suddenly grabbed him by the wrist.

When he looked back at her, her round eyes were deeply inquisitive.

“Are you… alright?”

The corner of Abaddon’s mouth twitched briefly. Zahara thought she had accidentally hit a nerve.

“You’ve been a little more reserved the last couple of days, so I was wondering if maybe…”

“I’m… hopeful.” He finally said.

That answer surprised her even more.

Abaddon kissed her cheek again and turned back to the portal.

He had nearly stepped through it when he paused again and held out his hand.

“Oh, take these.”

Two small creatures made of swirling shadow appeared in Abaddon’s palm.

When they saw Ayaana and Zahara, the critters showed them innocent smiles filled with sharp teeth.

They lunged into the girls’ shadows while letting out a surplus of happy little giggles.

“These are..?”

“Bodyguards. Anyone stares at you too long, they’ll have their nervous system eaten.” Abaddon stepped into the portal while waving the girls goodbye. “Have fun!”

When the opening closed, the wives were still busy blinking away their surprise.

“I… guess he’s fine?” Ayaana finally said.

Zahara was inclined to think so as well. However, even if Abaddon wasn’t necessarily distraught, he clearly had sothing on his mind.

She just couldn’t figure out what that thing was.

Abaddon stepped into his ho only to be imdiately confronted.

He was surprised to find Asherah sitting on the couch in a polite position with her hands folded in her lap.

At her feet, Odessa and K’ael were drawing pictures on her white dress.

Abaddon wasn’t sure what part of this scene he was supposed to address first.

“I believe those are yours.”

Asherah pointed to the corner of the room where Gulban and Yggdrasil were chained together eating cereal for so reason…

“I may be old, but I promise you I am not so incapable of taking care of myself that I need you all to send these two as housemates.”

“Hey! What the fuck’s wrong with us?!” Yggdrasil complained.

“Yeah! Every ti I turn around, soone’s always trying to get rid of !” Gulban complained.

“Are you seeing my problem now?” Asherah ignored them.

Abaddon could only hold up his hands in surrender.

“I promise, we ant no disrespect. Though granted, sending Yggdrasil might’ve been a little much.”

“I’m not taking any more disrespect around here! Next person to say sothing out of line is going to watch pop a squat and piss on their bed like that possessed bitch from the exorcist!” Yggdrasil snapped.

‘…Yeah, definitely a little much.’ Abaddon sighed.

Asherah narrowed her man eyes at Abaddon.

“Tell … where exactly have you been?”

tis the season motherfuckers. it’s so cold outside my mom almost broke my neck when I sent her a picture of my daughter without a hat or a big coat on
