Chapter 1092: She Lives, So Do I

Seras couldn’t see anything. Her vision was stained a deep, undying red.

But she could feel everything.

All of the misery in the multiverse was roaring within her ears, grating across the surface of her skin.

It was all too loud. Too uncomfortable.

Seras could feel herself crying. She didn’t know why, though, as it was so unlike her.

Her mind felt fragnted. She couldn’t rember what she was doing even three seconds in the past.

If she stopped and started to think about what had happened to lead her to this mont, Seras knew that sothing bad would co out of it.

Her ntal state just wasn’t strong enough to bear the burden.

She wanted the irritation and the noise to stop. So she lashed out as her body was accustod to doing.

It was the only thing that felt right, even though her entire world was on fire.

She felt herself get stabbed, but she didn’t care to fight back or avoid it.

As she expected, the pain was nothing compared to how she felt inside. She didn’t even notice it.

Everything was a blur. Her emotions were turbulent.

She was angry, sick, disgruntled, and tired all at once.

Her brain felt like it was overheating. A rolling heat settled in her gut like an infection.

She was diseased. Broken. And she couldn’t see the end.

All she could see was red.

Fighting had lost it’s value for Anarchy.

There was nothing to fight for. This was her new life now. This was her new state of being.

And she didn’t even care enough to change it.

But then, her world of red was intruded upon by gold. And Seras felt a sense of relief from the pain.

Sotis, Abaddon was envious of the egoless as they were. But he wouldn’t tell that to anybody because of how shaful and weak it sounded.

When you are an Egoless, you are a blank slate.

You don’t feel joy or humor. There is no warmth or affection.

But that also ans you don’t feel sad or angry. Living can’t break you. Circumstances can’t trouble you.

For Abaddon, who had always struggled with a great and dreadful anger, being a blank slate seed enviable.

Then, he wouldn’t have to regret the things he did in anger. He wouldn’t doubt his ability to be an effective leader.

But on that day, Abaddon got a glimpse of what it was like to hold no emotion. To have no regard for the violence he caused.

Had he not been able to focus on Percival through so major miracle, there was no telling what he could have done to his friends. The gods he was supposed to protect.

Abaddon was that lost. He was an out-of-control gun.

A hole was missing from his very soul. And with that large gap in his chest, all that filled it was a blind, mindless rage.

Slamming into Percival filled him with such an imnse satisfaction that he almost felt whole. But then the mont passed, and he was hollow again. He knew he needed to make it permanent.

If Percival were gone forever, then Abaddon would be better off. He wouldn’t be so fucked up.

Abaddon channelled all of his power into his mouths before the shot. He wanted to make sure there was no chance of Percival surviving.

Then maybe he could get back to being himself. Hopefully.

Abaddon felt sothing squirming in his chest, but he ignored it. Nothing about it was real.

His prior battles with insanity had left him reluctant to trust his own senses. He couldn’t handle getting his hopes up.

When his flas connected with sothing, they exploded on contact.

Soon, the entire space between the realms was bathed in fla and thunder. It created a nigh-unchecked calamity.

Amidst the flas, Abaddon floated on his back as if he were in a dream.

His eyes were listless and unfocused, their red and purple glow overwhelming.

Tears of blood ran down his face, but burned up in the heat almost as quickly as his body could produce them.

He didn’t move, and he didn’t further pursue a fight. This was what he wanted, from now until the end of eternity.

A burning nothingness of his own design.

He closed his eyes to begin a long dream, when he saw a sea of shadowy figures rushing towards him.

A wall of fla rose up to ward them off. He had already shut when one of the figures burst through as if it were nothing.

Nothing was going to wake Abaddon up now. He may as well have been dead.

The mont was as good as over when he suddenly felt the oddest, most disturbing feeling that a humanoid man could experience.

Two slender fingers went straight up his nose and tickled his brain. He woke up imdiately and scread.

“Bekka! I told you I hate it when you-”

Ti seed to stop in that mont.

Abaddon was floating, a stunned look on his face and two slender fingers up his nose.

She was across from him. With one arm, she held Seras, and in the other, she used her fingers to tickle the inside of his face.

Her smile was there. It was bright and glittery with perfect pearly whites bearing slightly nefarious points.

She was everything he rembered and more. He shut his eyes tightly, so convinced that she was no more than a dream.

“Honey, the realms are burning. I need you to pull it together or we’re going to have so very upset world trees in our laps…”

The flas were imdiately extinguished. Abaddon’s eyes snapped open once again; their glow diminished.

Abaddon could see things more clearly now. Things like the flutter of her hair, and the scene of Seras crying as she buried her face in her neck.

Valerie was also with her, hugging her from behind and crying harder than he had ever seen before.

He could also feel Bekka circling them. Her emotions were so turbulent that she couldn’t keep her form together.

Abaddon could hear her sniffling, though…

With all of the evidence presented to him, Abaddon couldn’t deny the things he saw.

The tears that stread from his face were no longer red; they were a crystalline gold.

He bit his lip to stop it from trembling as he reached out to touch her.

Even his hand had the shakes. Eris felt her heart clench at the sight.

A tear fell from her own eyes as her voice cracked.

“I’m here… I’m here, and I’m not leavin-”

“DIEEE!!!!”

Abaddon was suddenly tackled by a very fast and very hostile figure, separating him from Eris.

Abaddon felt his nose crack as a series of headbutts repeatedly slamd into his nose.

Abaddon could see flashes of a small Caucasian figure, with green eyes, and blonde hair. He knew instantly who was attacking him and why.

And even if he couldn’t see her, the long string of nonsensical profanity was instantly recognizable.

“Shitty dragon! You and your shitty fucking sons, always setting on fucking fire whenever the fuck you feel like it! I’m not taking that shit anymore! I’ll beat all of you scaly motherfuckers back into the Stone Age! It’s ti sobody brought you big winged cunts to heel! I’m not playing with you bitches anymore!

No more Ms. Nice Yggdrasil! I’ll pull out your fucking intestines and wrap them around your neck like a god damn collar and walk you big bitches like the dogs you are! Fuck you! Fuck your face, Fuck your hair! Fuck your firebreath! Fuck your sons, too! And your fat nose Uncle Satan, that dyslexic twat waffle!

We better not have this conversation again, do you understand ?! I don’t give a shit how old you are! I’ll go back in ti, fuck your dad, beco your new mom, and na you Shit-Stick!

You see these scorch marks?? These don’t just co out, you big bitch! Now I’m going to sll like smoke for the next 300,000 years, all because you don’t know how to aim! I’d hate to see what your bathroom floor looks like, you fucking dipshit!”

Abaddon was too stunned to do anything.

Not just because Yggdrasil was slamming her forehead into his nose. But because he had just seen Eris.

She was real. He could touch her, he could sll her.

And when he looked past the raging kindergartner assaulting him, he could see her horrified gaze as Yggdrasil continued to assault him.

He couldn’t believe it. His wife was alive. He hadn’t lost her.

A low chuckle escaped Abaddon’s throat.

This slowly changed into a loud, raucous laugh that Yggdrasil didn’t understand. She was also slightly concerned.

“Holy fuck, I made him a r****d…”

Abaddon suddenly grabbed Yggdrasil by the face and pressed their foreheads together. His excited eyes bored into her concerned ones.

“She’s alive… my wife is alive!!”

“Jesus fucking Christ, I hope this isn’t permanent…”

Abaddon suddenly wrapped Yggdrasil in a massive hug. She was one of the few beings he could do so to without crushing.

As he hugged her and laughed, tears continued to fall from his face.

They stained her white dress and soaked into her skin.

As soon as the sacred water touched her, Yggdrrasil shivered and her face beca slightly drunken.

“Holy fuck, that’s the good stuff right there… Yeah, more, more…”

Yggdrasil suddenly started rubbing Abaddon’s back to further coax him through this emotional mont. To no one’s surprise, her motives were entirely selfish.

“There, there… let it all out, you giant fucking pussy…”

Needless to say, when Abaddon finally ca back to his senses, he perford a level of child abuse that not even his drug addict parents had ever attempted on him.

Please do not think little of Yggdrasil. she’s very old and hasn’t learned how to refer to neurodivergent people in this day and age

my granny has the sa problem tbh. I’m still working on her.
