257 He liked her a lot
Xie Yunjin found himself eager to explain, “Though she’s strong, she’s not unreasonable. She’s very moral.”
Classmate Han agreed and nodded, “It’s true. Lady Lu isn’t soone who stirs up trouble unreasonably. As long as Yunjin doesn’t provoke her, she wouldn’t hit him.”
Then, classmate Han thought of how Xie Yunjin hit Liang Ziwen because of his vulgar language towards Lu Jiao.
They all knew Liang Ziwen was not a good person to ss with, yet Yunjin couldn’t stop himself from hitting him. This ant Yunjin loved Lu Jiao a lot.
Classmate Han chuckled and said to Xie Yunjin, “Plus, Yunjin loves his wife. He would willingly take a beating from her.”
Everyone at the table quieted down and then all looked toward Xie Yunjin.
Xie Yunjin grew shy imdiately and he angrily glared at classmate Han, “What are you talking about?”
Classmate Han laughed, “What’s there to be embarrassed about? It’s normal to like your own wife. It’s not like you’re expressing love for soone else. Plus, to be with the person you like is a very fortunate thing.”
Most of them got married according to their parents’ wishes. Very few actually got to marry the person they liked. Yunjin was lucky.
All the n at the table nodded and raised their glasses to congratulate Xie Yunjin.
“Congratulations, Yunjin. You have a great wife.”
“With a wife like that, your future is bright.”
“You may get lots of beating in the future though, haha.”
Xie Yunjin’s ears grew red from everyone’s teasing. His emotions ran wild and he recalled just how curious he was when Liang Ziwen said those things to Lu Jiao. At the ti, all he wanted was to beat that guy to death.
The mory of Liang Ziwen made his eyes go dark. The coldness around him dissipated. He didn’t plan on forgiving that man.
Then, he thought of all the teasing today.
He liked Lu Jiao?
He knew he liked Lu Jiao sowhat but he always thought he only liked her a little. After today, he seed to have realized that he liked her more than just sowhat.
After the group ate, they chatted for a while longer. After that, Zheng Zhixing and the others went back ho with their wives and children.
Classmate Han was the only one who stayed behind. Xie Yunjin took him to his study so they could have so tea and chat.
Classmate Han warned Xie Yunjin again to watch out for Liang Ziwen.
“He’s evil. You have to be careful. You never know what he’s plotting.”
Xie Yunjin’s eyes lowered and he said solemnly, “I will.”
“Should I hire so people to guard you? Just in case he chooses violence against your family.”
Xie Yunjin shook his head, “That’s okay. I’m not going to just sit here and wait for his attack.”
He then looked towards classmate Han, “Let’s stop talking about him. It’s putting in a bad mood.”
It felt like Xie Yunjin had an idea of what he planned to do next. Therefore, classmate Han didn’t bring up that man again.
He changed the subject to Lu Jiao, “Lady Lu was truly heroic for beating up Liang Ziwen.” He chuckled and then added, “You have to be careful now. If you make Lady Lu angry, you’ll get a beating too. Even if you do get beat up, however, I’m sure you’ll act like you’ve had honey because you like her.”
He then thought of Du Lanzhu and felt a little frustrated.
The Han and Du families were similar in terms of wealth and they were involved in business together. The Du family only had one daughter, Du Lanzhu. Worried that other n may not treat her well, they chose him.
His family thought Du Lanzhu was a good girl and ordered him to take her as his wife.
He didn’t want to marry Du Lanzhu initially due to her high-maintenance personality. His parents had told him that won were often that way but changed once they get married.
After several years, however, Du Lanzhu remained immature and her asks of him grew even more unreasonable.
Classmate Han decided to have a serious conversation with her tonight.
In the study, Xie Yunjin pondered over classmate Han’s comnt and asked, “Is it that obvious?”
Classmate Han laughed, “Of course. Your face gets ugly when soone, anyone, talks to your wife. When Liang Ziwen made an unsavory comnt, your entire face turned green and you hit him right away.
If you didn’t like Lady Lu, you would’ve remained calm like usual. No matter how much you dislike him, you wouldn’t have hit him.”
Xie Yunjin’s handso face flooded with softness and light practically shone from his eyes.
He soon recalled the divorce letter he wrote Lu Jiao and quieted down.
He had already granted Lu Jiao the separation she wanted. So what if he likes her now?
Xie Yunjin’s mood was so down he didn’t even want to talk anymore.
Then, he rembered that he had dated the letter with a date in six months.
The reason why he did that was to defend his family. He was worried that Lu Jiao might just pack her bags and leave if he sohow made her angry.
Thinking back, even at tis, he was subconsciously trying to keep Lu Jiao. And that was the real reason why he dated the letter for later.
This bought him so ti.
His eyes lit up.
Classmate Han saw the happiness on his face and his heart beca sour. How co everyone else but him got to et a woman they actually liked?
Classmate Han didn’t want to sit here any longer. He said bye to Xie Yunjin.
Xie Yunjin said starting tomorrow, he will begin to teach students from the school and asked Classmate Han to co and study as well.
Classmate Han nodded and went to pick up his sons.
His sons were having so much fun, they disappeared.
Before he could find them, Lu Gui brought them over from the back courtyard, “They seem to be a little tired. My sister tried to get them to take a nap but they refused and looked for you. My sister had no choice but to ask to bring them to you.”
Classmate Han took his sons by their hands and went on his family’s horse carriage.
Behind him, Xie Yunjin stayed in his study and wondered how he could treat his pending divorce.

Today, he discovered that he liked Lu Jiao. It wasn’t just any type of like, it was the type of like where he didn’t want to separate from her or allow her to leave.
But he had given her a divorce letter. Therefore, within the next six months, he had to make Lu Jiao accept him so she wouldn’t leave him or their children.
Xie Yunjin felt like he had a good plan. However, he was worried that Lu Jiao wouldn’t return his feelings. After all, this woman was not the sa Lu Jiao he t and her ways of thinking were often different from other won.
Xie Yunjin pondered over this for a full four hours. In the end, he finally decided to confess his feelings to Lu Jiao.
It didn’t matter if she accepted him or not. He had to make sure she knew how he felt about her.
Xie Yunjin went outside his room once he made up his mind. However, inside the yard, he saw Lu Jiao walk over with Feng Zhi.
Their eyes t and his heart rate shot up. Instantly, he felt so scared he shifted his gaze away.
