Chapter 587: Confront

Fate Professor strode confidently into the room, towering over most at the height of 180cm. His sharp features were accentuated by an oblong face frad by slightly long jet-black hair brushed neatly to the side. A neatly grood hook mustache sat just above his full lips, giving him an air of sophistication. His eyes were his most striking feature: wide-set erald orbs that sparkled with intelligence and wit.

His attire was just as impeccable as his grooming, with a black double-breasted waistcoat that hugged his fra perfectly, accentuating his broad shoulders and lean physique. He wore a pair of elegant Pince-nez glasses that sat perched on his nose, adding a touch of refinent to his already polished appearance. Atop his head sat a black bowler hat, tilted slightly to one side, giving him an air of calm elegance.

Overall, he exuded effortless confidence, charm, and a keen sense of style.

"Thanks for ruining my plan, Charles." Professor's calm voice echoed through the large auditorium hall as he stepped in.

"But who would've thought that your action actually benefitted the most." He paused montarily, noticing the confusion on Charles's face, and chuckled.

"I wasn't worried much about your presence from the very beginning. But the Destiny Conquerors' leader's presence in this city worried the most. Thanks to your interference, she pulled the Demigod Rafael into her separate domain, making this whole city defenceless."

As he spoke, he quietly turned his gaze towards the auburn-haired young woman and raised his eyes.

"A peak fifth-tier [Siren] Class Mystic? What is she doing here-?" Before he could finish his sentence, a strange purple fire appeared deep in his consciousness, erasing his current thought.

Simultaneously, he felt his blood flow suddenly start to slow down. His heart started to ache while his breath grew wild.

He instantly blinked his eyes and muttered.

"Fate Change!"

At that mont, one of the servants swiping the floor outside suddenly grabbed his chest and fell to his knees. Before he could scream for help, all his blood suddenly stopped moving and caused a cardiac arrest.

In the anti, Professor turned his face solemnly and focused his full attention on Anangu.

"Who are you? That's not a fifth-tier spell. I definitely sensed the power of divine in it." He said warily.

Simultaneously, he peered deep into her charming jade eyes and cast a fate-type skill called [Oracle's Insight].

A mont later, a mysterious divine power seeped into Anangu's soul and was about to probe her origin but suddenly disappeared!

'What? My divine spell got nullified?'

"Fate's Favor!" Professor cast his next spell as he instantly knew that the one within the auburn-haired woman was not a human but a Divine Entity!

At that mont, Charles suddenly disappeared from where he stood and reappeared a few feet away from Fate Professor.

Simultaneously, he cast [Soul Shock], [Eye of the Faceless], [Curse of the Overlord], and [Eye of the Runes] skills on Professor.

Professor felt his soul being damaged by a strange fire and instantly backed away.

At the sa ti, he cast [Karmic Balance], causing a wave of energy to wash over the area and restore the balance of fate. The damage to his soul instantly healed, and he regained his composure.

He cast another spell called 'Fate's Shield' and blocked any prying power from entering his soul or consciousness!

"I see," he said with a small smile, looking at Charles.

"You've grown stronger since our last encounter. Legendary Realm, not bad." He paused montarily and then continued,

"But you should know better than to attack directly. I am a Fate-type divine being, after all." With a flick of his wrist, he cast [Wheel of Fortune] spell, causing the auditorium to shake as everyone's fate was altered.

As the stage shook violently, a deep rumbling sound filled the air, signaling the ergence of sothing significant. Suddenly, a stunning sight caught everyone's attention: a mysterious, erald cube-shaped object had appeared in the center of the stage, towering over everyone at about two ters tall. Every inch of the cube's surface was etched with intricate engravings, adding to its enigmatic allure.

With a sharp gaze, Charles imdiately recognized the object as Miracle City's artificial spirit core. The cube hovered effortlessly in mid-air, defying gravity, and radiated a srizing glow.

"They should've hidden the city's core in a much safer place."

Professor said with a smirk and turned his gaze back to Anangu.

"It seems we have a lot to discuss," he said, his eyes sparkling with curiosity and excitent.

"I would be honored to learn more about you and your divine powers, Young Lady."

Anangu remained silent, her expression unreadable as she observed Fate Professor with a watchful eye. She sensed his fate power and decided not to underestimate him.

"I have no interest in discussing my secrets with you," Anangu finally spoke, her voice firm and unwavering. "And I have no intention of letting you get your hands on Miracle City's artificial spirit core."

Fate Professor chuckled, seemingly amused by her response. "You're a confident one, aren't you?" he said, his eyes still fixed on her.

"But do you think you can stop ?"

Saying so, he quietly raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

A mont later, the whole auditorium got enveloped by his 'fate' power.

It was his unique fate domain spell!

Simultaneously, he took a step forward and muttered.

"Accelerate."

The next instant, Charles and Anangu felt Professor's movent speed beco so fast.

Even after activating the [Accelerate Thoughts] skill, Charles barely managed to see his movent and instantly cast the [False Field] spell in advance.

At that mont, Professor took a curved sword from his space ring and sprinted towards Anangu.

At first, he thought of eliminating Charles. But after seeing Anangu's strange blood abilities, he decided not to ss around and beca quite serious.

On the other hand, Anangu calmly raised her hand and cast her bloodline spell.

"Blood Shackle."

Before Professor could arrive close to Anangu, he felt that his whole body went stiff for a mont and almost stumbled.

At that mont, Anangu suddenly leaped forward, took a strange dagger out of nowhere, and thrust it towards his chest.

Upon sensing the danger hidden in that dagger, Professor suddenly curled his lips upward and muttered.

"Twisted Fate."

A mont later, a mysterious force suddenly pulled him away and swapped his position with Charles!

anwhile, Charles went deadly pale.

"Rebirth Domain!" He didn't hesitate and activated his [Rebirth Domain] spell.

As the dagger penetrated his chest, the rebirth domain activated and enveloped the auditorium in a crimson fire.

He left a strange dizziness and a thought process disturbance a second later. Not only that, his body, soul, Inner World, and even his consciousness beca more chaotic.

What shocked him most was that even his other consciousnesses felt strange dizziness and confusion.

While Charles was in the middle of this strange state, Professor suddenly appeared behind him, placed his hand on his back, and muttered.

"Disintegrate."

A mont later, Charles's body was enveloped in a strange black fla and burnt fiercely.

Before long, not even ashes were left behind.

But at that mont, Fate Professor noticed that Charles's soul had disappeared instead of getting disintegrated and beca more confused.

"You think this is ti for you to get distracted?" Anangu spoke.

The next instant, she stepped forward and turned illusionary before disappearing entirely.

It was one of the Wizard's Cube's spells,' Invisible Man!

Although Mateo could only activate one daily due to severe restrictions, Anangu wasn't affected by this restriction.

In the anti, Professor suddenly lost all the information about Anangu. He only rembered talking to Charles and a vague image of another person.

"I killed Charles and confronted this other person, right? But why did I fight him? Moreover, why can't I rember anything about this person? Who is it? Am I under so spell effect?" He couldn't help but mutter.

Simultaneously, he noticed his vision started to blur, followed by hearing loss.

No! He also lost the sense of touch, taste, sll, and even vestibular sense.

"Oh no! I'm in a most vulnerable state right now-"

Before he could finish his sentence, a slashing sound echoed in the hall.

Fate Professor's head slowly fell and rolled on the floor while painting it scarlet.
