Chapter 380: Inscriptions
"Not bad!" A cold reply ca out of the young man's mouth.
On the other hand, Charles felt a strange sense of uneasiness.

First, he cast [Curse of the Overlord] spell and checked where it had so effect on this strange person.
A second later, a look of disappointnt appeared on his face.
But he didn't think further and cast [Accelerate Thoughts] skill on himself.
Then, he opened his palm and conjured an eerie ball of reddish-black fla at an unimaginable speed.
It was the upgraded Rank-4 spell, 'Black Inferno'!
Without any hesitation, he aid it towards the front and tossed it at the young man.
Simultaneously, he cast [Fla Teleportation] spell, enveloped himself in a crimson fla, and disappeared from there!
anwhile, the young man casually moved the spear and tried to pierce through it.
But the [Black Inferno] spell expanded suddenly and exploded while sending reddish-black fla in all directions!
Upon seeing this, his expression changed.
He then retracted his spear, touched the golden armor on his chest, and spoke.
"Aegis!"
A second later, the golden armor expanded while releasing pure white light and enveloped his body like a protective shield.
Even though Charles's [Black Inferno] had the power of Rank-5 spell, those pure white lights blocked all the reddish-black flas and protected him continuously.
On the other hand, the whole sky soon got enveloped in flas and smoke!
Not only that, but balls of black flas descended towards the dense forest and burned everything!
Within seconds, strange shills echoed all over the forest, followed by an eerie dead silence!
The black fla in the sky also disappeared at that mont, leaving a single pure white ball in the sky.
Soon, the young man ca out of the white ball of light and looked around.
Then, he closed his eyes and cast his sub-class skill called, Eyes of an Observer!
The next instant, all the plants, trees, and vines within a 5 km radius started to create creaking noises and ford strange eyelid-like things in the stems, leaves, and even in roots.
Then, those eyelids opened one by one and revealed brilliant red eyes!
All those eyes then searched the surroundings and then closed once again.
On the other hand, the young man let out a deep sigh and flew in a particular direction.
anwhile, Charles reappeared more than 10 km away from the previous battlefield and soon arrived at a large temple's entrance.
Unlike the other do-shaped temples, this one had four black pillars, spires at the back, and a three-ter tall stone wall encircled the whole Temple!
Charles first checked the surroundings and noticed that this Temple was built in the middle of the dense woods.
After confirming no other being was nearby, he shifted his attention towards the tallic entrance gate and soon noticed inscriptions of Paragons' Tongue in the gate.
Although those characters appeared similar, Charles noticed that they were older versions of the Paragons' Tongue.
Not only that, but he also saw many Fars Language characters in those inscriptions.
'It seems it would take so ti for to decipher the content.' He thought to himself.
Even though millenniums passed, no rust appeared on the tallic gate.
Only clouds of dust and sands covered the inscription letters, making it harder for Charles to see them.
Shaking his head, he took a step forward, arrived in front of it, and took out a brush-like material from his space ring.
Without wasting any ti, he removed the dust and started deciphering the content.

As Charles continued to read those lines, he vaguely understood what was going on.
'Unfortunately, this is not the temple I'm looking for.' He shook his head in disappointnt.
'Should I take a look and see if there are so treasures inside?' He muttered inwardly and touched the tallic gate with both hands.
When he was about to open it, his vision blurred again and showed tens of future images.
But unlike the previous ones, these vision images related to a single tiline!
As Charles skimd through the images, he couldn't help but take a few steps back.
'A snake-type Magical Beast is guarding this Temple! Moreover, its strength should be no less than a peak Rank-5 warlock.' A grim look appeared on his face.
'Although I'm confident enough to beat that beast… No, I ca here to get the 'Heart,' not to fool around.' He instantly backed away.
After that, he moved away from the gate and shifted his attention towards the information he got from the young man's consciousness.

Charles visited hundreds of temples for the next few hours but couldn't find the 'Verm' Temple.
While massaging his head, he arrived in front of another Rebirth Temple's entrance and soon noticed a long line of inscriptions appeared in the sidewall.
Out of curiosity, he moved towards the wall, removed the sands and clouds of dust using the brush, and started to decipher.
Soon, he noticed that all these inscriptions had information about other Rebirth Temples!
Thirty minutes later, he deciphered more than 30 paragraphs of those inscriptions and soon froze.
At that mont, he saw 'Verm' Temple's na in the last paragraph.
But as he started to decipher the words, his expression turned stiffened.
'Verm Temple is the main Cathedral of this layer? F*ck! This mission is not going to be a simple one.' He couldn't help but show a bitter smile on his face.
After that, he continued to decipher more words and learned about its exact location.
He learned that the Cathedral was in the deepest part of the western mountain range.
Although the western mountain range was more than 100 km away from where he was standing, he could get there in no ti.
But what worried him most was the information about the Protector of the Cathedral.
The inscriptions ntioned that the Protector of the Cathedral was none other than the Dungeon Guardian itself!
