Chapter 234: Demi-Lich
Rodsley Street, Nobles' District.
At the underground basent hall, Old Mansion.
A white-haired old man sat on the ladder back chair and was looking at an opened notebook.
He wore a simple black robe and appeared to be around 70-years old.
"Hmm, Charles is thinking of enslaving all the corrupted nobles, huh. I wonder if Jessie would agree to this suggestion." Oswald couldn't help but chuckle as he thought of the smart lass among the four disciples.
At that mont, he subconsciously thought of his disciples and felt a bitter feeling.
'Tsk, only 97 years to regain my freedom. But will he really release ?' He felt a deep headache as he thought of Charles's character.

As he was about to stand up, he suddenly felt a spatial fluctuation from his right side and soon squinted his eyes.

One was a black-haired woman, while the other one was an unconscious silver-haired woman.
The black-haired young lady held a silver-haired woman in her hands and was staring at him with a smile.
Oswald stared at her with a dazed face for a whole three seconds and finally snapped out of it.
He soon shifted his attention to the silver-haired woman and opened his mouth subconsciously.
"I rember her… Vivian, is it? How did you kidnap her? Didn't you say that you were going to do a reconnaissance mission?" He stared at the disguised Charles in surprise and shock.
'He left the mansion only two hours ago, but… What did he encounter during such short amount?' He couldn't understand the situation.
anwhile, Charles dropped Vivian on the floor and squatted down. Then, he took out a vintage dicine syringe-like instrunt from his space ring and moved his hand towards her hand.
After that, he skillfully placed the syringe at an intravenous injection angle and extracted a few droplets of blood from her blood vessel.
He then conjured a greenish-blue fla and healed the wounds on her wrist before started explaining.
"I encountered her when I went to Casey's mansion…"
He told him about Ivy's sche and also tossed the soul orb towards him.
On the other hand, Oswald caught the orb and soon frowned.
"Even if you sealed your mories, you shouldn't have made the noticeable mistakes during the last mission. For example, you wouldn't have gone after Vivian without further preparation. Instead, you should have chosen to wait for another opportunity."
At that mont, Charles widened his eyes and soon blurted out.
"Imagination!" He clearly rembered this manipulative power and got stunned for a mont.
'That artifact's dream abilities are sure is troubleso.' He couldn't help but show a bitter look on his face.
Then, he shook his head and asked.
"What about this orb? Is it okay to use?"
anwhile, Oswald checked the soul orb for a while, nodded his head, and returned it to Charles.

On the other hand, Charles swiftly caught the orb, shifted his attention to the strange syringe, and directly injected a small amount of blood into his vein.
The next instant, he felt sharp pain appeared from all over his body, followed by a clear image of Vivian!

After that, he received important information about her exact body size, shape, weight, height, etc.

Charles then placed his hand over Vivian's chest and cast [Fire Seed] spell on her.

'She is 364 years old lady. Hmm, it will take more than a day to completely burn all of her mories.' He nodded thoughtfully and focused his full attention on the spell.
At that mont, Oswald stood up from his seat, went near him, and asked.
"Are you going after the skeleton first?"
"From Vivian's mories, I can confirm that skeleton is a Rank-5 Mystic. Going up against such a powerful figure is a suicidal idea. I don't want to die." Charles firmly shook his head.
At that mont, Oswald suddenly paused for a mont and spoke with a mysterious smile on his face.
"I think Vivian, her teacher, and all of them are currently scamd by this skeleton."
Charles's eyebrows rose as he heard those words from Oswald.
Upon noticing his gaze, the white-haired old man rubbed his callus hand and asked.
"Do you still rember what I told you about the necromancer class mystics?"
"Co to the point." Charles wore an annoying look and glared at him.
Without minding his glare, Oswald made an amusing smile and answered.
"Unlike other Mystics, necromancers face severe restriction from the 'Will' of the world. If he really is a Rank-5 [Sorcerer of the Dead], then he must have long abandoned the humanity and entered the realm of immortal."
"Immortal? You an he beca a pure 'Lich'?" Charles instantly grasped the point and widened his eyes.
"Yes, a pure Lich. But becoming an undead Lich is not an easy matter. If soone dares to turn himself into a pure Lich in Edhen, he has to face the wrath of the 'Will' of this plane. He will be forced to move away from this plane."
"Does that an he is still a Rank-4 Mystic?" A flash of surprise appeared on Charles's face.
"Yes. He is not a pure Lich but a Demi-Lich. Unlike Lich, who ford a true phylactery, Demi-Lich is not all-powerful. As long as you destroy the fake phylactery in his body, you can completely kill him."
anwhile, Charles wore a troubled look and asked with a frown.
"What is phylactery?"
"It can be anything. It may in the form of a crown, a small bone fragnt, a small dagger, or anything. But Demi-Lich would always place this important material close to him. As long as you destroy that phylactery, you will have an easier ti defeating this Demi-Lich." Oswald responded calmly.
anwhile, Charles nodded his head in understanding and soon shifted his attention towards his Inner World.
At that mont, he received a few pieces of information and soon widened his eyes.
'Lord Reid is a mber of the Destiny Conquerors organization… But, Vivian or others haven't received any help from the organization during the past few years… In a sense, these mbers are acting privately under Reid's order…'
'As for their ties with Divine Order organization, it's more like an alliance, huh… Hmm, I will use Vivian's identity to infiltrate into this small unnad organization and wait for the opportunity. With this accurate level of shape-shifting skill, Vivian's lifelong mories, and the soul orb abilities, I can indeed fool everyone. Although Louise might suspect that sothing is odd about , I can convince her. After that, I will stay hidden in their hideout for a month or two while gathering information and form a plan to eliminate the whole unnad organization.'
