"Is the electric saw plugged in?"

"It is, it is, no worries."

Once confird, the tent instantly filled with the buzzing sound of the saw.

Even those outside couldn’t help but shiver upon hearing it.

There’s a saying among them: Those who work with bones must have been craftsn in their last or the one before, always hamring or chiseling away.

Lu Jing was sweating profusely on his forehead and face, unlike in a hospital’s operating room where he would have assistants to dab away his sweat.

Yet, however uncomfortable it was, he endured it.

He devoted himself to performing the surgery on the little boy.

Nurse Director looked on, sowhat worried. She was busy with tasks at hand and couldn’t leave.

"Everything alright?"

Doctor Lu’s body was already in the third month of pregnancy, a notably unstable ti.

Hadn’t he been moved to outpatient care since confirming his pregnancy?

Each day rely required clocking in from eight in the morning to five in the evening, without the need to stay at the ward or, let alone, the operating room.

Lu Jing was indeed tired, but he hadn’t reached a point of discomfort just yet.

"It’s okay."

Seeing this, Nurse Director managed to free one hand and took the surgical tool from Dr. Yu:

"Yu, go and wipe Doctor Lu’s sweat."

"Okay."

Lu Jing initially wanted to refuse, but seeing the Nurse Director’s worried expression, he swallowed his refusal.

....

The surgery took nearly four hours.

If this were to be done in a hospital, it would have taken at least six hours.

After all, there are too many procedures in a hospital.

It was only because Lu Jing was highly skilled and fast that they were able to save quite a bit of ti.

Finally, at the mont the surgery ended, a loud rumbling sound echoed from outside.

"It’s the helicopter, the rescue helicopter, Uncle jfj is coming to save us!"

"Yes, it’s jfj!"

"We’re saved!"

From afar, Jiang Ye began instructing his team mbers to get ready:

"Xiao Mao, you take so people over to carry the injured villagers here. When the aircraft lands, send them up first."

"Yes, Captain Jiang!"

"Be careful."

"Yes!"

Xiao Mao ran over, shouting loudly:

"Carrying people, carrying people, the aircraft is about to land, everyone tighten up and be careful not to get injured."

A helicopter rotor hitting a person can either break limbs or, worse, kill on the spot.

It was then that Jiang Ye approached the tent, not rashly entering but standing at the entrance:

"Wife, is it over? The helicopter’s here."

Inside the tent, Lu Jing tilted his head upon hearing him:

"It’s over, we’re almost done, have so people co in."

"Okay."

He gestured for two team mbers to co over, naturally including himself.

When the three of them lifted the tent flap and entered, a strong sll of blood greeted them, almost causing them to vomit.

Jiang Ye was fine, but the two team mbers actually started to throw up.

Luckily, they were already very hungry, so there was nothing to throw up.

The little boy was already settled, and Nurse Director and Dr. Yu were arranging the blankets.

Lu Jing finally took a mont to shake his numb arms.

Maintaining one position for a long ti while being highly tensed was truly exhausting!

But even if Jiang Ye could see this, he wouldn’t act as he might at ho by massaging and soothing those muscles.

Everyone was still busy with the rescue.

However, with the helicopter already here, the main forces were surely not far behind.

Jiang Ye’s gaze suddenly turned deep, staring unwaveringly at Lu Jing.
