Jiang Huai was quite shaken by his own mother’s words for a mont but, at last, he figured it out.
"Ahem."
He nearly burst into laughter.
"Alright, understood, dear mother."
No doubt about it, he was extrely pleased.
In the entire hospital room, probably only Li Wu on the hospital bed was still confused; everyone else seed to understand perfectly well.
"Xiao Wu just had surgery and needs to rest, so we will head back to make preparations and leave Ah Huai here."
When Jiang’s mother spoke, naturally there were no objections.
Jiang Ye kept his hand on his wife’s lower back, and the couple walked at the back of the group.
Lu Jing looked back several tis, quite worried, and saw Jiang Huai sitting beside the bed on a chair, deliberately making all sorts of faces to amuse Li Wu on the bed.

After the door closed, the couple silently exchanged glances.
"Let’s go," Lu Jing said.
But Jiang Ye didn’t move; instead, he held onto the woman tighter:
"Are you sure you’re okay? Shouldn’t we get you checked out?
It’s convenient since we’re already at the hospital."
Lu Jing couldn’t help but roll her eyes several tis:
"Don’t waste dical resources, let’s go!"
Her tone was quite irritable.
Was this man overreacting so much?
If there was really a problem, wouldn’t it have surfaced by now? And wasn’t she just fine?
Jiang Ye had no choice but to scratch his head a few tis before catching up:
"Alright, alright, no checkup," he conceded.
He once again assertively wrapped his arm around the woman’s waist, his face full of tenderness.
Lu Jing pretended to struggle a few tis:
"Let go, there are so many people around, aren’t you annoying?"
But the man didn’t feel there was anything amiss:
"What’s there to be afraid of? I’m hugging my wife, not so other woman."
While saying this, he even tightened his grip a bit more.

Ti flew by quickly, and in the blink of an eye, a week passed.
It was Friday again.
That afternoon, the hospital was quite empty.
Li Wu was officially being discharged that day, and Jiang Huai was laden with bags and packages, looking like a little lackey.
Thankfully, they didn’t bump into any of the company employees.
Otherwise, Mr. Jiang’s reputation would have surely plumted.
Father Jiang had flown abroad to handle business affairs at an overseas branch last night, so naturally, only Jiang’s mother ca to the hospital.
Jiang’s mother had first gone to the outpatient departnt to find Lu Jing, and then the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law headed to the inpatient departnt together.
When they arrived, Jiang Huai was helping Li Wu out of the ward.
"Jing’er!" Li Wu was the first to spot them, calling out.
And she also called out, "Aunt Su!"
Her face turned bright red.
Even a fool could figure out that everyone must have learned about her and Jiang Huai’s embarrassing matters.
And with the way Jiang’s mother was behaving now, she clearly seed to be treating Li Wu as her future daughter-in-law; otherwise, why would she personally co to pick her up from the hospital?
Fortunately, Jiang’s mother had always been extrely emotionally intelligent and was particularly kind:
"Xiao Wu, are you feeling better?" she asked with concern.
Li Wu felt she had gained quite a bit of weight over the past days, and it wasn’t just her imagination—she could tell by how her pants waist had tightened. If this wasn’t gaining weight, then what was it?
"I’m all better now, Aunt Su."
Jiang’s mother smiled and nodded, her gaze quite aningful as she glanced at her second son:
"Ah Huai didn’t make you angry, did he? If he dares, you co straight to Aunt Su, and I’ll take care of it for you!"
Cough, cough, cough.
Jiang Huai began to cough in a series:
"Mom, what are you talking about?"
What kind of mother talks like that?
Hmph!
Jiang’s mother gave a look that utterly disregarded her own son.
"Xiao Wu, what would you like to eat later?"
