"All right, cut the chatter, let’s go upstairs."

It was about ti for dinner.

Jiang Ye had kept holding on, gently supporting the woman’s lower back the whole way, willingly so.

When the three of them stepped into the private room, they saw that everyone was already seated.

Lu Yan and his wife Bai Luo were pouring tea for the elders. Bai Luo greeted them:

"Lao Si, Jingjing, Ah Huai, how co you’re all together?"

Jiang Huai giggled, then answered:

"Sister Luo, we t downstairs."

Bai Luo nodded:

"Take your seats, Jingjing. You and Lao Si co sit over here, it’s not convenient on that side, the dishes will be served soon."

A sister-in-law who could be as attentive and take such good care of her younger sister-in-law like Bai Luo was indeed rare, almost too good to be true.

Naturally, no one present had any objections.

Everyone took their seats. Since the dishes were yet to be served completely, everyone started chatting.

The elders had hurried over mainly to discuss the young couple’s wedding.

The pregnancy was already a fact, yet the wedding had not taken place.

So, they needed to decide when exactly the wedding would be.

Jiang’s mother didn’t beat around the bush, directly cutting to the chase:

"Old Lu, what do you and your wife think about Aye and Jing’s situation?"

Thoughts?

The Lu’s shook their heads:

"We don’t have any particular thoughts. What are your plans, in-laws?"

Jiang’s mother didn’t hesitate:

"I think it’s best to hold the wedding as soon as possible. Jing, what do you think? Ultimately, it’s up to you."

Huh?

A wedding?

Lu Jing wasn’t particularly concerned about this. After all, they had a marriage certificate, and the child would be born in wedlock, not out of wedlock!

But of course, the elders had different thoughts, more traditional and conservative.

"I..."

She looked helplessly at the man beside her for support.

Jiang Ye, of course, wouldn’t let his wife face all this alone, and took her hand firmly in his:

"It’s up to you. If you want to do it now, we’ll do it, and if not, we’ll postpone it."

Although Jiang Ye had been looking forward to it for many years, the special circumstances now ant that his wife’s health was the priority.

Lu Jing hesitated, unsure of what to choose at the mont.

Then, Lu’s mother spoke up:

"Jingjing, Mom agrees with Aunt Su, it’s better to hold the wedding sooner rather than later!"

After all, outsiders don’t look at a marriage certificate. If you have a child before a wedding ceremony, who knows what kind of rumors could spread.

Even Mr. Lu nodded in agreent.

Lu Jing pressed her lips tighter, not that she didn’t want to, but she was just a little afraid of marriage.

To hold a wedding was to declare it to the whole world!

Yet, the current situation really wasn’t conducive to selfishness.

Besides, Lu Jing didn’t want her unborn child to be the subject of baseless rumors.

As a mother, she could only hope for the best for her child!

Lu Jing gripped the man’s hand tightly, glanced at everyone once more, and finally nodded:

"Okay, let’s plan for the wedding as soon as possible!"

The mont she said this, the man beside her was the most excited of all, almost losing control of his strength.

Thankfully, he managed to rein it in at the last mont or else he might have hurt his wife.

Imdiately, everyone smiled.

Their faces unanimously reflected genuine happiness and blessings.

They were the closest family mbers, after all.

"Okay, okay, now that things are decided, let’s not talk anymore, let’s eat."

The full spread of dishes hadn’t arrived yet, but the cold dishes and appetizers were already served.
