After asking around, both old couples had already arrived at the outpatient building and then went looking for the office number they were inford of.
Lu Jing was still seeing patients and didn’t even notice the elderly standing at the door.
Eventually, it was the intern who noticed first and stepped forward,
"Hello, can I help you with anything?"
Thinking they were patients here for consultation.
Jiang’s mother smiled and waved her hand:
"No, no, we’re waiting for Doctor Lu."
Eh?
Waiting for Doctor Lu?
Surprised, the intern then called out to the office:
"Doctor Lu, Doctor Lu, soone is looking for you."
Lu Jing then looked up and was completely stunned:
"Dad, Mom?"
"Uncle Jiang, Aunt Su?"
What a surprise!
Why had they all co?
Although she knew they were coming, she had never thought they would co to the hospital to find her.
Jiang’s mother and Lu’s mother both smiled brightly:
"Girl, you go ahead with your work; we’ll wait out here."
Father Jiang and Mr. Lu were even prouder, especially Mr. Lu, who couldn’t hide his joy; every eyebrow seed to smile.
This was his beloved daughter, after all!
Look how remarkable she is!
Lu Jing couldn’t possibly just leave her patients unattended. Once she saw the elders seated outside, she naturally continued her consultations.
Still very detailed and serious, without any hint of perfunctory treatnt.
After a thorough examination:
"It might require surgery."
"Ah? Surgery? Is it that serious?"
Lu Jing’s mouth twitched:
"Do you think your condition is minor? The scan clearly shows severe deformity of the spine. Do you know what the consequences would be if you don’t have surgery?"
Even a fool could guess—it definitely wouldn’t be good.
Instantly deflated like a punctured ball, head drooping:
"Doctor, when can the surgery be done?" he asked.
"Admit today, and if it’s fast, it can be done in two days."
"Then, who will perform the surgery? It won’t be so doctor who just graduated, right?"
It’s normal for patients to have these concerns, and quite a few do.
Lu Jing was used to it:
"Usually, the chief will do it."
Hearing that a chief-level doctor would be performing the surgery, the man instantly relaxed:
"Okay, let’s proceed with the surgery."
"You’re sure? Shall I start the admission paperwork?"
The man nodded:
"Yes, let’s do it. The surgery needs to be done sooner or later, right?"
Quite nonchalant.
Lu Jing swiftly filled out the admission form, printed it, signed it, and then handed it to the patient:
"Take this to the hospitalization departnt building on the first floor to pay, then go directly to the orthopedic departnt and find the nurse’s station; they’ll sort everything out for you."
"Okay, thank you, Doctor."
"You’re welco, feel free to co to if there’s anything unclear."
"Ey, will do!"
After the patient left, several more ca for consultation.
When all the work was done, it was already ten minutes past the end of her shift.
She quickly tidied up the desk, took her mobile phone and handbag out of the cabinet:
"Xiao Ling, I’m leaving."
"Okay, Doctor Lu, see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow."
Lu Jing left the office, and Mr. Lu, Lu’s mother, and the others had naturally already heard the noise and had stood up from their chairs:
"Girl, have you finished work?"
Lu Jing nodded:
"Yes, I’m off now."
Speaking of mothers, of course, they must feel concerned.
At ho, their daughter is still carrying a child, and yet she cos to work every day to see so many patients—hopefully, she won’t overexert herself.
