Jiang Ye knew his wife wasn’t foolish, but he hadn’t expected her to guess so quickly.
There was no escaping it.
Lying was even more impossible!
Moreover, for this kind of thing, it wasn’t worth lying to his wife about.

Hearing this, Lu Jing didn’t pursue the matter any further.
Just then, the rice cooker beeped.
"Let’s stir-fry."
"Okay, why don’t you go out for a bit? The fus here are too strong."
He felt sorry for his wife.
Lu Jing nodded and really went out without any hesitation.

About ten minutes later, both dishes were ready.
"Wife, ti to eat."
"Okay."
At that mont, Lu Jing was lying on the sofa, scrolling through her phone. Hearing her husband call, she imdiately responded, but didn’t move at all.
Then, Jiang Ye carried out the dishes, and upon seeing this scene, he shook his head helplessly, though his indulgent smile never left his face.
"Stop playing, eat first then play."
Lu Jing then put her phone down and sat up:
"Alright," then she walked over to the dining area.
She didn’t even need to do anything; she just sat, and soone filled her bowl and handed it to her.
This kind of treatnt was definitely unmatched at the mont.
"Jiang Ye, your cooking skills are really improving, huh?"
Pfft!
"Oh? Can I take that as a complint from my wife?"
"It is!"
"Okay, I thought you wanted to take on all the cooking duties in the future."
Cough cough cough, conspiracy theories, huh!
Lu Jing had just picked up her chopsticks to eat when she heard her husband’s comnt and almost spit out her food.
"Did I?"
"What do you think?"
Hiss.
Forget it, better just eat.
However, as soon as she put the food in her mouth and chewed once, a wave of nausea surged up her throat.
"Ew... Ew..."
She threw down her bowl and chopsticks and rushed to the bathroom.
Jiang Ye was stunned for a while before reacting, and quickly got up:
"Wife, what’s wrong? Do we need to go to the hospital?"
He was really worried.
At this mont, Lu Jing was still vomiting violently.
It was the kind of vomiting that felt like it was turning her inside out.

Though Lu Jing seed calm on the outside, inside she was anything but. Being a doctor, she instantly thought of a possibility.

But, she just couldn’t believe it.
Could it really be?
After splashing water on her face for a while, to the point that her husband couldn’t stand it and spoke up,
"Wife, are you okay?"
Lu Jing then snapped out of it:
"Yeah, let’s go out."
She was escorted to sit on the living room sofa, then Lu Jing suddenly blurted out a sentence that made her husband very uneasy:
"Jiang Ye, go buy a pregnancy test."
