The car made its way from the police station back to the fire brigade, and by the ti they arrived, it was almost three in the morning. There wasn’t a soul in sight except for the two guards at the entrance.
Jiang Ye carried the woman out of the car, and Lu Jing finally ca to:
"Are we there?" she asked.
"Yeah, you awake?"
Lu Jing rubbed her eyes, then patted the man’s wrist:
"I can walk on my own, put down."
Being asleep was one thing, but now she was awake, it was another.
She wasn’t that much of a drama queen.
Jiang Ye had no choice but to let her down:
"Why so sleepy? Are you sure you’re not feeling unwell?" he asked again.
Lu Jing shook her head:
"No, I’m certain."
What else could Jiang Ye say?
"Alright, let’s go ho."
If she really wasn’t feeling well, they’d have to wait until daylight to deal with it.
It’s easier to find a doctor in the light of day, after all. In the deep of night, only ergency is available, which isn’t very convenient.
Maybe having slept a while, she didn’t feel quite so sleepy anymore.
"Jiang Ye."
"Hmm?"
"Today, I....."
At the police station, there were many things she hadn’t managed to say.
Now that they were ho, couldn’t she let out her frustrations?
Jiang Ye knew his wife wasn’t as tough as she seed; in fact, she was quite fragile.
Of course, he could only think this to himself and wouldn’t dare to say it out loud.
He closed the door behind them and wrapped his arms around her lower back:
"I’m here, don’t be afraid, nothing’s going to happen."
As if he would just stand by if sothing did happen!
Lu Jing wrapped her arms around his waist:
"But I still feel so upset."
It was inevitable, after all, they’d been involved with a real, living creature.
Jiang Ye gently kissed the top of her head:
"You’re that upset, huh? Bite then!"
Maybe venting really could relieve her distress?
But Lu Jing wasn’t that type of person, how could she just bite on command?
She gave him a sideways glance while letting go:
"Get lost!"
This guy had no sense of romance!
Pfft.
Truth be told, he was doing it on purpose.
As long as it could cheer up his wife, anything goes.
Jiang Ye’s little diversion had indeed lightened the sadness in Lu Jing’s heart substantially.
She turned and headed for the kitchen:
"I’m going to get so water, do you want so?"
The man laughed:
"Yes."
How could he refuse when his wife offered to pour him water?
He followed her all bouncy, then once she fetched the water, he darted back ahead of her with the sa bouncy steps.
Lu Jing had noticed the whole ti and now she couldn’t help but purse her lips:
Juvenile!
Such a grown man, how could he be so childish?
It was a good thing the other firen weren’t around to see this, or who knows how their jaws would drop.
The Great Demon Jiang, to think he had such a side to him... it seems words fail to describe.
Jiang Ye chuckled heartily at his wife:
"Madam~"
Tsk.
Lu Jing quickly handed over the water glass:
"Drink."
Please, spare her the act.
She just couldn’t stand it.
But despite her apparent distaste, inside she was feeling quite sweet.
So, indeed, her mood improved greatly.
"Jiang Ye."
He had just taken a sip, "What now?"
Hopefully, there wasn’t sothing else.
But of course, there was no other matter.
"Nothing much, can’t I just call you?"
Ahem.
"Of course not, absolutely not. Madam can call however she wishes, no objections whatsoever!"
Would he dare to object?
Does he think he has it too easy in life?
Lu Jing rolled her eyes:
"Was it Officer Zhu who inford you?"
"Yeah."
"And then you ca?"
"Otherwise what? Leave you there alone? How could I be at ease?"
He didn’t consider just how much this man cherished his woman.
