Upstairs.
Lu Jing had just pushed the door open and stepped in, barely stable on his feet, when soone embraced him from behind, pressing him forcefully against the door.

He couldn’t move at all.
"What are you freaking out about?" The tone was unfriendly.
Jiang Ye could obviously sense the strong resistance in the woman’s voice, but at a ti like this, he certainly couldn’t let go!
"Alright, alright, don’t be mad." He even started to soothe her in a gentle voice.
Lu Jing stopped struggling and glanced up at the man in front of her:

After saying that, Lu’s mother turned and left, her footsteps considerably quicker than usual, bounding down the stairs two at a ti rather than the slow, cautious descent she normally took.
Jiang Ye watched Lu’s mother go down before he closed the door to re-enter.
On the big bed, Lu Jing was actually awake too; she was just too exhausted and sleepy, unwilling to open her eyes.
Jiang Ye saw through it and approached:
"Aren’t you getting up? Soon your mother-in-law might co in."
No reaction, completely disregarding him.
