The next day.
Lu Jing was awakened by bursts of tantalizing scents. When he stirred awake, there was no one beside him already.
The air slled of soy milk, soup dumplings, and youtiao...
*Gurgles,* his little stomach fittingly grumbled twice.
He sat up.
Even though he knew where he was, he still felt a bit dazed, as if he was in a dream.
He got out of bed and went outside.
Lu Jing had just stepped out of the room when a figure erged from the kitchen.
"Miss Lu, good morning!"
Huh?
To suddenly encounter a stranger in the house early in the morning, Lu Jing was totally bewildered.
Thankfully, the auntie had already begun to introduce herself:
"My na is Li, and it’s Young Master Jiang who arranged for to take care of Miss Lu’s als and daily life.
This morning was a bit rushed, so I just quickly made so things. I don’t know if they suit Miss Lu’s tastes."
Arranged by Jiang Ye?
A hanging heart settled down:
"Where is he?"
"Young Master Jiang went for a run, he should be back soon."
As Aunt Li finished her last word, soone had already co in through the door:
"What are you talking about ?"
You could tell his mood was very good.
Naturally, after six years of sleeping alone, to finally sleep with his wife for a night, that’s an incredibly euphoric feeling!
And there he was, off for a jog before the sky even brightened.
With a stranger present, Lu Jing felt a bit uncomfortable. It was Aunt Li who replied:
"Talking about you running, Miss Lu was just asking."
Lu Jing thought, can’t you talk without dragging into it?
Sure enough, Jiang Ye approached with a face full of smiles, leaned down, and got close to the woman’s eyes:
"Miss so much, huh?"
Hiss~
Lu Jing extended her hand to push away the extrely magnified handso face in front of her:
"Have so sha," she muttered under her breath.
Aunt Li of course didn’t hear, as she had already turned around to busy herself in the kitchen.
So, a certain soone didn’t have any sense to stop, suddenly reaching out to embrace the woman.
Their bodies pressed tightly against each other, feeling the warmth emanating from within each other clearly.
"Why would I need sha in front of you?"
Thick-skinned ones get to feast.
Those who want face might end up with nothing to drink.
Of this, a certain person understood deeply.
Worried that Aunt Li would co out and see, Lu Jing pushed a few more tis:
"Let go, I need to wash up."
The man was loathe to let go of the silky smooth touch beneath his palms:
"Hold on for a bit longer," he said with a husky voice.
"Jiang Ye, if you keep this up, I’m leaving!"
Okay, that statent had so serious deterrent power.
The certain soone finally let go:
"Alright alright, be good, eat breakfast, and I’ll take you sowhere."
Lu Jing frowned slightly:
"Where to?" she asked.
"You’ll know when we get there."
Making it all mysterious, Lu Jing wasn’t too keen on agreeing.
"Don’t think about refusing. Refusal is not an option; you have to go!"
???
Knowing refusing would be futile, Lu Jing couldn’t be bothered to argue fruitlessly, rolled her eyes, and finally turned back into the master bedroom.
...
Ten minutes later, the two of them were already sitting side by side in the dining room.
The table was full of breakfast foods, both Chinese and Western.
Having lived abroad for six years, Lu Jing had gotten used to Western breakfasts.
Just as he was about to grab so bread and juice, a thick cup of soy milk appeared in front of him:
"Why drink juice this early in the morning?"
While saying so, he also picked up two steaming soup dumplings and a crispy golden half-fried youtiao onto the plate and slid it over.
"Eat first; I’ll peel the eggs for you."
Lu Jing looked on in bewildernt.
As for Aunt Li, who had been mopping the floor in the kitchen, saw this scene and smiled kindly and amicably:
"Not bad, not bad. A man should cherish his wife, pamper his wife, shouldn’t he?"
Lu Jing opened her mouth but surprisingly couldn’t make a sound.
The certain person, however, very seriously nodded and added:
"Yes, won are naturally ant to be cherished. They should never be wronged!"
That statent seed to carry an underlying ssage.
