The couple sat on the reception couch, and the staff quickly brought them two glasses of water and left.
It wasn’t long before the director arrived, within minutes.
"Young Master Jiang, I apologize for being late; there was traffic on the way."
Then, seeing Lu Jing, he hastily greeted with a smile:
"Is this Miss Lu? Oh, no no, it’s Mrs. Jiang!"
Being called Mrs. Jiang to her face, Lu Jing wasn’t that composed.
Cough cough.
"Hello."
The male director took a stack of docunts from the nearby cabinet and pulled out two:
"You need to sign these, two copies each. Sign and then put your fingerprints."
Jiang Ye took them and saw they were the marriage registration forms, which made him freeze completely.
When he ca to his senses, his hair was full of excitent and thrill.
Lu Jing saw the man’s initial reaction, her lips twitched a few tis, then she pulled him to sit down:
"Sign here," she whispered a reminder.
"Oh yes, sign."
Soone almost beca incomprehensible there!
Once again seated on the reception couch, Jiang Ye sat up straight, an utterly solemn expression on his face.
After all, such a big occasion happens only once in a lifeti, it must be taken seriously!
With a few swift strokes, he flamboyantly signed ’Jiang Ye’ at the designated spot.
Lu Jing, still focused, was prodded in the back by the impatient man:
"Wife, what are you thinking about? You’re not having second thoughts, are you?"
Anything else she could agree to, but definitely not this!
They were here now, today they had to sign, sign or not!
Lu Jing truly had no such thoughts, and couldn’t help but roll her eyes:
"Shut up!"
Didn’t he see there were others watching?
How could soone with skin thicker than the walls of a city understand the feelings of soone with thin skin?
The man shrugged his shoulders, with a look that said ’Okay, okay, I’ll shut up, just sign quickly.’
Lu Jing didn’t delay, took the pen, and signed her na where needed.
Two copies each, they even swapped copies.
Once the signing was done, the director briefly checked:
"Alright, go take pictures now; the staff is waiting inside."
Jiang Ye stood up and thanked the director with a nod:
"Thank you."
"Young Master Jiang, don’t be so formal, just bring over a couple of wedding sweets during the wedding."
"Alright!"
....
During the photo shoot, Jiang Ye’s expression was serious because of his excitent.
It looked less like he was getting married, not at all like getting divorced, more like he was here to collect debts.
"Mr. Jiang, smile a bit. Your expression won’t look good in the photos."
His own reputation was at stake.
It might have been better not to ntion it, but once ntioned, the man’s expression grew even more stern.
Actually, Jiang Ye didn’t want to be like this, but couldn’t help it; what could he do?
Lu Jing couldn’t help but turn her head to the side:
"What’s wrong, Jiang Ye?" she whispered.
The man bowed his head slightly and whispered:
"Nervous."
That word made Lu Jing burst into laughter.
Nervous?
That word hardly ever appears in his dictionary, right?
"Shall we co back another day?" Lu Jing teased.
The man imdiately disapproved, his hand quickly grabbing her wrist:
"Don’t even think about it! There’s no changing days!"
"Then you better shape up!"
The line outside was growing longer now.
The man, holding back the uncontrollable excitent and nervousness within him, took a deep breath:
"Okay, let’s do this."
