Hospital room.

Lu Jing was sitting up in bed and, hearing so noise, looked up.

"You’re back?" he asked.

Upon seeing him, Jiang Ye finally breathed a sigh of relief.

His heart was about to burst out when he hadn’t seen anyone just a mont ago.

After all, it was only today that they had experienced a heart-stopping ergency.

Even the formidable Jiang Ye seed unable to completely relax and was still visibly shaken.

Standing at the door, Jiang Ye nodded and walked in:

"It was too late, so I just grabbed whatever was at the night market."

As he spoke, he opened the plastic bag he was carrying and took out newly bought clothes for changing.

Goodness, all tiny floral prints.

The clothes, pants, and a cardigan—Lu’s mother wouldn’t usually wear such an outdated style, a soy sauce color with a row of black, round buttons—very eye-catching.

Lu Jing couldn’t hold back and let out a snort of laughter.

"No, wait, let see yours."

If his own clothes were this striking, he really wanted to see what sort of style the man’s would be!

Jiang Ye’s face flashed a hint of discomfort, but he obediently took clothes out of another plastic bag.

A grayish-blue work jacket, the kind favored by migrant workers, the T-shirt was plain black and not too outdated, and the pants, well, they were the type that middle-aged n in their forties and fifties loved to wear.

Snort!

Jiang Ye lost his composure:

"I told you, I just bought them randomly at the market."

All the shops outside were closed at this hour, weren’t they?

Although it was just a phone call away and soone would handle it right away, Jiang Ye didn’t really want to bother others at this ti.

And yet, here he was, being laughed at so rcilessly by his wife.

Sigh!

Ahem.

After laughing for a while, Lu Jing collected himself.

"Alright, alright, I’ll stop laughing, I’ll go change."

Having sothing to wear was already great at this ti; there was no reason to complain.

Lu Jing took the clothes to the en suite bathroom of the hospital room, while Jiang Ye quickly set out the other purchased items, such as a washbasin, toothbrush, rinse cup, face towel, toilet paper, and so on.

After setting everything up and seeing that the woman hadn’t co out yet, he took out his phone to order takeout.

Since eating lunch, he hadn’t had a single grain of rice!

He hadn’t felt it while on edge, but now that he had relaxed, the hunger felt obvious and his stomach was sticking to his back.

The bathroom door opened with a ’clang’, and Lu Jing walked out.

They do say, "Clothes make the man, just as saddle makes the horse," but that saying doesn’t seem to apply to good-looking people!

Attractive people look good even in a sack!

Lu Jing still felt sowhat uncomfortable, continually tugging at the clothes on his body.

Feeling the man’s gaze, she couldn’t resist rolling her eyes:

"What are you looking at? Do I have flowers on my face?"

There were no flowers!

But, there was a floral lass indeed.

Head to toe in tiny floral prints, a perfect rural fusion vibe!

However, Jiang Ye didn’t dare to actually say that; he snickered to himself no, no, no, and went into the bathroom with his clothes.

Lu Jing, on the other hand, didn’t think much of it; she wasn’t too focused on that aspect.

Just as she was about to sit down, Lu Yan arrived.

It was clear he had co in haste, his forehead hair all standing from the windblown look, but that face, his looks could certainly carry it.

"Jingjing!"

"Brother!"

Lu Jing hurriedly greeted him, only to be grasped by the arms by Lu Yan:

"Is everything okay?" he asked urgently.

Lu Jing shook her head:

"I’m fine, really fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Brother, I’m very sure, can’t you trust ?"

In such a situation, there was no need to lie, right?

"Otherwise, you can ask the doctor!"
