"Lu’er, co upstairs with to pack so things."

With Jiang Ye speaking up, Lu Jing certainly couldn’t refuse:

"Sure!"

Then, after greeting the Jiang Family’s elders, he followed Jiang Ye upstairs.

...

Once upstairs, inside the room, and with the door closed, everything happening downstairs was inaudible.

As soon as he entered the room, he pulled the woman down onto the large bed:

"Don’t mind what Jiang Qiu said just now."

Hmm.

"I don’t mind."

It’s not like it was six years ago; now, even if you call a vixen a hundred tis to my face, Lu Jing wouldn’t bat an eyelid.

One insult won’t make lose a piece of flesh.

Plus, nowadays, being called a vixen is quite flattering—it ans you’re pretty!

It’s not like it was decades ago.

"Really?"

"Of course, she’s just a nonessential person. Why should I waste my energy and concern over her? Do I have nothing better to do?"

The man started to laugh:

"Good, as long as it doesn’t bother you."

He had been worried.

Lu Jing sat up:

"Aren’t we supposed to pack?" he asked.

The man pointed to the wardrobe:

"Will you help pack?"

Hmm.

"Wifey~"

"Darling~"

"Stop, enough already, I’ll do it!"

The person being called got goose bumps all over.

Jiang Ye was lying on the bed in a big "X", laughing and looking totally content.

Of course, his eyes never left the woman.

This was Lu Jing’s first visit to Jiang Ye’s room. His gaze swept around; it was very simple. Much of the furniture was old-fashioned and many years old, but well-maintained, having a unique charm.

There weren’t many clothes in the wardrobe, just a few suits.

So, packing was even easier:

"Do you want T-shirts or dress shirts?" he asked.

"Whatever you choose, I’ll wear," was the carefree reply.

Lu Jing pursed his lips and eventually took out two T-shirts and a dress shirt:

"That should be enough."

It wasn’t a long trip; three sets of clothes would suffice.

Jiang Ye didn’t make any suggestions, just watched. This was a scene he had dread of having.

After packing the clothes, he found a few pairs of pants and so clean underwear, stuffing everything into a large bag beside him.

"Done!"

The man gave a confirming "Hmm."

Lu Jing thought they would leave right away, but the man was still lounging on the bed.

"What’s up? Aren’t we going?"

"No rush, I want to etch this image into my mind."

In two words, sentintal!

Lu Jing rolled his eyes; he had never seen such a sentintal man!

"Got it morized?"

"Done."

He suddenly sat up, smiling.

Lu Jing tossed the bag over to him:

"Take this and let’s get going."

"Okay."

The two ca downstairs, and Jiang’s mother imdiately approached:

"Jing, be careful when you’re out and don’t catch a cold."

"Of course, Aunt Su, I know. I’ll be careful."

Jiang’s mother, still concerned, turned to her son:

"Take good care of Jing. If anything happens to her, I’m holding you responsible!"

Jiang Ye thought his mother was stating the obvious.

His woman, of course, he would take care of her.

If she got sick or hurt, no one would be more distressed than Jiang Ye.

"Okay, I got it."

Still, he agreed.

After all, it’s his mom!

They said their goodbyes to Old Sir Jiang and Father Jiang when leaving.

Jiang Huai and Jiang Yuan saw them off.

"Alright, you two better head back," Jiang Ye said to Jiang Huai.

Jiang Huai certainly understood his older brother’s hint—Jiang Qiu was still inside, and who knew if she might pick on their mother?
