This position is really quite good, with Jiang’s mother on the left and my own mom on the right, pretty fair indeed.
Jiang Yuan couldn’t stop laughing:
"Sister Lu, take a seat, take a seat."
Then, she laughed so hard she ended up leaning on the table.
Jiang Huai poked his own little sister several tis to no avail and simply gave up trying to manage her.
Cough.
He cleared his throat and turned to Lu Jing:
"Jing, it was you on the phone last ti, wasn’t it?"
Huh?
Lu Jing suddenly rembered, there was indeed one ti when soone was on the phone with Jiang Huai, and she had just co out of the shower, unable to find the hairdryer, and asked about it.
Could it be that everything was overheard?
Jiang Huai’s face showed clear understanding, while Lu Jing felt sowhat embarrassed, especially since all the elders were sitting around!
So embarrassing!
She nodded slightly, acknowledging it.
Lying was really unnecessary.
Jiang Huai didn’t continue to ask any other questions, and Jiang’s mother hurriedly said:
"Let’s start the al."
That finally eased the awkwardness.
Lu Jing quietly tugged at Lu’s mother’s hand. Although Lu’s mother was too upset to speak at first, seeing her daughter like that, she couldn’t bear it and sighed silently to herself:
"Let’s eat!"
She said dryly.
But Lu Jing was relieved, this ant her mother wasn’t actually very angry.
During the al, Lu Jing kept putting food on the plates for Mr. Lu and Lu’s mother.
Of course, she didn’t forget Jiang’s mother on the other side.
By the end of the al, Jiang’s mother couldn’t be happier, looking at Lu Jing with eyes that seed to wish she could take her ho right away.
She thought her eldest son was clueless, and that she had no hope of holding a grandchild in this lifeti.
But to her surprise, her eldest son didn’t need her to worry at all, as he had long identified and found soone suitable himself.
And he had good taste.
You see, Jiang’s mother had always had a particularly good impression of Lu Jing.
She even thought of matching her with her second son before!
With that thought, Jiang’s mother instantly rembered that situation.
No wonder!
No wonder the eldest son had been sarcastic at the ti, saying it wasn’t suitable, when in truth it was perfectly suitable for him.
Let bygones be bygones, no need to bring it up now.
To do so would be too awkward!
Jiang Yuan had long finished eating and suddenly leaned in quietly:
"Sister Lu, how many days off do you have this ti?" she asked.
"Six days, but I have to go on the sixth."
So all in all, just five days.
Jiang Yuan giggled:
"Sister Lu, if you have ti, could you accompany sowhere?"
Hmm?
"Where?"
"You’ll know when we get there."
"Okay."
Jing couldn’t bear to refuse the young girl’s request.
While the adults from both families were clearly still discussing matters, Lu Jing and both Jiang Yuan and Jiang Huai stood waiting at the side.
At that mont, a little figure ca running over in a hurry:
"Aunt!" he called.
Lu Jing caught her little nephew:
"What’s going on?" she asked.
The little guy was frantic:
"Aunt, Dad and Uncle Four are fighting."
Ah?
Fighting?
Upon hearing this, how could she just stand by?
"Yizhou, can you take aunt there?"
"Uh-huh, okay!"
Jiang Yuan and Jiang Huai exchanged glances and followed along.
...
At the rooftop of the hotel.
"Jiang Ye, do you have any idea our families aren’t that close?"
"I know!"
Lu Yan was taken aback:
"You know?" sowhat disbelieving.
Both had bruises on their faces; what were once two handso guys now looked pitiful.
Fortunately, they hadn’t continued fighting and were both lying on the ground, catching their breath.
"Lu’er told ."
Hiss!
"What did she tell you?"
