Jiang Ye just found her adorable and crouched down, pulling the woman closer:
"What did I do wrong this ti?" he countered.
Lu Jing huffed coldly:
"You tell ."
"Well, I wouldn’t know."
Who would admit being a jerk voluntarily?
The woman snuggled into the man’s embrace and soon, he wrapped her with the blanket and picked her up.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
Caught off guard and lifted into the air, she was quite startled.
"Going out to eat!"
Huh?
Yeah, it was already noon.
Whose fault was that?
Wasn’t it because soone was way too energetic last night, making it hard to get up early today?
Thinking of this, Lu Jing was fuming.
"Jiang Ye, you BT! Hoodlum! Liar!"
Wow, that’s a lot of resentnt, huh?
But, they didn’t really bla him wrongly.
He knew full well how awful he had been.
But as Jiang would say, "I’ve been gone for six years, and having finally managed to get it, shouldn’t I properly indulge?"
Shouldn’t he at least try to reclaim so of the past six years’ debts, or at least gather so interest?
Thus, as concluded, a man can’t stay austere for too long.

After a warm shower, she finally felt comfortable.
Even her stiff arms and legs could stretch out now.
When she ca out of the bathroom, she saw the man setting up food in the dining area.
The fire brigade’s cafeteria food was actually quite tasty, though communal pots couldn’t compare to individual stir-fries.
Lu Jing sauntered over slowly, the man considerately pulled out a chair for her, and everything was set up, short of feeding her.
Regarding this, Lu Jing was quite pleased.
"The fire departnt is organizing an event in a few days."
An event?
Lu Jing lifted her head:
"What event?"
"A fan eting."
"Huh?"
The fire departnt has fans now?
Having been abroad for a few years, Lu Jing was indeed out of touch with these dostic changes.
The man nodded:
"You can bring your friends to participate."
Lu Jing pursed her lips:
"Are you sure it’s a fan eting and not so sort of matchmaking event?"
She was really skeptical.
Jiang Ye laughed:
"If there are mutual interests, it’s not impossible, our brigade has too many single people and higher-ups have ordered we resolve their personal issues as soon as possible!"
Lu Jing smacked her lips:
"So, you want to..."
Wow, using her too.
Jiang Ye coughed but didn’t deny it:
"Wife, just help your man out."
Being a captain was really stressful!
Every ti he t with his superiors, this issue was unavoidable.
Fortunately, Jiang himself was no longer part of those needing resolution.
Lu Jing didn’t agree outright:
"I’ll ask around, if soone is willing to co, then we’ll see."
As for whether it would work out, that wasn’t guaranteed.
She hadn’t organized such events before!
Lu Jing didn’t realize that as the captain’s wife, she would encounter many more such instances in the future.
Captain Jiang was especially attentive this noon, and his mouth was full of sweet nothings.
"The wife is wonderful!"
"My wife is so conscientious!"
"Wife, you’ve worked hard!"
