Having said so much, how could I not agree?
"Alright, alright, is that settled now?"
"That’s more like it. I’m hanging up, the company has been busy with a lot of things these days, I’m practically dead."
Lu Jing laughed:
"Isn’t being busy a good thing? If you weren’t busy, you’d be crying."
"Yeah, you make a lot of sense, I feel energized again."
"Okay, I won’t keep the big boss from making money anymore."
...
Having returned from the airport and with nothing much to do, I thought about going to a nearby supermarket to buy so daily necessities.
It’s been almost two months since I returned to the country, and there were lots of things I hadn’t had ti to sort out.
Today was a free day, so I thought I’d take a look.
Huaining County rightfully claims to be the city’s most expensive property, with fully developed surrounding anities, you want sothing, they have it.
Lu Jing went to the nearest shopping center, it was huge, with supermarkets on the basent first floor, ground floor, second floor, and third floor; on the fourth floor, there were departnt stores and clothing shops; the fifth floor housed a cinema and a gym, and the top floor was filled with eateries.
Lu Jing first browsed the fourth floor, bought so comfortable T-shirts and trousers, none of them super brand-nas, just the affordable types.
After browsing the won’s section, I uncontrollably moved towards the n’s section right across.
It was only after I crossed over that I realized what I was doing.
Sweat...
What was I doing?
But since I was already there, I might as well look around.
I knew soone’s size by heart, I was too familiar with it.
So, when I spotted a n’s shirt that would be perfect for soone, I imdiately reported the size.
The shop owner chuckled:
"Buying clothes for your hubby?"
Lu Jing choked back:
"No."
Where did that ’hubby’ co from?
"Then it must be for your boyfriend, you’ve been together for a long ti?"
You’d think shop owners had a keen insight!
Being able to rattling off sizes like that, if not a wife shopping for her husband, surely has to be a girlfriend who’s been in a long-term relationship.
Lu Jing didn’t counter, and the shop owner, even more amused, called to an attendant:
"Miss, bring one."
"Right away, boss."
Soon, the shirt Lu Jing wanted was brought over.
The quality looked excellent at first glance, and it felt great to the touch.
So, it’s really not about how expensive the big brands are.
The owner was enthusiastic, chatting non-stop:
"Miss, we can alter the size of the clothes in our shop. If it doesn’t fit your partner, just bring it back anyti for adjustnts."
Lu Jing, thin-skinned, flushed red from the shopowner’s teasing:
"Just wrap it up, please," she stamred.
Then she quickly paid.
After getting the clothes, she swiftly left the store.
It was as if sothing was chasing her.
Who knew, just as she walked out, she bumped into soone.
"Sorry, sorry," she hurriedly apologized.
The other person apologized too:
"Sorry, sorry, I wasn’t paying attention."
Both then looked up and, lo and behold, it was soone I knew!
"Lu Lu?"
"Liu Yuan?"
Could college roommates not be familiar?
"No way, what are you doing here? When did you return to the country?" I was extrely surprised.
Lu Jing smiled:
"I ca back a while ago, just happened to have so free ti today to wander around."
Well.
Liu Yuan imdiately linked arms with Lu Jing:
"I also ca to buy clothes, didn’t expect to run into you.
It’s such a coincidence, He Ying and Chu Yingliu are coming over later, Lu Lu you should join us, it’s such a rare opportunity!"
Indeed, Lu Jing couldn’t easily refuse:
"Sure."
After all, back in the day, we were all dorm mates and got along very well.
